This all worked fine, until I installed and activated the tag-div speedbooster plugin.
After activating this plugin, the fix doesn’t appear.
Note: I applied the above fix on the ADVANCED CSS part for all the orientations except of mobile. That is desktop, tablet portrait, tablet landscape
If I disable the speedbooster plugin, the fix for the extra height goes back to normal and appears as it should.
Any advice please?

Hi
Strange, I installed the Social Counter 2.9 and I have the same problem with the activition of the plugin…

Any idea?
Thx

Hi,
First please make a backup to your current theme installation if you update so in case something goes wrong you can revert back to it. Major change was in version 3.7 so this isn’t affect you.
Please follow our guide to update and use ftp method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme/ also please update plugins that come with the theme’s files-you can find them in /plugins folder. Also you will have to update the child theme to the current version.
You can take look here and you will find all changes till current version: http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 or you can find update log file in the theme’s files that you downloaded from themeforest – http://screencast.com/t/d0AsC4FWlQe4
Thanks!
You might check your hosting provider to see if there are any special requirements such as custom permissions.
You can see your “version” by going to the “dashboard” in WP, and/or going to the second menu item on left of WP … “updates” (drop down under “dashboard”) — it will tell you if you need to update or not.
Normally to update automatically, you will need to either
a) enter in your FTP password and IP (common when you installed it yourself)
b) click update – if the program was installed by hosting panel
if (b) applies to you an it won’t work, you might need to put in support ticket with your host.
Latest version of WordPress is 4.2.1 — most host panels will auto-update it if the host panel installed it in first place (e.g., if you didn’t manually install it yourself).

Send an email at contact@tagdiv.com with an request for it and we’ll send it to you. Please also include a link to this topic so we can know who you are.
To update the theme please follow the institutions provided in the guide I’ve pasted below and use the FTP method to overwrite the theme files.

Hi there!!
We aré using the Newspaper Theme (www.pacmac.es) and we have received a few days ago an email announcing the new theme update.
Before we do it we would like to know if that update is going to respect our current plugins and theme configuration.
It is the first time we have received an update outside of the WordPress updating tab and we don’t wanna screw our site.
Which one is the best way to do the update?? Via FTP or the WordPress installation.
Thanks
Hi Alin
Ok, where can I find now the 2.9 version of Social Counter? Can you help me?
And tell me, you have some documentation about how to update the theme? Or I just have to uninstall the old and install the new version?
Thank You
RD
Hello,
I just installed the newspaper theme on my blog, xtremecanadian.com. It’s a great theme, but I can’t seem to get rid of a strange formatting issue – just under the main preview area (currently says ‘Dean Potter Talks ‘When Dogs Fly’, and BEFORE ‘Latest Articles’), there is a large gap in the formatting, which currently says ‘Related Posts (None)’. I can’t seem to get rid of that text and close that white space.
This started yesterday, when I had an adsense ad running in the right sidebar. The white space opened up and put an ad where ‘Related Posts’ is right now.
I just want to get rid of that awkward space/formatting issue!
Would really appreciate feedback on how to resolve this!
Thanks
Steve
Note to all – this week is an important time not to neglect doing due diligence in WordPress updates — checking both core WP version, ALL your plugins for new versions or that they are secure — and doing the updates.
A wide variety of major security issues have come to light, which you NEED TO ADDRESS to keep your site secure.
The black hats will start trolling sites for vulnerable WordPress installs, particularly those with disclosure of your WP version number in your head and/or version numbers of exploitable apps.
Take this seriously.
Hi,
You mean this: http://screencast.com/t/8caEQlFo3
For this you just need to install the buddypress plugin and using the default settings your user info will display.
Thanks
Hi,
Thanks Chris S!
@feelsoo You will need to install the plugin like Christopher suggested as it is not a part of the theme files(plugins).
Thanks!
I guess the theme panel stoped to work since last update. I’m not really sure cos’ Its been like a month since last time I tried to change a setting.
Anyways, the links of the left menu dont work after the Category settings.
I have this error message below the “per categoy settings”.
Per category settings
td_api_base: td_category_walker_panel is not set. A component with the id td_category_walker_panel is missing. This can be due to an older plugin.
/home/animarte/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/td_wp_booster_functions.php
Missing parameter: 'file'
/home/animarte/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php
Fatal error: Class 'td_category_walker_panel' not found in /home/animarte/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/wp-admin/panel/views/td_panel_categories.php on line 157
After that, any other option in the menu doesnt load.
I’ve already tried to update all the plugins and also deactivating them all, even reinstall the theme, but nothing seems to work.
Hi,
We did not tested the plugin with our theme. Could you provide a link to this plugin(if is a free plugin)?
Also if this plugin use shortcodes you can add it in post template and replace theme’s social share – http://screencast.com/t/VP5I8cUeC
On custom modifications we can provide some guidance but we cannot provide full solutions, if you have many modifications I suggest that you look for a developer to make them for you.
Please make a backup of your current theme installation before an update. If you have custom modification to the files you will need to re-add them as when you update the theme these files will be overwritten. The styling options you’ve set in the WordPress Theme Customize or in the Theme Panel – those options should not be affected by updating your theme.
Thanks!

