I have been developing a test site using the Newspaper theme. Two of the three pages I have created using the TagDiv composer are coming up with a blank screen but one (simpler) page is working OK.
I have checked the system status and it flags the following in the php.ini however with my hosting I don’t have the option to change these:
max_execution_time 30 – the execution time should be bigger than 60 if you plan to use the demos.
max_input_vars 1000 – the max_input_vars should be bigger than 2000, otherwise it can cause incomplete saves in the menu panel in WordPress.
Is there any way of repairing or recovering the pages?
Hi!
Everything is fine, I far exceed the requirements. I have clear the cache several times, from wordpress and from cloudfare.
My system status: https://prnt.sc/p15rx1
Hello.
I’m trying to customize a website but it doesn’t open the editor, just keeps on loading and nothing never shows up.
I gave more memory limit, tried to deactivate plugins but I’m still getting this error.
what could be? What can I do?
The error page and the system status are below.
Thanks!

Hello !
If that licence was use only some tests, then all you need to do is to reset the key from that website test and activate it on the new website.
How to remove the licence key? simply reset the license key in the theme system status panel.
According to Envato license terms a theme can be used for a single end product (website)

Thank you!
Hello,
I’ve been using Newspaper theme since long time, never faced this kind of issue earlier.
Today I visited the cloud library page, while choosing a theme to download it’s saying “Envato key is missing or invalid. Please register your theme using a valid key and try again.” .
While clicking the “ACTIVATE THEME” inside the cloud library window, it’s redirecting to “”https://www.domain.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=td_cake_panel”” page saying “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” error.
My theme is already activated via online. So do I need to “RESET KEY” by going to “System Status” tab & then activate the theme again ?
Please help to fix this issue. Thank you.
Hello !
We are sorry for the inconvenience !
The newspaper theme benefits from a documentation wich we share with our customers so for a better understanding of how Newspaper theme works you will have to look through the topics you are interested in: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-documentation/
Now, Please make sure that your sidebar is properly set because as you can see in widgets now you have multiple sidebars: https://www.screencast.com/t/hV2FK8LrB
Categories sidebar can be edited from Theme Panel – Categories. And there you have settings for each category.
For the photo issue please make sure you don’t have a plugin conflict (deactivate all non-theme related plugins and check again), and also make sure that your system status is in perfect condition as mentioned above.
Pleae take a look at this tutorial regarding the revolution slider: https://tagdiv.com/revolution-slider-plugin-with-newspaper-theme/

Hi
I have a problem with speed booster and with speed of my web site. I think, i did it all what you put in theme documentation but when is speed booster aktive, design of my web site is changing and it looks like mess. And in system status i have a message like this; speed booster – v4.9.3 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: coming-soon/coming-soon.php…
So, speed of my web site is not good. Can you help me with this?
Hi,
I’m having some issues with my newspaper website after trying to update my website logo and favicon.
After I updated my header and footer logo and favicon, I noticed that the favicon and header logo is not updated properly.
More specifically, for the desktop version of my website the favicon is not updating while the header and footer logo updated fine.
For the mobile version of my website, using the Mobile Theme, both the favicon and header logo are not updating.
When I inspect the HTML elements both on desktop and mobile I notice that they both point to the old assets.
Also, after doing a lot of troubleshooting and testing myself the Mobile Theme now is not working properly
So I tried everything from my hand but can’t seem to find what is the issue. See below a list of things I tried and specs of my website.
- cleared cache on WP Super Cache & CLoudflare
- optimized/cleaned sql db
- clear browser cache and cookies
- cleared web server cache
- updated to latest newspaper theme version 9.8
- disabled Cloudflare
- disabled cache plugin
- disabled all plugins
- updated my server to PHP7.1
- Complied to all configs in system status – all green
My website is https://ourcodepeople.com
I don’t seem to find what is the issue. Something is stuck. My mind goes to some cache not invalidating or something but I cleared all cache memories I could.
The problem still persists and I cannot update the favicon and header logo while the Mobile Theme is not working properly.
Looking forward to your kind advice on the issue.
Regards,
Andreas

Hello !
Usually this issue is related to a firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax.php request. Please verify the console for error while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
I suggest to check your System Status and increase all the php.ini directives at least to the recommended values – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module which blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Let us know and if the issue persist please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin access so we can take a closer look. Also paste a link to this topic so we can identify you.

Thanks for the link. But I was asking about the problem of the theme status not updating.
I changed the max_input_vars from 1000 to 3000 for http://www.gtsupercars.com over a week ago, but the theme system status still hasn’t updated.
First problem: Why are you trying to write to files inside the Plugin folder? wp-content/uploads is usually web-writeable on WordPress, whereas folders in themes and plugins should NOT be web writeable, for security reasons. When I unlock our site, the error message goes away.
As a WordPress developer (plugin, theme and core WP) absolutely dialed in on securing and hardening WordPress, I am dismayed that you want to create these files inside the plugin folder.

Second, we run tagDiv Composer on a *very* large MultiSite network (24 sites, 50+ gigs of content in wp-content/uploads). When we unlock the site (see first issue), tagDiv Editor just sits there and hour-glasses all day long. We have no issues with this on single standalone sites. Health Check is below the image…

Hi,
I changed the max_input_vars from 1000 to 3000 for http://www.gtsupercars.com over a week ago, but the theme system status still hasn’t updated.
Just wondering what else I should do.
Uploading images and just general working on this site is extremely slow, and images don’t upload. SO maybe this parameter is causing the problem?
THanks,
Ben
Already checked this
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1jw3r7huVibcd-QQdxQpBJ3K0kGLiB1qr
Here the System Status Screenshot.
I’ve also tried to switch back to previous php version (BTW nobody touched this and it worked perfectly till this morning).
Deactivated all the external plug in.
Rechecked the Configuration request 2 times.
Increased the wp memory till 500 with no luck and switched back to 256 (as it was from the first time i started using Newspaper).
It only come back on line if i switch off tag div cloud library but i loose the header template doing this.
I’ve spent the entire morning troubleshoting this..my client is completly MAD.
Please do something.
Best
Hi Calin
1)all settings ok, all “green lights” in the System Status panel on the theme
2) I worked through all my plugins… and did in fact find that the “WP Editor” DID work if i deactivated the “Nexgen Gallery” plugin
This plugin is very popular, and I mention it here in case it helps anyone else. I’ve used that Plugin for years, before I used the Newspaper theme in fact! There were no issues with the previous versions of the theme – when using the WPBakery page builder.
Is this conflict something you can look at please? Has it already been reported – it is a massively popular plugin!
Thanks
Hi, with the latest version of Newspaper I activated the mobile theme. System status shows: “Theme Mobile green”. But when I visit the website on mobile (or inspect the mobile site), the mobile version only appears sometimes. Often I see the normal home version. This happens pretty randomly.
Example: Link
According to Newspaper’s System Status everything is fine, I did raise WP Memory Limit to 256 but problem is not solved. Still just keeps on loading.
Hi,
You can add that line in the wp-config file. The memory can be increased in other places as well if needed
– https://docs.brainstormforce.com/how-to-increase-the-memory-limit-of-your-site/
Once changed it should be reflected in the theme system status panel.
Thanks
Hi,
In major cases, this problem happened due to an inappropriate theme installing. First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ Also, check the system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/ After you have made this, if the problem persists, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your log-in information (wp-admin) and CPanel access so we can take a closer look at it.
Thank you!
