Hello,
1)Te mobile theme plugin has compatibility problems with other plugins especially when activating it. Please disable all other plugins first and then install the mobile theme without other untested plugins.
2) Page speed needs the proper optimization made. It will not come automatically. Please follow this guide carefully: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
3) Please try to use as little plugins as possible. You seem top be using many. Please follow this topic for speedbooster information: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tinymce-advanced-and-other-various-disabling-speed-boster/
Thank you!
Sorted it out! I just switched off the Jetpack mobile theme, and it works!
All these plugins can be really annoying 😀
When viewing thenerdystudent.com over mobile, I get this weird blue theme: https://gyazo.com/0d49cff46366f657ea38ac65fb0d2c57
The site uses Newspaper theme on desktop, but not on mobile. Its using the Jetpack mobile theme. How can I change this?
Thanks
“The mobile theme path couldn’t be set. Please check if you already have another mobile theme plugin active and disable it (ex. Jetpack Mobile Theme or similar). If you use a cache plugin clear it before checking the results.”
This is all that displays on my site with the mobile plugin installed on a mobile phone – desktop version displays normally. I do not have another mobile plugin active or have Jetpack. I am on wpengine so I do not have a cache plugin either. I have struggled to get this to work on my site since inception.
I have also struggled with slow page speed scores. I have deleted quite a few plugins. I even rebuilt all of my pages and removed Visual Composer using the tag Div composer. All of that work I put in increased page speed and yslow by 2 points – really disappointed with that.
I have also never been able to get the speed booster plugin to work. It has a conflict with every plugin. I will delete the offending plugin and it will display another one.
I disabled the plugin for now, but if anyone has any suggestions to how I can get the mobile theme working I would really appreciate it.

Hi,
The mobile theme has nothing to do with the demo you have installed. The mobile theme has it’s own style and design. There is no option to change the general background color to black (or any other color in fact) in the mobile theme, at the moment.
The only color changing options are the ones in the theme panel, mobile theme section

If you would like to change the default way that the mobile theme displays, please provide a link to your website and details about what exactly you want to change and how. I will try to give you a solution, if possible.
Thanks
Please tell me it isn´t so.
I have just upgraded to 8 from 7.something.
Main aim – to get the black theme.
Just had a hellish weekend dealing with the fallout, and now I discover the mobile theme, i.e. that used by over 50% of our readers, remains in white.
I totally get that the mobile theme is all about speed, but black isn´t any slower than white is it? Usually faster if anything. Seriously, surely you understand that anybody wanting the black theme wants it for reasons of style and aesthetics? Surely if black wasn´t available you´d slap a big warning over the black theme, along the lines of ´we´ll warn you now that it isn´t compatible with the mobile theme so don´t waste a weekend masking everything look uber cool in black only to find out it isn´t, infact it will look a lot worse than it did before you started, because it has been designed for black but will be displayed on white. ´Surely you´d say that?
Tell me it isn´t so, but as i´ve a horrible feeling you won´t be able to, point me in the right direction of getting the mobile theme compat with the desktop. i assume there is some css in the default desktop demo that flips everything to make it the black version of the default demo.
(please don´t say carry on using the desktop version for mobiles if you don´t like its features)
thanks catlin. i actually took the plunge and upgraded to 8. for info before switching i had resolved the tag div slider issue – which was js related. having upgraded to 8 the mobile theme is still appearing on tablet though. i can´t see any settings to change this, but have read on other posts that the mobile theme is designed for phone size screens only, the desktop site should appear on tablet?
Hello , I´ve just installed and set the mobile theme for all of my pages, all of them looks great but the homepage. It´s still showing the “normal” version. I don´t know how to convert my homepage into the mobile theme version. I´d like to set the predefined page template.
Thanks!
Please disable the mobile theme plugin from the plugins section of wordpress: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks.
Hello,
The mobile theme uses a different menu than the desktop theme. Please set a menu to your mobile site using the menus section of wordpress under location settings.
Thanks
Hello,
Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks.
Hi,
That happens when you set the RTL direction on your website, when using the theme. This is not supported by the theme, and problems can happen. Please note that some of the theme elements and classes may not work properly in this situation, as they are directly dependent on their positioning. The mobile menu is one of those elements that do not work as intended under those circumstances.
Please correct me if I misunderstand.
Thanks
Hi,
It would be very difficult to remove the change that occurs when the website is displayed on mobile. That is the way the theme is designed. When on mobile it will display the mobile menu version. This is meant as a feature, and there is no way of modifying the theme in this regard.
Thanks
I’m not using plugin for mobile version, and I’m active WP Cache, if this can help you… :/
I’m trying theme show me the menú in mobile version, but don’t work. I think all its ok :/
The mobile responsive theme is not loading correctly. The content is lined properly on the phone. But the entire screen can be swiped away and you look at a blank background. The content doesn’t sit centered on the screen. Also, the header stretched in and out. http://imgur.com/5rA5p5t
There is no banner ad installed on mobile so I’m not sure what the issue is.
where can i find mobile plugin of tagdiv
i am using newspaper 8 theme
Hi,

Hello,
When I place the adsense text link unit on content, this theme doesn’t display the ad properly. Because same code is working fine on my other site (newspaper theme) properly. Issue is that text of ad is srinking in blocks as well showing only 2 boxes on desktop and only 1 one mobile view.

Please let me suggest.

I have only a few (three) categories on one of my websites. As of the default theme behavoir these categories gets pushed in to the regular mobile menu once the site is displayed on a mobile device.
I have been playing around with the css to try and make the changes to the mobile menu never happen when I reduce the browser window in size. However I haven´t been succecfull.
Is there any way to do this? Disable the apparence/changes that are made to the Main menu (not the Top Menu) when a site is shown on mobile?
Hi,
Please do not post sensitive login information here on the forum, this is a public topic for everyone to see. I have edited your post, and removed them. As a solution to your problem, please enter this code in Theme panel->Custom Css
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Zyu5OSOJ
It should make the image more responsive, and display better on mobile devices.
.td-pb-span12 .vc_single_image a {
background-size: contain;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
Thanks
Thanks Simion,
Home Page author hide problem is solved
i understand your concern regarding mobile theme responsive issue. default theme is works fine in mobile but the main problem is that when i checked with google page speed test, result is near about 40-52/100 for mobile while when i upload the custom provided mobile theme then the result will be 70+/100. so how can it will be increased with default theme.
Please suggest what to do Next.
Thanks again
Hi,
The author name can be disable in general for all the blocks and grids
– https://www.screencast.com/t/DzTB9fWAI
If you would like to hide it just for that specific big grid, you can use a code like this for example. It will remove the author name just for the grid in question
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7ocWvIT2
The code must be entered in Theme panel->Custom Css
.td_module_mx21 .td-post-author-name {
display: none;
}
Please note that them theme is fully responsive and there should be no problems for mobile devices. The theme package even includes the optional mobile theme plugin. More about the mobile theme here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
