By seeing the demo speed I purchased this theme but after installing, I am unable to get the speed. Tried to solve using methods discussed in this forum but still my page speed is “RED”
Thanks for replying, but whatever header style i choose, it still be a boxed version of a website. I tried installing default demo & after that the website becomes fullwidth (wide layout) but again after uninstall of demo it goes back to boxed version,
By fullwidth i mean, topbar, header menu & footer background reaching both ends of the website completely i.e 100% width.
I don’t know whats wrong?
Is there any setting where i have to select from boxed, wide layouts?

I had bought the theme 1 week ago and put it online some days ago ( http://www.storypickers.com )
I installed the theme excatly as it is in the demo (with their content inside) and made some modification
like menus, category, new pages, add new posts and these stuff.
Now, i have decided to install the child theme (who already it is in the theme folder) butt i have done to much modification to the currect theme and made like 20 new posts.
– I’m wondering if i install the child theme will my customizations and posts dissapear?
– Will my sitemap, meta tag and all the seo i had done delete it?
Please, answear these two questions and please give me the instructions how to install the child theme?

If you just need to setup the homepage, use the codes and guidance Alin given you on the forum and build the page using the page builder of the Visual Composer plugin. If you’re still not familiar with the theme and how to sue it I suggest you setup a testing wp install then import theme’s demo and using theme’s docs go trough its settings. Would help you in your site’s development. Hi,
Installing the Newspaper theme this doesn’t mean that it will automatically change the old shortcodes for you homepage. You will have to create a new page using the Visual Composer pagebuilder, set the page template.. – https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ also a video tutorial that may help – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgWqozuqmJk then set it as frontpage. You don’t have to be a developer to do this, just to have some basic WordPress knowledge and also we will answer for the theme related issues. Please note that if you install the demo without content it will import only some fonts, colors… it will not add new pages, posts, categories and also it will not change the frontpage.
Also if you want to keep your site running, you can install the theme on a subdomain to customize it. You can find more information on the subject here: http://www.passiveincomereality.com/how-to-create-a-sub-domain-in-wordpress/ You can also find a plugin for maintenance. Something like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-maintenance-mode/

need help with an error i have please – here’s my situation:
after installing demo content, whenever rolling over any images, the cursor turned into a finger pointer and the imaged popped up in lightbox when clicked.
undesirable.
so i installed “Remove Image Links” plugin:

this seemed to properly correct this problem for all images – no finger pointer any more. i assumed images would also now not be clickable any more.
but…
even though no more finger pointer, images do something weird now – when clicked, a lightbox with left and right arrows appears and says “The image #1 could not be loaded.”
how to disable this weird feature so images are just images with no behaviors? i’ve searched for an hour but am lost.
please help.

Let me start by thanking you for creating such an amazing, and completely stunning theme. Your work is just out of this world, which is why so many people love it!
I decided to update my website, which is an online magazine, and to install Newspaper 6. Thing is, I have over 700 posts and 20 categories on the website, and really don’t know where to start. Is there any specific procedure I should follow to ensure a smooth transition? Especially that I really want to use the standard demo for my website.
Any tips or tutorial to walk me through?

I get the following error message when viewing the site after a demo has been installed:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_column_offset_class_merge() in /home/recyclingindustr/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/vc_templates/vc_column_old.php on line 22
Can you please help to solve this problem.
It may be temporary problem with download server being overloaded. Try again later. And yes, you can edit the demos once installed.
Generally you will want to make sure you do *NOT* included all content from demo as this will mess with your existing content. You’re basically just wanted to get the “layout style” and not all the dummy content unless you have a blank website.

We’re sorry to hear that you had issue with our theme. We make a lot of tests on each update before releasing it, unfortunately it’s impossible to replicate all conditions. There are many servers and each come with different settings.
On most cases the layout issues are caused by cache or cdn, it may still deliver an old version for some of the theme files(ex. style.css). The demos download a few images from our servers, this process should run smooth but in some rare cases the connection it too slow and results in a connection timeout. Try to install it again or try installing another demo, see if there’s a difference in behavior. Let me know how it goes.

It seems like with every update your theme becomes even more terrible and buggy. Last time also during update I had to clean install whole site again due to lots of fatal errors. This time again! This time the problem was due to conflicting CSS classes of Visual Composer and main theme that made theme layout distorted. So I again reinstalled complete theme package, now when installing demo content, showing up this: http://screencast.com/t/3JJsjHrAhqn

My permalink structure in fine and .htaccess file is also on 644 permission.

Please provide more details about your issue, what do you mean it doesn’t have the same look?
Installing the demo with content will import some pages, articles, menus, fonts… Also you can install it without the content so it will import only fonts, colors… no predefined content.

First of all, congrets with launching the new theme!
I’ve bought Newspaper 4 a while ago and now we installed Newspaper 6. After installing Newspaper 6 we installed the fashion demo theme, the problem now is that on my own website all kind of content of the Fashion demo theme is placed, combined with my own content. Obviously I only need my own content. How can I install the Fashion Demo Theme, without the demo content. Thank you very much for your quick reply!

You can uninstall the demo and all articles,images, settings.. added will be removed and your settings will be on default, you will have to set menus(your menu will not be deleted, just you need to select them again), logo..
Also you can install a demo stack without the content – http://screencast.com/t/qa3Eyba3ch79 so it will be imported only fonts, colors used in that style.

Not sure what you mean and which of predefined styles you have installed. Please note that installing the demo stack(without content) it will import only settings like fonts, colors, no images to look the same like on demo stack. Did you installed a stack and did not changed the fonts, colors..?

This error appears from Visual Composer plugin, we have also added a ticket to the plugin support and we hope to be fixed in the next update.
About the blank pages you should not have this issue as those pages are automatically added when the demo is installed. Did you get any errors when you have installed the demo? I purchased Newspaper 6 and I want to use the TECH version. The only problem is that i cant install none of the demos. The theme is activated. When i click INSTALL it loads about 30% and freezes there. After 10 minutes i get an error “Ajax error. Could not connect to server”. Im guessing that it could not connect to the server where is the demo. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks for your response. I was finally able to fix the issue and this happened due to misconfiguration from my hosting provider company. But now I got another issue. After installing demo I saw everything was perfect except the top slider. There is a big white space generated on the right side of the slider and 2 posts gone below the slider which was supposed to be in 4 box grid. Here’s my website to check the issue. Please give me a solution for this issue to launch my site finally.

I just updated my website with newspaper 6 and I really love the new demo created by the theme update. But while I was trying to install the demo data I get an Ajax error and after reinstalling everything didn’t solved the issue. Here’s the message I’m getting:

Please check this guide to update to version 6 of the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/. If you update from version 4 of the theme you also have to run the script, it will import old settings from database and it will change the shortcodes(it is specified in the docs) – http://screencast.com/t/eZxxuqvsTir Unfortunately you will have to re-add widgets on your sidebars, some of them may not be imported or don’t exist anymore.
