Hi

The theme it’s tested and mobile menu works fine. It can be seen on our demo and on any other site which uses our theme. Also I’ve noticed that you made some changes in theme’s css file: http://screencast.com/t/pPJoGvLQA By default mobile menu have a css property which set a position -80% left for it when it’s hidden. You can see on the screen that on your site it’s -80% right. These changes influence the mobile menu from your site. I already mentioned in my previous replies that if you make any custom modifications you always have to check how they affect theme’s functionality.

Thanks!

Hi

1. The posts are displayed like her: http://www.screencast.com/t/00FGXlRy1LS because of rtl style. I’ve mentioned in my previous replies that the theme does not have support for rtl. You will have to adapt it’s style to rtl in order to have a good looking layout for the site.

2. A clean install means that you don’t touch theme’s code at all. It also means that you don’t use any custom css, js or any untested plugin. Make sure you do a clean install staring from latest wp version to latest theme’s version then test the mobile menu again. Try this on a new sub-domain or on your local computer without any custom code.

Thanks!

Hello, I’m absolutely loving the mobile theme but I would like to ask for help with a couple of things:

1. The grid is not showing up on my homepage – it is showing up and looking great on the category pages.

2. Is it possible to either remove the tags that appear on the category pages, or to pick different tags? Unfortunately I have a lot of tags (probably more than I should), and the ones that are appearing are mostly irrelevant.

3. Is it possible to not have the gradient on the mobile menu? The gradient is making it impossible to see the background photo (tried switching to a lighter gradient but it didn’t help).

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your response.

I understand that there is a on going issue because from the other posts i have read that
the reason the mobile menu is showing on desktop version is of a old style.css file from previous build.
how do i update the file to new build?.

here is the on going issue post

Thanks for the reply Catalin, I’ll certainly look into fixing all you’ve outlined above. Can you also let me know in regards to the main demo found here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ is the mobile theme plugin activated there? If it is, How are you guys still able to have a customized homepage on mobile phones while using the mobile theme? When I checked from my phone it looks completely customized, but the menu appears to be the new mobile menu. So it the mobile theme is activated there as well, or just the new mobile menu in use?

Hi,
This is what I’m trying to say: there are no more social icons on mobile. They are all inside the menu. Maybe you had the old modification that foprces the socialicons to display on to pof the menu from newspaper 6. The css code we provided here for most people that requested mobile social icons. Please provide a link to your site so I can inspect it and see if this can be done through css.
Thank you!

Hello themusic20202,

I do not exactly understand what you want to achieve with this code. Please provide more details about this case so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.
If you want to get rid the main menu for mobile, please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td-mobile-content {
display:none;
}

The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/dNiz3NQpHa

Thanks.

Hi support,
When using Newspaper 7.01 with the latest version of Internet Explorer 11 (on Windows 10) I’m getting a very strange visual error. My site isn’t live yet, so I’ve created a small video for you to see for yourselves (linked below).

http://galacticbrain.com/Internet-explorer-newspaper-problem.mp4

Basically, every time the page loads, it appears that the mobile menu is trying to open – and it flashes across the header section, travelling right to left. Happens on every page load. Doesn’t matter what page is opened.

I’ve tried uninstalling all plugins (leaving only the ones you recommend) but this hasn’t fixed it. I’ve also removed any custom CSS, cleared caches, etc., all without success. I’m not running the mobile theme, just your inbuilt responsive menu in version 7. I also don’t use Visual Composer, so I know that’s not the cause. The site works fine on all other browsers.

Have you seen anything like this before in IE? Any suggestions? Is there any way I can override the mobile menu loading initially? If you think this is the cause? Have been trying to fix for awhile now and am completely stumped!

Any help appreciated. I can send you admin access if you need a closer look. I’m hoping it’s something you’ve seen before.

Thanks,
John

Bogdan,

So, we have implemented a temporary fix – We have added a custom CSS to the theme panel which hides the mobile menu on the desktop site.

This is the code we added:

#td-mobile-nav, .td-search-wrap-mob, .td-visual-hidden {display : none;}

1st part hides the mobile navigation menu, 2nd part hides the mobile search box. and the 3rd part hides the text that is printed behind our logo.

The good news is the mobile version of the site is working very well, but unfortunately, the desktop version is distorted.

Now: I am going to implement the process you described and disable plugins and test it out. This will essentially break our site as some plugins are vital to the working, so we will do so in Maintenance mode and hope this doesn’t take too long as it will lead to traffic loss.

