Upgraded from 7.4 to 8.
Tried out two of the demos, but what am i missing? I watched the video, read the docs, but all it changed (visually at least) was colours, menus and fonts. how do i get the actual page layouts complete with all the blocks used in the demo? No additional pages have been created and it hasn’t applied any of that layout to my own pages, just made them corrupt and look ridiculous.
Uninstalling hasn’t worked at all well, it is all over the shop and even after a few hours tweaking it still looks like an amateurish development of a freeby theme.
I’ve had to put it in maintenance mode so hoping for some quick answers.

Sorry for this inconvenient but I think that you have not correctly installed the Demo. First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest theme version installed via FTP way and then, try to import the demo with content in your case according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/

I believe this is a huge misunderstanding. There are two composers that are included in the theme package, and you can use each one to create your website

You do not need to buy the Visual composer plugin, simply install it and use it

However you should consider using the newly introduced tagDiv composer, future updates will include more features exclusively for this page editor

Are the demos supposed to have NO pictures in the folder?
How can I see if my package is incomplete, same error as another user, when installing a demo, the picture, thumbnails and many other things are missing….
So if there should be pictures inside, then it is clear I received an incomplete version of the theme yesterday from Envato Market.

That could also be related to those requirements. I have tested the theme export/import and it is working properly

After you manage to configure them as recommended, then everything should work. There should be no problem installing a demo, or using the export/import feature.

When installing the demo content, 4 errors popped up during the installation. Afterwards, when browsing the site, icons and fonts are missing, it looks terrible. Not sure what might have went wrong?

This is most likely related to the theme system status. The server and WordPress parameters mentioned in this guide need to be as recommended for the best functionality of the theme

It is a requirement of the theme. There are functions require those parameters as specified. Installing demos is one of them.
If you cannot edit the files, there has to be someone from the hosting that should have access and can help you.

Hello. I purchased your theme and I tried to install a demo (only settings) when I got this error:

The theme doesn’t install the settings so I tried with different demos and I didn’t get this message, but it wouldn’t work anyway.
I tried to start a page from scratch, but the “Edit with TD Composer” link at the top of the screen doesn’t appear. After a few times with installing demos I finally got acces to the TD Composer, so I tried again to install a demo (only settings): all the previous settings disappeared (and didn’t return when I unistalled) and so did the “Edit with TD Composer” link.
I had asked on the forum about this issue and you told me to clear the cache and deactivate all my plugins. I did, but it didn’t solve the problem.
On the System Status page I have a yellow mark on max_execution_time, it says:
30 – the execution time should be bigger than 60 if you plan to use the demos. To see how you can change this please check our guide here.
I don’t have access to wp_config since I don’t have my own domain but a free hosting. What can I do?
This isn’t the first time I purchased a theme, but it’s the first I have problem with. The others worked just fine even if I only have a blog on a free hosting site.
I hope we can find a solution because I really like your theme and I was looking forward to use it on my blog.

Thanks for the response, but that video doesn’t show anything about installing via FTP, just installing the demos which I have been testing.
I did the install inside WordPress using the Appearance –> Themes –> Add New and from the newspaper.zip folder. Then, installed a demo theme.
The only single place that “Edit with TD Composer” appears, is on the home page. Nowhere else and only them is some demos not all of them.
Nowhere have I ever seen the “Edit with TD Composer” link on a category, which is shown is some of the promotional videos.
I have the latest install, as it was only bought a week ago.

As a quick update. It came either with install of theme, or installing the lifestyle demo (I did with no content).

I found it in the admin:
wp-admin > newspaper > theme panel > background > mobile-menu / search background. (also in the sign in / join section below it)
background image has “http://192.168.0.194/wp_011_lifestyle/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/47.jpg”
I removed and all is well.
I just purchased the newsmag template and after doing an installation and activation I am not available to install a demo. I click the “Install” button and nothing happens!

The theme will not delete any content you made for you website. If you have installed a demo before, uninstalling it will remove only the demo content that was imported. Your posts are stored in the database, they will not be removed

Maybe this is all a misunderstanding. If you want to have the exact same design and layout as the demo, you have to install it in the theme panel

From what I can see the demo style is not present on your website.
When you install a demo, the system will import all the theme panel settings and the custom style including the header style. The header style used is style 5 with some modifications through CSS and the theme panel.
This customized header style cannot be selected in theme panel, the demo needs to be installed in order to achieve that result.
Please remove the code my colleague provided, and simply install the demo.

If you choose to install the demo with content, this will import dummy posts, categories, menus etc. This happens so you can get an idea about how the website will look. You will have to replace (not edit) the dummy content with you own.
You can choose to install the demo without content as well. Then it will only import theme panel settings and the demo’s custom style. You can set your own menus, and create the homepage like the demo and the style will apply to those elements

After installing the Newspaper theme I downloaded the “Black” demo site with content. I recently removed the demo site after customization. I’ve noticed that the load time for the site is extremely long ~60 seconds due to the file “4.jpg” failing to load with the initiator as “onloadwff.js”. I tried dropping in a blank 4.jpg in the correct directory as a quickfix but it still fails. Any idea how to fix this?

i am new here, but despite using the search engine, I have not found a soloution to my problem. This is rather a fairly simple matter, so it was probably discussed here, but somehow I can’t find the right topic.
After installing the demo version of the template, I changed the layout of the news on the main page and since then the news in the two boxes are duplicated with each other.
For example – this same news in two boxes on my homepage:
How can I solve it? On home page I would like to have 3 big news and 7 small ones.
I would like the news in blocks 23 and 12 above to not duplicate itself.
