Solved the issue. I had to uninstall the WPBakery Visual Composer and upload the updated one provided by the template. Seems to be working ok now.

there is an issue in the current version of WP that seems to be affecting every theme. You will not be able to delete a theme from the wordpress dashboard. Please use ftp to install or update your theme:

If you want to receive a previous version of the theme, you should send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and there you should specify what type of Newsmag version you want. Please keep in mind that we cannot provide support for older theme version and also, we cannot say for sure if any older version of the theme will work as properly because the WordPress has been updated and we do not make any tests with our older version, sorry! If you want to bring best results with our products you should keep up with our updates and you should not make any downgrade. This is just my advice and recommendation.

When I try to add a box to a page or edit an existing box on a page, I am unable to save. Is there an update to visual composer that I need? This began happening a few days ago. Please help.

It’s found on the Themeforest website and in the download ‘all files’ for the Newsmag theme.
You will get automated email from TF when the theme is actually updated. Don’t go by the “last updated” box on right side of TF page as that is just when the info was updated, not necessarily the actual theme.

Hi! I’ve a lot of problem on my website.
I try to save a new article or update an old article but this doesn’t happen!
When i click on “save” or “update” button in backend I come redirected to homepage (yes, from backend to frontend) and the article isn’t saved or updated.

The tagdiv composer was updated and it was focused more for the ionmag theme as it uses only the td composer, not visual composer. We will release updates to newspaper and newsmag and the plugin will once again work as expected. We will probably update td_composer on github as well.

The shortcodes that are available in opur theme are found under the shortcodes section in the tiny mce editor: http://screencast.com/t/mv7gUSi6aM and under the formats tab: http://screencast.com/t/qcuQGwm8gAo (it includes a button) https://forum.tagdiv.com/increase-users-engagement-add-custom-buttons-posts/ but complex elements such as tabs, accordions and block elements, can only be available through visual composer.

As for the headers, it depends where the header gets it’s style. In this case it’s a buddypress style that affects the header color.
You can use this css code to target ALL block titles at once and have them the color that you want:

Im facing three issues since ive migrated my site to the hosting server
First with the theme activation, its says too many requests from ur ip.
It’s the second site im trying to use your theme with.
Second issue, is with Visual Composer. It’s updated (4.12.1), in my localhost version of the site everything is fine. But since ive migrated from localhost i cant edit my
homepage. The elements of the VC dont load in the backend, there’s a little spinner that spins undefinetly. In the frontend everything goes right.
Third problem has to do with the mobile version of the main menu. It permanently appears on the the desktop version of the site, on the left of all the content of the site.
It forces a horizontal scroll bar to appear and i have to scroll left to be able to see the site content.
PS: Im not using the tagdiv mobile theme

If you cannot login, then via ftp do this:
a) rename /wp-content/plugins — to xplugins
b) delete all theme folders except for the stock twenty-sixteen
c) then login
d) then go to appearance > themes, and change theme to twenty-sixteen
e) rename plugins folder back
f) only activate necessary plugins
g) install theme and plugins fresh, via FTP
once theme working
a) resave permalinks
b) use wp-optimize plugin to optimize your WP dbase
*reminder:
you should be making periodic mysql dbase backups before doing any theme install, major WP or plugin update, etc. — note the WP export option does not provide a full restore ability, like the dbase export does (trust me!).

Good Morning team
As usual I love your theme and it settings however I have been reporting this issue for some time now and it has not been solve so I am requesting help again. When I view the website on a mobile it shows the raw codes of the settings of the backend instead of showing the home page of the website unless if you scroll down to the option that says view site full before you can see the site properly on the phone. I Rep Salone link to one of the site. Another problem, the social media buttons for facebook option is not working and i think is to do with the settings. it was working fine at first but since i did the update that option stopped working.

We recommend it as it is running fine but it sometimes gets overloaded on too many requests. These things happen in the web environment more than we like to and since we sell our themes on envao and envato has a theme updater plugin, it’s on every envato theme update documentation. It is not mandatory to be used though which is a good thing 🙂

Unfortunately we are not the plugin creators so we cannot say for sure how it works or how it doesn’t. We added it to our list as it’s an envato solution but as Chris says, FTP is the best method to update: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