Hopefully, the CSS above will give you an idea where the mobile menu is coming from and help you get to the root of the issue.

If there is anything else you need, please let me know so that we can solve this problem soon.

Thank you.

Hi,

1) The mobile menu problem is generaly caused by the old style.css from newspaper 6 being cached and served on the site from the cache. That causes the layout to break so clearing caches will eliminate caching issues.
On your site you no longer have the overlaping mobile menu: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-aston-villa-beat-liverpool-to-join-arsenal-in-the-fa-cup-final/

2) Please disable all plugins except visual composer and activate the mobile theme without other plugins. Some plugins can cause conflicts with our mobile theme.

Let us know how it goes.
Thanks.

Hi guys, have problems with following menu settings:

Header / Style
1. Newspaper Version 7.0.1 (newest)
2. Header Style (Style 7)
3. Mega Menu Prellader (Preload all)
4. Sticky Menu (Alyways Sticky, stays at the top of the page)
5. Logo on Sticky Menu (Header Logo – show the header logo)
6. Logo for Mobile (Free, see Header Style 7)

Theme Colors > Mobile Menu/Mobil Search
1. Menu Bar – Background Color (#ffffff)
2. Menu Bar – Icons Coro (#000000)
3. Background Gradient Color (#ffffff | #ffffff)
4. Text / Icons Color (#000000)
5. Active / Hover Text Color (#48600)
6. Buttons Background / Text Color (#48600 | #ffffff)

The Effect

1. Chrome Mobil: If I scroll down > than up to the top > and pull, than the logo is viewing half or I´ll see a black background, sometimes the bug destroy complete the position of the logo and of the next pages and posts
2. Safari mobil: A bit similar, but if I pull the logo more times down, than the logo goes in the right position. Next pages or posts are not affected
3. Firefox Mobil: No Problems!
4. Opera Coast Mobil: No Problems

* I don´t use the new mobile plugin > because it is still limited in function.

Ok, many thanks in advance for supporting,
Manfred

Hello kanstan,

I have checked your website again and I saw that your mobile menu is working fine. Also, I have noticed that you have the 6.7.2 version of Newspaper and above you have said that the problem happens in the latest version. Please try to switch the theme to the latest version and provide again your website URL so I can inspect it closer.

Hello Marto,

1) Please notice that our new mobile theme do not support the Visual Composer and it only displays the Big Grid -> your desired text -> and the latest articles features. For more information about mobile theme, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
2) For more information about page level ads implementation, please check this topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/page-level-ads-problems/
3) Please notice that the mobile theme does not support adding the widgets. This was made to be very fast and clean. All information about this feature you will find in the above documentation. If you want to have widgets, you will have to use the normal mobile theme (responsive mode).
4) If you want to hide the back to the top button, you have to use a bit of CSS code to do it. Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Cusotm CSS area.

The code is ->

@media (max-width:767px){
.td-scroll-up-visible {
display:none;
}
}

5)If you want to show the footer menu, you have to change them from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/3QDthMdzkA
6)Please try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td-mobile-footer-wrap {
display:none;
}

7)Unfortunately, our theme does not have such an option for mobile font menu. If you want to change the font from the mobile menu, you can only do using a bit of CSS. For example, you can use the following code ->

.td-mobile-content{
font-family:arial;
}

Please notice that the font will have to be loaded from the Theme panel->Theme fonts, otherwise, the font will not be loaded. If your custom font is not loaded in our theme, you have to load them using ‘@font-face’ For more references in this regard, please consult here ->>
https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/custom-font-issue/

8)I suppose that you are referring to the post view count for each post page. If you want to hide/remove it, please notice that you can do that from Theme panel->Post Settings, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/gBgk740e If is not what you mean, please provide more details.

9)As you can see, for the mobile theme, you cannot display the blocks for your sidebar. For more information about sidebar, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/

10)Please notice that the mobile theme has been designed to be very basic/simple and clear just to be very fast. Yes, the modal image was removed because influence the speed optimization and that was the decision of our developers. Also, you cannot turn it on because you do not have any option to enable it.
So, if you are unhappy with the new mobile theme behaviour, you simply disable the Mobile theme plugin and the theme will be switched to the normal mobile responsive.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi,
If you up[date to newspaper 7, you will see that the style is totally different: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/#
We made significant improvements to the mobile menu so the social icons are now inside the menu itself as well as the login widget.
Thanks.
