Hello Niclas!

The page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique in this regard. External and internal factors can be important for your page speed.
External factors include server speed, whether you are using CDN, and the external resources loaded by your website, such as ads, fonts, and tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics, Hotjar, and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, whether you are using mobile-optimized layouts, console errors, whether you are using the Standard Pack plugin, and whether you are using a PRO demo or a standard one.
We optimized the theme but not the demo content. We did not find it necessary because our clients don’t use the data from our demos, only the design that can be easily improved to the new rules of the page speed tools. If you do not use some plugins for optimization, you cannot fix it from any theme.
You can get an excellent score with any demo you use: https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
Check this topic as well: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
Please note that page speed is not covered by the support team: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/

Thank you for understanding!

I have created a custom template for my WordPress website by writing the code directly via FTP. The page displays correctly on desktop, but on mobile, it does not show my template. Instead, I see a message like “No mobile content – Edit mobile content.”

I have checked my template files, but I’m not sure what’s causing this issue. Could this be related to responsive design, caching, or something else? Any insights would be appreciated!

Not at all, the problem is still there.

You only need to look at mobile, Safari and Chrome. It’s on mobile that it doesn’t display properly.

On desktop it’s OK.

check : https://postimg.cc/k6nDF4FF

the header is missing, and the css isn’t loading correctly.

I deleted the original icon and wording originally, they just keep re-appearing. But I see now – once I clicked the mobile-size screen options, it was evident they were still there and intermittently loading.

I tried deleting the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, but it leaves the mobile version with an unbranded logo (just text) that I could not figure out how to edit, and also erased the content in my hamburger menu on the mobile end.

Thanks for your help!

Hello!

You should edit the homepage with the tagdiv Composer, click on the logo and remove those text and image: https://app.screencast.com/GzlhC6XKWygKT
You can also delete the element and add another header logo. There is a recycle bin basket for every element: https://www.screencast.com/t/wFYdqgpo6pT
I recommend you uninstall the Mobile theme and AMP plugin.

Thank you!

Thank you Bettina

There’s something I can’t explain. I have an article that displays well on mobile (this one: https://saintmalowithlove.com/love-room-saint-malo-lescapade-parfaite-pour-votre-week-end-en-amoureux/)

and the other articles display badly on mobile, for example this one: https://saintmalowithlove.com/marche-de-noel-saint-malo/

and as a result the 2 articles have the same template, but are not displayed in the same way on mobile (safari or chrome, it’s the same)

But they have the same configuration.

What settings could explain this please? Thank you!

Hello!

We have 3 options available for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. You can see your mobile version there and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.

the homepage on mobile displays fine (Safari and Chrome), but if you open an article (https://saintmalowithlove.com/marche-de-noel-saint-malo/), the CSS is no longer supported and the article is all broken.
the header and footer are not displayed. the page layout is broken.

Hi Bettina,

I’ve removed all the plugins, but unfortunately that doesn’t fix the problem.

It’s very strange, it’s only on mobile on Safari and Chrome that the problem appears

Site: https://saintmalowithlove.com

I’ve changed my theme and updated the plugins, but nothing solves the problem.

Could this be due to the cloud templates, I can’t choose a theme for mobile, is that normal?

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hello!

I’m not sure what you mean exactly. Do you mean copy content for the mobile pages? https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
More documentation about the cloud templates is here:

If you want, I can take a look, see exactly the issue, and let you know what you can do there. Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide the following:
– admin url and credentials
– more details about the issue

Hello!

It’s linking to the pages, but those pages are created with the tagdiv Composer. This Mobile Editor does not recognize a page builder so the tagDiv Composer shortcodes cannot be rendered. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

Thank you!

The menu of the mobile theme appears but doesn’t link to the pages of the menu (the desktop works fine instead).
What is the problem?

The mobile version of the site is not updating (refreshing) correctly. It always seems to stay the same as if it were “stuck in the cache”, while the desktop version has no problems. Is there any setting in the Newspaper theme to change to “unblock” the mobile version?

I am continuing to have issues getting my logo to replace the template default on mobile devices despite changing the logo under ‘phone viewpoint’. Under HEADING LOGO element, I have changed both the LOGO IMAGE and the LOGO RETINA IMAGE to my logo (sized 272×90). But it will NOT change from the default. See images below…

The image below is the logo I am attempting to put in.

FIRST IMAGE: What the site looks like on a mobile phone

SECOND IMAGE: The settings I have changed…

THIRD IMAGE: The logo header under PHONE VIEWPOINT in the Cloud editor.

Two things I can think of that may be preventing this from displaying properly? First of all, I am in the wrong place, maybe it’s under a different setting elsewhere in template settings?

Or… I have to use a specific image size for that particular logo, to which it is forcing the original logo to display instead?

Any help would be appreciated!

Hello,

Your mobile menu is a modal popup, so you need to edit it and change the elements from the page, add a menu, and delete blocks as you want.

Hello,

Please check with the tagDiv Composer and disable the H1. For example, H1 from logo(header, footer, mobile, sticky) : https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/6-h1-tags-on-front-page-bing-have-deindexed-my-site/

Thank you!
