Thanks for the great update!!
On my blog the homepage is the most visited page, so the ‘top posts’ widget shows my homepage on number one. Is it posible to filter pages?

Until now, our errorlog has been 99% clean and the average load on our server 0.4
Today, after upgrading to v3 (and no other changes neither i traffic nor in the site itself):
1. We start seeing a lot of errorlog
2. Server load raise to average 1.4 (more than 3x normal)
How come – is v3 not ready for live use yet?

I tried to use module 7 on the homepage (for the article list), but it does not show any image for the articles. Only if the article has a featured video it shows the video.

I’m not sure i understood correctly what you want, please can you show me what you want in a screenshot or something.
The widgetised sidebar from visual composer select a sidebar that you can use it in the layout, and to manage the sidebar go to Appearance -> Widgets. Is just like a normal sidebar.
Also you can use Big slider and above you can add 2 column content + 1 column sidebar.

I would love to use something like homepage 3 demo, with slider but with sidebar as well. I used Homepage + blank and tried to force it using a Widgetised sidebar, but it doesn´t have all the options like the normal widgets/normal sidebar.
Is it possible to do another way? The big slider is too big and unable me to use sidebar from the top down in homepage.

I want on each page a custom sidebar on the right. On the homepage and another page it works.
On all other pages do not, there is always the default sidebar. If I switch my custom sidebar to the left, it works. At the right not. What can I do?

You can make the content with visual composer, switch to classic editor, copy the shortcode and add it as a shortcode directly in code like:
<?php echo do_shortcode('paste your shortcode here') ?>
Edit you template for homeapges are in root like page-homepage-loop.php

i think i figured it out.
for all who have the same issue and maybe @davistar -> so if you want to exclude X articles of the latest post:
go (via ftp) to /themes/newspaper/page-homepage-loop. there you have to edit line 130 to this:
query_posts(‘offset=4’);
in this case the first 4 articles would be excluded.

There is not even on the H1 Homepage, that is not Google friendly.
In which file is the loop that handles the home page. I just want to add a H1 but only on the home page, below the main navigation at the top of posts.

1. Big slider work only on full width(3 columns) you can use the Homepage blank template and add the Big slider with Visual Composer.
2. Use Homepage blank or Homepage – bg – no article list and add 2/3 + 1/3 columns with page buiilder. first column 2/3 add a block like you want to display the posts and use “Load more” as setting. http://screencast.com/t/8oDdcRyAQoW and use the next columns 1/3 as sidebar, add from page builder Widgetised sidebar and select a sidebar that you want to use.
3. To add another banner you have to add it directly in code, in v3 the file is in parts folder, the files with header…php(depends what style of header do you use)
4. The space can be reduced via CSS, use inspector from Chrome or firefox and add your custom css in style.css or in V3 we have a section for custom CSS.

Is there a way to have the big slider in a “blank template” with a sidebar next.If I use it in another page template than the Homepage+bg it is not working. Let me know if this is not clear.
Also I am trying to have your default latest articles in homepage but I would like to use the load more button. Is there a way to achieve this.
And a final one: I am trying to ad another (extra) banner above the logo and the existing top ad. What is the best way to do this.

I believe the theme will ask you to install plugins when you first launch the theme admin panel, if you don’t already have the revolution plugin installed.
If you skipped the “please install plugins” message, I think you can still manually install the plugin from:
/Magazin/includes/plugins/revslider.zip

2/ Excerpt setting is not working.
Although I try to fix excerpt to 10 Words on my homepage (category 9), that also not working and displayed all words.

I also fixed another thing after i did what you said (for the people who want to do the same).
The height was now 483px because of 3 column slider layout instead of 2 column slider layout on category pages. If you just use css to fix this you cut the image.
Here is what i did:
I changed the image the slider will use in includes/app/modules/td_module_slide.php on line 43.
$buffy .= $this->get_image(‘art-slide-big’);
change to:
$buffy .= $this->get_image(‘art-slide-med’);
After this i changed all the heights for the css class .iosSlider-col-3, .iosSlider-col-3 .item.
You can copy the heights from the css class .iosSlider-col-2, .iosSlider-col-2 .item for the correct heights.
