Hi,

I have inspected the website, there are no issues with it from what I can see. Please provide some more details about the issues you are having.

Note that we did not receive any other negative reports after the WordPress updates, from our users. Also in our tests there were no issues present.

Full-Width Row Settings seemingly not working. - reply

Hi,

So you are using Visual composer for your pages. Note that if you updated from older theme versions to the latest version, then the tagDiv composer will be activated by default. This composer was introduced in version 8

When both Visual composer and tagDiv composer are active there could be issues. Please go to the plugins section and deactivate the tagDiv composer. Then the Visual composer stretch row option should work properly.

Hi,

That Woocommerce message will not affect the plugin functionality in any way. It is a simple message that can be dismissed. We will make the necessary modification in the theme update which will be released next week.
So do not worry, there will be no issue with the plugin or theme.

Regarding that other message with geolocation, you might be missing a file according to this topic

tagDiv Composer Error Redirect - topic

Hello! I bought the NewsPaper theme on the last day, installed it on a clean WordPress, installed the necessary plugins.

However, when I activate the “tagDiv Composer” plugin, when trying to access the administrative panel, a multiple redirection error appears. When I disable the “tagDiv Composer” plugin, it stops giving the error and returns to normal.

I’m using version 1.0 of the plugin (came in the installation package). Is there any update of the plugin? Does anyone know about this error?

Hello,
for some time we’ve had all theme (Newspaper) options below individual posts/pages displayed without any styling, and not clickable. It’s the same with the theme’s main options page. We haven’t done anything special on the website. Apart from regular updates (however, we can’t link the problem to any particular update).
The current version of the theme is 7.8.1. And WordPress: 4.9.4.
We’ve tried updating to Newspapet newest version (8.5) but it didn’t change anythign – the problem with unusable theme’s options remained (additionally, there appeared some problems with displaying certain parts of some pages/posts, so we switched back to 7.8.1 version).
Please advise what might be the problem

Hello,

I just updated my Web Portal and the social icons are not appearing on anywhere. There is a wierd character on the place where should be the icons.

Works for me 🙂
But as noted, always make backups prior to any WP update; also useful to look at the changelog for WP to see what was actually changed/fixed.

For example the latest update simply fixes a bug in the update from couple days back where the ‘auto updater’ was broken.

My site is crashing and the error log is almost 1 gig. It is referencing the theme in the error log. Have you updated so you’re compatible with the new version of WordPress? If so, any idea what might be causing this?

Quick Update

Looks like i have been missing a lot (yes a lot) of SEO because i totally forgot to check my broken links when i migrated from Blogger to WordPress. Even if you haven’t migrated and had fresh install of WP, try getting the Redirection Plugin.

It will tell you about your broken links and redirect all those broken links to another url, so you don’t lose precious SEO Juice of your website.

Just a quick update to the guide:

Further Speed can be increased by-

Setting Post-template to Post Template Style 5 or 12 (i prefer 12). This removes viewing your featured image in the post and reduces the load. Note: Do set a featured image, as GoogleBot will still crawl your website and will be able to fetch this image for showing in rich snippets (if applicable).

Apart from that, the users who were having trouble with http to https redirections, following code can be added to .htaccess file in your hosting cPanel:

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]

Note: Do not duplicate RewriteEngine On

The update should be released next week, if all goes well. There will be AMP support, the tagDiv composer will receive a considerable amount of new options and settings. There will be other features as well.

Totul functioneaza foarte bine, o sa folosesc tema voastra si in proiectele viitoare.

#Am anumite intrebari:
Am instalat demo-ul vostru default (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/)
1. Pot sa afisez si ora postarii, nu doar data? (pentru un website de stiri este important cine a publicat primul ca si ora si minut). WordPress implicit la postare are: data, ora si minut.
2. De unde customizez “author box” sa aiba poza si descriere?
3. Unde setez ca la articolele postate icoanele de share sa fie vizibile in mod automat si nu doar apasand icoana + (la voi in demo sunt afisate automat).
4. Pe fiecare poza este scrisa categoria. Are default background color negru si la mouse hover este albastra. Se pot schimba aceste culori din meniu fara custom CSS?
5. Cand editez demo-ul vostru cu TD Composer nu pot edita si “LATEST ARTICLES”, de unde incarcati aceste articole? Din ce locatie le customizez?
6. In footer de unde incarcati EDITOR PICKS si POPULAR POSTS? Din ce locatie le customizez?
7. Se poate ca la o postare care este adaugata in categoria “Featured” sa faca display pe homepage in loc de poza un videoclip Youtube? #Sugestii:
1. Logo: Atunci cand ai facut ceva scroll pe pagina si dai scroll sus apare din nou meniul website-ului. Aici ar fi bine daca ar incarca logo-ul din mobile, sau alta varianta. Explicatie: Daca in logo ai un motto, cum aveti voi de exemplu: “the art of publishing” acel text nu mai este lizibil la scroll sus cand reapare meniul (asa este si in cazul meu).
2. Clasa “td-adspot-title” care face display la textul “- Advertisement -” este deja declarata de cei de la Adblock in “spam ads”, acesta clasa ar trebui “schimbata” la fiecare update de tema, sau mai ingenios generata in functie de un parametru unic pentru fiecare client, astfel sa le fie aproape imposibil sa o declare “spam ads” asa usor. Daca verificati cu Adblock plus inclusiv demo-ul vostru o sa vedeti ca “- Advertisement -” nu apare.

Apropo: Tema voastra functioneaza perfect cu Wordfence (antivirus, firewall cu +1 milion instalari active).

Overload server when trying to edit/create a post - reply

Hi,

We did not receive any other similar reports from theme users after the latest update. The last update was not major, the post sharing socials received some modifications and there were some various fixes made. So there would be no reason to cause the issues you are mentioning.

Try again to deactivate all plugins, leave only theme plugins active. Remove custom codes or theme modifications. Switch to the main theme if you use a child theme. Make sure there are sufficient resources as mentioned in the guide. Clear all caching and purge CDN cache as well. Monitor and see if there is any change. Hopefully you can identify what exactly is causing the problem.

What my colleague recommended is a general advice, for safety one should make periodic website backups

I mentioned many times above, code entered in theme panel custom sections will not be lost. It will be saved in the database. Of course if anything was to happen to the database then it will be lost. Only modifications to the theme files directly will be lost after an theme update. Hopefully this will clear things up.

Hi,

Indeed there is no option to import the views from a different theme. I see you managed to achieve it. On mobile theme the same view count of the post should be diusaplyed and the count will increase further. That is not a different counter
