- TutorialsSystem status parameters guide
Hello,
Out of nowhere our theme settings will no longer save this past week. For instance, if I turn off the footer and hit save, the panel will notify me that the save was successful with the checkmark. However, if I refresh the page, the footer is still on — it didn’t save.
What I have done:
– Deactivated all plugins except the TD Composer.
– Reverted to the parent theme as to eliminate any of my child theme additions.
– Verified that all settings are correct in the system status. (input_variables = 5000, execution_time=60, memory limit = 64_
– At one point I was seeing a php error that said I had reached the byte limit for the mysql call, but I increased that amount and haven’t seen the issue since. I see no php errors currently.
– I did notice that the admin-ajax call that you seem to be saving the settings with is returning 0.
Apache/2.4.27 (Amazon) PHP/7.0.21
Wordpress version 4.8.2
Any help would be appreciated.
Zach
Check your system status and try again.

Hello misolek,
Check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here
-> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Most likely, you PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot save anything.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
That error is a WordPress general issue, not caused by theme. Please first check the theme system status and make sure your system status parameters are set properly
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Ask you hosting provider to adjust the values as mentioned in the guide, if needed.

Hi,
There seem to be many errors on the website at the moment
– https://www.screencast.com/t/sGKJ3rNhr
A suggestion would be to make a clean install by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Deactivate all plugins except theme provided plugins, clear all caching. Remove or check any custom code in the theme panel. Do not modify any of the theme files. If you use a child theme, deactivate it as well.
Check the theme system status and these parameters
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Basically these are the theme requirements along with the mentioned parameters
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
The theme and theme plugins should work properly under these circumstances.
Thanks
Hi,
You could use the Duplicator plugin, it seems to be the most recommended method for migrating websites

The theme also has an import/export feature for theme settings

Hi,
If the theme panel is not saving settings, please check the theme system status and make modifications to the WordPress and server parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary

Hello dst,
Check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Most likely, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot make anything.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello ruivideira,
First of all, ensure that you have right installed the theme via FTP way because this is the surest theme method. Also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Also, notice that we do not recommend simultaneous use both plugins because could appear some conflicts. Please reads this useful manual here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
First please check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned din this guide, if necessary

You could ask the hosting provider to make them for you, as they might have a recommended method in this matter. Then check if the issue is still present. Additional deactivate all plugins except theme plugins if you have any other plugins installed, and check again.
If the issue is still occurring it could be related to PHP version, the theme is tested with versions up to 7.1 only. You could contact your hosting and ask them if possible to lower the PHP version accordingly.
Please let us know the results.
Thanks
Hi,
Notice that the speed booster is an optional plugin which can be activated in the same way as you install a new plugin.
The Speed Booster works only with the tested plugins. If you use other plugins, it will be automatically disabled, and I suggest to check this first in System Status. However there is a workaround to make it also work with other plugins, you can read more here
–> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-not-compatible-with-vaultpress/
Thanks for your understanding!
Might need to check with hosting provider… also check system status in theme panel
With the last update (WooCommerce 3.2.0) there is a new big panel box:
Your theme contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. You can see which files are affected from the system status page. If in doubt, check with the author of the theme.
Any ideas to solve?

Hello jchcity,
You should have access to all of the Blocks from TD Composer, as you can see in our tutorial. Make sure that you are using the latest theme version on your side and then, check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ Probably, your PHP memory has exhausted and that’s why you cannot have access to all theme’s settings. Hi,
The Social counter is a plugin created specially for the theme, it cannot be a matter of incompatibility between them.
Check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide, if necessary contact the hosting provider and they might do it for you
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
The theme requirements are mentioned here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Please re-install the theme by FTP
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Deactivate all other plugins except theme plugins (re-install theme plugins as well), do not modify anything in the theme files, or add custom code. Deactivate the child theme is you use one.
If there is still a problem please ask your hosting provider for the error logs possibly created, and explain the situation to them. They could be able to identify the exact cause.
Please let us know the results.
Thanks
