I have not seen any official word on this topic from TagDiv. I got the same message. As for FTP via FileZilla, I keep trying to download it from the offical site and Avast keeps flagging it as malware (grrr!). I thought about doing the patch instead of the full install and can see how that would get time consuming and cumbersome.
Is the issue due to an incompatibility in the latest WP release and the theme?
Cheers
Hi,
Please try to update your Social Counter to the latest version of it -> 4.1. Please disable it, delete it from Plugins area and then, from Premium Plugins section, please install from there because that version comes bundled with the theme and should work as properly.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Hi,
On the site I am working on, I have All-in-one Events plugin installed which post_type is ai1ec_event.
I’d like to show sone events together with standard posts in the blocks and as well in megamenus. But I cannot select events category/ies!
Blocks settings forms allow to select one or more categories but only for basic post_type “post”.
I Would like to include in the Category filter and in the Multiple categories filter, categories of the other post_type which I specify in Post Type field.
Only filling Post Type field allows only to show all posts of custom post Type, but not allows to specify categories of this post type even if specifeid in the Multiple categories filter.
Any idea how to do this?
Thanks in advance
Hi Catalin,
I did mention that I have encountered this issue the same day of the update but no answer. I updated the theme via Envato toolkit. I had to upload the mobile plugin from the last update in august.
I think the problem is with Envato toolkit as this time I can´t even see Install below the mobile plugin.
regards,
http://www.midronepro.com
Hi,
Do you refer to the policy of the theme? Normally the Envato policy allows using a theme only on one install. You can, however, use the theme on a sub-domain if you plan on creating a testing site, but if we are talking about totally different sites with different content, then only one theme per install is legally allowed: http://screencast.com/t/NqzloVgyUJB.
Hope this helps!
Thank you for the message
Hello,
My setup is multisite.
Basically, I wanted to bluid a website using newspaper with two different languages:
– 1 would be mycustomdomain.com for english
– 1 would be mycustomdomain.net for french
The main topic will be the same (economics) but with a different approach because of targeted audience.
It would be really easier for me to use the multisite approach as I like to keep things separated but now I thought that tragically, as those are two separate domain names, I may require 2 licenses which I can afford?
I don’t want to use qtranslate as I would prefer to keep each thin as easy as possible.
Do you have any suggestion?
Is it a big deal regarding licences if I use 2 different domain name, each holding one language?
Do you have any recommendations?
Thank you
Hello ralsiralsi,
Please notice that the Child Theme is an optional one which comes bundled with the main theme. A child theme is a theme that inherits the functionality and styling of another theme, called the parent theme. Child themes are the recommended way of modifying an existing theme. The child theme should have to be installed by yourself and loaded from the Theme packet in order to use it. For more information about child theme support, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ So, if you want to load the Child Theme on your website, please notice that you have to follow the next steps, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/OSutagcxZ -> http://screencast.com/t/uzxsVzwt
Thanks for your understanding!
HI
Those files are not available in wordpress editor, you will need to edit the required file on your computer then upload it on the server via ftp in your-wp-install-wp-content/themes/Newsmag/parts/header
Before making any changes in your site make sure you do a full backup to your current wp-install and the database also: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Thanks!
Hi ralsiralsi,
Please notice that you can use any demo who like it and then you can add how many categories, posts, blocks, etc you want to your page/website. I will recommend you to install the demo without content because if you will install it with content and you will have to edit all of these posts when you will disable that demo, all of your content will be lost. Otherwise, all of your data will be loaded in the database and your data will be safe.
For more information about installing demos, please check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
I hope that you understand me!
Hi Catalin, can you guide me on how i would know if i am using a child theme from the installation, how would i go about doing that starting new installation of the theme?
Thank you
Hi,
1: I’m having a performance problem with my website/template. My site is actually without any cache system, because it doesn’t increase the performance. Yeah, it’s very strange. I’ve tested the site with/without ads (Google Ads) and with/without WP Super Cache ( I used the same settings that you raccommend in your guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ ).
These are the results of the tests with GTmetrix:
– WP Super Cache Disabled: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/gamesquare.it/68XvbBvI
– WP Super Cache Enabled: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/gamesquare.it/4w0X9Lh4
I’ve also tested the website with Google PageSpeed Load, it gave a vote of 72(min)-78(max) in Mobile View and 82(min)-85(max) in PC view.