Hi,
You can import video stack from Theme Panel – https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-the-demo-data/
Add your articles and set the featured video – http://screencast.com/t/Bij5kBPec and create your homepage using pagebuilder
Please provide more details if this is not what you mean and also follow also our documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-documentation/
Thanks!
I am also with this problem. I have more options to include the Grid Elements modules. I opened a call with the author of the plugin and he wrote:
The issue is because there is an inbuilt version of Visual Composer (or the related code) present in your theme which is overriding the standalone plugin version and hence causing the issue. You will have to get rid of it. I would advise you to do so with the help of theme author, otherwise you might loose the extra elements added by him. Once this is done, you can install the standalone plugin and it will work fine. Kindly check.
Thank you,
I am in danger of having a web site turned off by my hosting company (Inmotion hosting) for excessive resource usage caused by constant hits to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php . We have also entered code into the https file to restrict use of the Admin page page to only our IP address as follows:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} ^(.*)?wp-admin.*$
RewriteCond %{REMOTE_ADDR} !^99\.232\.52\.92$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ – [R=403,L]

The site at http://www.breedingnews.com is the only site of several WordPress sites that we own which is suffering from this, and is the only one using the Newsmagtheme. I have already installed the Heartbeat control plugin but this is having little if any effect.
We have the following plugins running:
Adrotate
Envato WordPress Toolkit
Gravity Forms
Gravity Forms PGP encryption
Heartbeat Control
s2Member Framework
tagDiv Social counter
W3 Total cache
Wordpress HTTPS
WP Bakery Visual composer
Any help or ideas really appreciated
I’m on version 4.6.1, what is the proper upgrade path to 4.6.3? Can I just install the files found in the “patch_4.6.2_4.6.3” folder? Or do I have to upgrade from 4.6.1 to 4.6.2 and then to 4.6.3?
Also, looking at the files changed from 4.6.1 to 4.6.2 (http://tagdiv.com/td_deploy/Newspaper/changed_files_4.6.1_4.6.2.html), can I just upload those files only to upgrade to 4.6.2 and then use the “patch” files found in the 4.6.3 download?
same problem. i make clean install but still get white page and very high server load.

Try fresh install of theme and visual composer, no child theme, all plugins off except visual composer, clear caching, at least 128mb for php.

Hi,
I’ve activated Easy social sharing plugin, however, it doesn’t display as configured, it doesn’t appear at all actually.
I’ve searched your topics and found out that i have to do some manual work to get it work, can you please reply with exact steps to do that, because i don’t want to cause damages to my website and i’m not an expert to fix anything.
Also, i used to delete the theme and upload it again to install theme updates, will my changes disappear and i need to re-do the same step or there’s something i can do to keep my changes after updating the theme?
Thanks,
