Dear,
I try to update my website with the TD composer but I get this error
Errors at columns: 3(models) : 4(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)
the error in image TD Composer Error
For your information
1. The website editing was working fine.
2. The last Time I use it is December 2023
3. The theme is up to date (12.6.4)
Please help
Hi there,
Thanks for the update. Yes i have the latest theme version (Newspaper Version: 12.6.4). Also i have disabled the live css by commenting the highlighted code.
Blocking Ip is also not working surprisingly for those IPs where he is hitting that service and I am checking that part with my hosting provider.
But since hacker is still hitting that page, can he do some damage to the site or sniff on any critical information like credentials etc?
Hello,
Please let me know what theme version you have.
Please update the theme to the latest version 12.6.4.
This malware infects not only theme files but also WordPress files or other plugin files. This malware was not detected only in our theme but also in many other themes and plugins https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/massive-balada-injector-campaign-attacking-wordpress-sites-since-2017 / -> https://cybernews.com/security/wordpress-malware-epidemic-balada-injector/ -> https://www.geoedge.com/balda-injectors-2-0-evading-detection-gaining-persistence /
You could consider reinstalling the WordPress version, reinstalling the theme, and checking for this plugin wp-zexit.php. It might be wise to inspect via FTP if it doesn’t appear in the WordPress -> Plugins. Additionally, using Wordfence to scan the website and remove unknown users would be prudent.
Thank you!
Hello @Krystianhowe !
Yes, it should work well.
Please update the theme and plugins to the latest version.
For every update, we always recommend the following:
-> First of all, please make sure you have a backup.
-> Please deactivate all the non-tested plugins with our theme before updating.
-> Update WordPress, PHP, the theme, and plugins to the latest version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/.
-> Check all these requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hello,
Please let me know what php version you have. Please update the php version to 8.
Also, do a test using only tagdiv plugins.
Thank you!
Hello,
You have the mobile theme plugin activated; please deactivate it.
Using our theme, you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/ The option that you need to use.
Suppose you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer. In that case, when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc, so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY.
So, the mobile responsive is what you see when that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
The Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin cannot.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activated and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page, you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activated.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.

Hello @smog20!
There is a known issue with this version of the theme. We will try to provide a fix in the next update. We’re sorry for the inconvenience!
Thank you so much for understanding!
Hello @Chris269!
If you will use in the future cloud templates (that we recommend), then you have in the TagDiv Composer a lot of options for customization. We wanted to create the easiest platform, so you can build your website without knowing any code and have the possibility to customize every field from any demo. That’s why you do not need a child theme with cloud templates. But you can use the child theme you have with the default templates.
The child theme is not overwritten by the update. An issue with that could be the compatibility of your child theme with the new version of our theme.
If you have some custom modifications directly in the theme files, then better save the code and replace it after every update. You can use a staging plugin, so you won’t ruin your website.
Thank you!
Hi Friends,
The latest update of the Newspaper theme has caused our post pages to render inside what looks like a frame and it is throwing these two errors:
Warning: require(/home/customer/www/thevalley.life/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/customer/www/thevalley.life/public_html/wp-includes/comment-template.php on line 1618
Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required ‘/home/customer/www/thevalley.life/public_html/wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php74
Anyone have an idea about what happened or have dealt with this before?
Here is a link to one of our post pages:
https://thevalley.life/fire-doused-at-redwood-road-nail-salon-2/
Theme is not throwing errors for any other pages on the site. We have comments turned off throughout the site. The theme is a recent install. Updated to Version: 12.6.4. All plugins up to date and none that are ‘specialized’ beyond the theme standards.
Hi,
I would like to add new blocks to an existing page on https://www.waterforum.net, but whatever I do, nothing happens. So I can ‘pick up’ a block, hover above the correct location but no success whatsoever. Already updated everything and deactivated all plugins except 3 Tagdiv modules but that didn’t help either.
Thanks
I did a theme upgrade from version 9.x to the latest version. I know there were several major versions I upgrades at once, but I took a chance… After the upgrade I can´t view the start page properly https://www.roslagsbanan2.se/ or the posts http://www.roslagsbanan2.se/hyra-ut-i-andra-hand/, but the pages look OK https://www.roslagsbanan2.se/for-maklare/.