The caching system gives one more problem to me, it doesn’t work properly with the Mobile Theme plugin and sometimes the cache shows the normal responsive theme instead of the mobile version. That’s why i’m not using it right now.
2: Sometimes when you open my website with Google Chrome (this isn’t a problem of my browser, because this is also happened to all my friends and only using Chrome) you will see this: https://i.gyazo.com/ac00cc46f780f576aca546ab8210f266.jpg
It seems to be caused by a “fail to load” of every CSS/JS files of the template (original and custom).
I don’t know if this is a problem located only on my website or of the template. Have you any idea?
Thank you in advance
Dear Bogdan,
Thanks for the feedback. I have solved the composer issue.
I disagree with something you said. You said: “The messages will keep popping up to make you buy the plugin but you already have the full version.” If there is a full version installed than I should get a new version of Slider Revolution. There is a new version available, that’s the reason I get that message.
According to the plugin I am working with an outdated version: https://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380
Version 5.2.6 was released on 27/28th June 2016
I am requesting TagDiv to solve this.
Thanks in advance.

Hello
Our theme works with adsense no matter the demo you install. A demo only changes the theme style not the functionality. If your ads are approved you can use them on any demo as tit;s the same ad. Only the css changes, not anything ad related.
Thank you!
I did that a few seconds ago, now I have this “Activate Slider Revolution for Premium Benefits. You can Enter an existing licence key or Purchase a licence key. ”
I have uninstalled the plugin and installed the new one.
Hello,
My website’s mobile menu disappears sometimes on a “very fast” scroll up. The error happens in Safari and Chrome browsers. I installed the September 12 update as I thought that would fix it but it did not. This is my first time reporting this issue.
Hello kamoe,
Please ensure that you have right installed the theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. First of all, please remove the old version of the theme and then install it according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ If you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches, purge CDN files and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. Until now we have not encountered with this case, regarding on Wp Super Cache.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks.
Hi Anna,
First of all, please disable the Visual Composer from the Plugins Area and then you will have to Delete permanently from there and then, from the Premium Plugins you will have to Install the Visual Composer which come bundled with the theme.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thankas.
Hi Catalin
Do you have a ‘black theme’ download link? How can I make a clean install without losing all my images, pages and posts?
Hello Toni,
I have investigated your website and I saw that your Balck Version is not fully installed because are missing some CSS rules. My advice is to make a full backup of your data and try to make a new clean install from scratch and install the Black Version on your side and then load your backup there. Would be more causes because of which will not be installed properly the demo. As a quick workaround, you can try to use the following code ->
.td-black .td-main-content-wrap{
background-color: black;
}
but please notice that further, you will have to do some adjustments using CSS for the better look.
Hope this helps!
Thanks.
I have updated to the latest theme and updated all the plugins.
Now I have a problem with tagDiv Mobile Theme, it’s creating “wp booster errror”
td_api_base:: mark_used_on_page: a component with the ID: td_remote_cache is not set.
Site has “WP Super Cache” installed.. if I disable the mobile theme all works fine.
What might be wrong?
Hi Catalin,
I have followed the exact steps and keep on getting this message:
Installing Plugin from uploaded file: js_composer.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /home6/luxypola/public_html/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/
Plugin install failed.
Return to Plugin Installer
Will you please advise?
Thank you,
Anna
Hi tagDiv team,
I would like to know how can I disable, remove or uninstall the mobile theme plugin?
Website: http://www.nutriologaexperta.net
Hi Catalin
Sorry as perhaps I wasn’t clear. I am using the latest version 7.4 and plugins etc. I cannot install the demo theme as it wipes out my whole website whether I check include or not include content. I have to get my host to install a backup twice!
I have managed to create the black header etc but all I need to do now is to have the pages and posts with black (dark background) How do I do this or can I simply add some custom css? If I do this what do I add?
My site is http://www.funeventsasia.com
Hello Glance,
Please try to update the theme to the latest version of it (Newspaper 7.4). Also, if you are using some untested plugins, please try to disable all of them and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. I have checked your console and you have an error which might appear from these. Clear all your caches, purge CDN files and test it again.
Thanks for your message and let us know how it goes!
Hello,
You should delete the demo content as it will get removed when switching demos. You can simply uninstall the demo and install it again without content so you only get the style of the demo, not the dummy data: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Thank you!
