Hello mertensr,
Unfortunately, please notice that here is talking about two different things, the POST pages, and PAGE. The theme does not have any such an option that allows you to use the post template for page template, sorry! All of these has different functionalities. I suggest you use the Cloud Template Library to create your own template according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Thanks for your understanding!
How do we configure our homepage with the following theme template as indicated in the demo here:
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_politics/
Thank you.
WordPress does not support that normally. There might be a plugin for that. Website menus are intended to be ‘site wide’ which is how that has been done since 1994. However, some sites create sub-menus per page for sections of sites and often simplest way to do that is register a new widget area, then put that into a custom post template then create custom WP menu and put into the widget, then that widget area is loaded either from the custom template used for a site section as sub-menu.
To create custom menu “per post/page” might need way more customization.
Suggest:
a) look for plugin that does that
b) you might need to hire developer
c) be way more specific in what/why you are trying to do which is not a normal thing in WordPress, and not built in to any theme I’ve ever seen since 2004 for WP.
(I don’t work here; just some feedback as long time webdev dinosaur) 🙂
Some possible plugins might be
https://themify.me/conditional-menus
https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-specific-menu-items/
I guess some themes may now include this, but not common.
Hello “coments” run in news, but don’t run in web pages.
We have activated in
Them panel/template settigs/pages template/Enabled
Pages/options pages/ mark coments
settings/coments/
in page, “quick edit” mark “coments”/diferents options activated
Why my users can’t write coments in pages?
Hey Team, 1st i want to thank you for your perfectly working theme! I`m very happy with my purchase.
The one thing i need and want is the Post Template 7 (its perfect for me and i want it on posts and pages) as a Page Template. Ive copy pasted it into a page-template.php and can use it successfully as a page template. BUT my copy pasted page template doesnt load the author box and the item scope meta tags are not right/missing.
What do i have to change to make the Post Template 7 working flawlessly as a Page Template with all funktions it has as a Post.
Thanks a lot!
Regards
Robert
I have a radio player (plugin: Compact Audio Player) that works fine as “custom HTML” in a widget on the sidebar (The custom HTML only have this: [sc_embed_player_template1 fileurl=”http://new2017.unocontraunoweb.com/live.mp3″%5D). But i can´t make it work as Raw HTML in the home page. Any help, please?
if related to Google Search console error – it’s a ‘soft error’…
This is an ancient problem with WP and Google – when you update a theme, your redirects are temporarily without a place to go and this can cause the ‘index’ file to load in the theme folder, and be seen by Googlebot. The only way to avoid this when doing site updates is to use a ‘maintenance mode’ plugin which pretty much tells the world “we are temporarily closed to do updates” — the main culprit, and one I have complained to WP about for a decade is their use of an index.php file as the default template vs template.php — so there is always an index.php file in your root theme folder which anybody on the web, including Google, can go to and it will try to load and then *correctly* generate an error — it’s not a public page.
One option is to use an htaccess file to setup a redirect for that to your main URL, make the permissions unreadable by outside sources, etc.
Or, simply mark it fixed in search console and get on with your life.
This issue has been posted in this forum at least 100 times now, so obviously a note about this in the FAQs might be helpful ?

Is there a separate setting for offset posts for categories? Can’t find them.
Homepage is set for no offset (leaving it blank).
I’m using the Pagebuilder + latest posts + pagination as a template.
Homepage shows latest posts as it should.
I thought the categories would inherit from that template?
Where can I find settings for offset for the category pages?
Sorry but I’m new to the tagdiv pagebuilder.
Hi duongvh68,
Sorry for this inconvenience, but TD Composer is build specially for page, you can create Homepages, pages, Sections, Single articles, etc. you can create templates but not posts like this
You can read more about tagDiv Composer here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi Chris217,
We recommend you to use tagDiv Composer for page builder, you can read about it here , also using tagDiv Composer you can use the templates from Cloud templates plugin, or your can create your own ones.
Thank you.
Hi,
A first method to place ads in pages is to use the ad box element provided in the composer
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4LCPkXYb
– https://www.screencast.com/t/5sg0zniuQry
In an Ad box you can select from ad spots in which you entered ad codes. You can select from the custom ad spots and the sidebar ad. So if you have ad codes in those sections they will be displayed
– https://www.screencast.com/t/RdYdifrG0P
Another method is to use a widget sidebar element
– https://www.screencast.com/t/lg9DUisvapqT
Maybe you already have created sidebars containing ads and set them for posts. You can also set them for pages with the widget sidebar. In it you can choose from all your sidebars
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hrl9rBGZ
Worth mentioning that if you select the latest articles template for a page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7M3xC7WNB
This section that displays your latest posts will appear at the bottom of the page, you can select a sidebar for it as well.