I have updated and activated TagDiv Composer and Cloud Libary. I assume I need to something with the post templates, but what? I have tried to update a post, but it did not help.
About the start page; I made it so long time ago that it can be made in Visual Composer (or whatever the name was). I am tempted to try to open it in TagDiv Composer and save it from there, but I decided to ask for advice here first. (I know it is said that the start page needs to be created again from scratch changing from Visual Composer to Tag Dig Composer, but I have previously successfully just opened and saved another start page in TagDiv Composer).
I am not a developer, I can do configurations within the theme, but no coding or too technical suggestions.
Thanks.
Anyone else have all their images not viewable after the woocommerce 8.6 update?
This is how I understand it thus far: the child theme is important because all of my posts and personalization of the theme are done on the child theme and when I go to update the theme when you update it, I merely replace the main theme and all of my edits and blogs and personalization remains intact and the ‘base main theme’ is what is overwritten by the update. Right?
SO, if you are saying ‘child theme no longer needed because of our invention and update proof’ how does your new process of no child theme work and how does it NOT overwrite all my stuff if I am updating the main theme then?
🙂
Hi, so, I am a somewhat of a novice, was making a wordpress site years ago and have decided to try again, so i have moderate experience.
When I read this on your instructions regarding ‘child themes’
“Please note that most of the child theme modifications are no longer required as the Cloud Library plugin allows you to create templates for posts, categories, tags, archives, 404 pages, author templates, search templates, etc.
This way your modifications no longer require code modification and are truly update proof.”
It confuses me.
I do not intend on altering the code (for now) and I just want to use the website theme and it’s features but I am confused about this ‘no longer needed child theme’ and then ‘lets help you figure out how to instal a child theme’ right after.
For now, I just want to know what the best way is to install this so that I will not run into unforeseen complications down the road.
What is the process/circumstances of ‘NOT’ using the child theme and updating your theme?
What is the process/circumstances of using the child theme and updating your theme?
I guess if your instructions were a bit more detailed regarding this I would no be so confused right now. Once you start saying ‘no need for child theme’ I guess it would be better to explain why more than just a link that leads to instructions that do not actually tell you anything about that.
Perhaps one day after setting everything up, all the blogs, all the personal edits of theme pages and logos, if I then need to change something in the code THEN I would need the child theme? If so THEN is it possible to instal child theme or is this something I should do ahead of time just in case?
lol, explain it to me like I am 5 years old 🙂
Thanks.
Hello @sotirisa!
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page.Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
If you need to use mobile version 1 or 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile Theme plugin and AMP.
Thank you!

Any updates on that?
I have an unresolved problem. I’m asking for your help.
When you create and update a web page using tagdiv composer on an existing page, existing posts may be deleted. If I create a new page using tagdiv composer, there is no problem, but if I update an existing page using tagdiv composer, all existing text and design will be lost. What should I do?
Hi,
Unfortunately, the API for Twitter was changed, and to get the information using the API, it needs to be paid. We will try to find a solution until the next major update.
Thank you!
Dear Team,
For whom it will concern: we have worked the last week with the latest update of Newspaper.
As the upgrade looked ok in first instance, we found out that the behavior of the TagDiv Composer has become very unpredictable, thus causing unexpected template behavior of this great theme.
– Slight changes in tdi. settings that aren’t changed while editing the template
– In editor mode the live site cosmetics are sometimes not what they should look like.
Therefore we now always have to log out and restart browser in order to check if changes have been correctly processed (and what other suddenly appear).
– Using third party caching (WP-Optimize Premium) is not stable anymore icw these changes.
Former additional/customized CSS rules do not work well with latest version of Newspaper. Please check first before you make any changes to your template with Composer.
Hi,
published in the online web space but, in a few days, the visual composer doesn’t works in front page and doesn’t saves the customizations.
In theme panel the update doesn’t works and it seems to be difficult to verify my license. We need to solve those issues today. What happened?
Regards