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Just to add, The composer you guys have needs to improve…a lot. The padding is comical! The website is https://www.aculco.co.uk. Look at the first advert, Sonria Dental’. The spaces above and below are as big as the advert itself!
Then, I try and reduce them only to be told that ‘Invalid Page Template’.
In TAGDIV COMPOSER, I went to the CSS page and tried to reduce the padding. I set it to 0 around the border I wanted to. When saving it, nothing happened and I got a RED box stating ‘Invalid Page Template’. Can you help with this please?
Hello, the template must have an error with automatic ads for AMP. This is quite important since we get a lot of traffic from the AMP pages and google is penalizing us in the positioning .. Any solution?
Thank you
Hi,
In the footer you can either choose from the predefined footer templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/footer-templates/
Some have predefined content (your widgets will appear below this content) others are empty and will display only your widgets.
Or create a page containing the elements you want, then place it as a footer page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/cEKzmEhcs
In this case you can simply design a page with the tagDiv composer and set it as mentioned.
Note that through the cloud library plugin you also have access to footer page templates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
– https://www.screencast.com/t/hfsfoH5bE
These templates can also be customized by you in the composer if needed.
Thanks
Hi afterKa,
If you like this https://www.screencast.com/t/z8qvuLDvz
please copy the code from here make a new page, select the template Pagebuilder + Empty page , no sidebar ( like this https://www.screencast.com/t/ExqtbZmnEO ), copy this custom css in newspaper>theme panel >custom code >custom css code:
#s{
height: 50px;
border-radius: 50px;
font-size: 18px;
padding: 0 20px;
}
#searchsubmit{
display:none;
}
https://www.screencast.com/t/qIbe7gwNOqk
Create a new sidebar widget (look here how to create ), name “search” and drag the search in it https://www.screencast.com/t/A9HXg3sLtS
After that set the page from homepage
https://www.screencast.com/t/kLllXEmPGfO
Thank you.

Not sure I made my question clear – for example this page was created with TD Composer https://brandinginasia.com/china-surpasses-u-s-as-samsungs-biggest-market/
I want to convert it to cloud template. I don’t want to have to convert all 5,000+ posts. How can I change a previous post style to the Cloud Template?
Hi, Catalin. Thank you for your response. Actually, your screenshot shows exactly what I’m trying to understand. Notice that the grayed out example of the page shows the latest posts next to the sidebar. How/Where can you change that layout. It’s the default layout when one chooses “Default Sidebar.” But what if you want to use the default sidebar, but not latest posts?
Which leads to the other question about this: where does one edit the template for these automatically-generated post pages. I don’t mean in the theme panel; I know how that works. But where can you actually edit the template pages?
OOk, I will try to explain my needs better.
I’m not talking about a category page template, I’m talking about a different page template for the posts for each category.
On this page wp-admin / admin.php? Page = td_theme_panel (Category tab) I can define the category page template for each category I want and this is very nice, but it’s not what I want.
I would setting:
a post page template “1” for all posts assigned to category A and
a post page template “2” for all posts assigned to category B.
I can not set it neither on wp-admin / admin.php? Page = td_theme_panel (Category tab) nor on wp-admin / admin.php? Page = td_theme_panel (Post setting tab).
So, I guess this configuration is not present in your theme. How can I get satisfy my needs?
I regret not being able to explain my requests better.
Hi,
The best way will be if you migrate to TD Composer, in that way you will be able to use cloud template.
You can read more about How to move your pages to tagDiv Composer here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
If you decide to take this step please make a full backup first.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hi,
Using a default category template a background for the category pages can be set in the theme panel, per category settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/6f0gMggNP64B
A thing to note here is that all the posts that have the category as primary will inherit the background, more about that here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
In case you use a cloud category template, a background can be set as well in the per category settings
– https://www.screencast.com/t/fL4WnP8yWEg
You can also choose from boxed or full background in this case.
If this is not what you are referring to, more details would be very helpful.
Thanks
Hi. I can’t seem to paste a screenshot here. In any case, the part that I’m having trouble with is the Page Attributes setting in Edit Page. The newsmag demo content front page has a setting of “Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination.” Other options are “Default Template” and “Pagebuilder + page title.” Where can I change and/or edit those options in that menu?
Hi garya,
If you like to change the footer template go in Newspaper > Theme panel > Footer expand Footer setting and choose a style or a footer page ( https://www.screencast.com/t/GNutmYRH8N ), also you can use cloud templates to set footer or to create a footer ( https://www.screencast.com/t/6wdfx3cVU ).
Or if all you wish is to change name you can use translation, in order to acces it go in Newspaper > Theme panel > Translations and expand translation , search the title you want to rename ( https://www.screencast.com/t/6wdfx3cVU )
Thank you for your understanding.
If I load a Template in my Home page, through tagDiv Library, this command will overwrite my all content?
