Indeed, this is a mini-bug in our theme when you are using the Google Chrome for your iPhone. We will deeper investigate it and we will consider fixing it in the next future update. Also, as a mention, please notice that the Google Chrome is not optimized for IOS and because of this might appear these issues. We recommend using always the SAFARI browser if you have apple devices.

Update: After purging CloudFlare cache, on the browser I am using, Chrome for Mac, I reloaded my main page by forcing it to reload everything (SHIFT + tapping on the reload button), it is working fine now.

If you have the latest version of our theme (Newspaper 7.0.1), please ensure that you have updated all your plugins to the latest version of the theme -> Social Counter ->4.0, Visual Composer ->4.11.2, clear all your caches and test it again and check the results.

Well, we did a fresh install with NO plugins except VC on a spare domain as a test. We installed one of the demos and problem still exists.

Also, please ensure that you are using the latest version of child theme which comes bundled with the latest version of Newspaper. Please notice that very important is what you have added in your child theme because the code could be wrong and the child theme will not work. 6)As I said you above, the general cropping system for the entire theme is ‘center to top’. Images used in thumbs are cropped to fit the thumb size and depending on image aspect ratio the result can be different. The theme uses center-top cropping system but if you want you can modify it to center-center (for example) if you consider that will work better. for me the backend editor/ visual composer does not work at the moment. When I am working on an article and switch from classic mode to backend editor, my article does not appear anymore.

In the backend editor screen I can not add any elements, after clicking on one it just does not happen anything.
First I thought the problem might occure because I havent updated to Newspaper 7 yet. But I did that now it nothing changes.

– Seems like something is blocking the JS or CSS
– deactivated wp-rocket and everything displaying properly now
– activated wp-rocket, disabled minifications and nothing changed but when i deactivate the cache plugin everything comes back to normal. the is what i have been using with version 6 of the theme

Whenever I try to edit the Home Page, I get a blank screen. The page does get updated, but I do not go back to the Edit Page after updates. I am pasting a dropbox link to video of the error.

Since the last wordpress update I get a http error every time I upload an image to a post.
I updated your newsmag theme. The plug ins are all updated.
I tried disabling all the plug ins, the http error stayed.
I implemented theme 20-15, en voila. No http error.
Therefore, the problem is in your theme? How can I fix this?

So I have added the code to the php.ini file. Killed all my processes from the back-end, and still it does have update to the values that I set it in the php.ini file.

After WordPress updated at V 4.5 there appeared a jQuery conflict in our theme, also older version of VC won’t work with it. We fixed this conflict and the current theme version available on themeforest works fine, also we included last version of Visual Composer plugin.

Hi I have recently updated my newspaper theme to 7.0.1 and the social counter to 4, I have also verified my credentials on facebook. but my facebook counter is still set to zero. We actually have just under 9000 likes.

Hey guys, Loving the new updates to NewsPaper 7!! Excellent job. I have a few questions though about some quirks I am noticing on mobile. When the mobile theme plugin is activated, I noticed that the fonts I have stated I want used for the headings, body text etc, they no longer show up on mobile, but instead some default fonts loads. How can I fix this? (the heading fonts I use on the site load via Typekit, also can I use fonts from Fonts.com web subscription in that box?)
Next, I noticed that if I go to a post with images in it and I click on the images, instead of opening in a lightbox like it normally would, it opens up the image itself in a new window or opens the image file page if it’s not the featured image. How can I get it to instead open in the lightbox like before?
Also, when I view the homepage on the mobile phones, I notice it right away has three featured posts, but where and how are they selected? How can I change them to be specific posts if I’d like?

3,4) It seems we have some miscommunication here. I do not ask for customization. The only thing I ask is an explanation of what I have done wrong. I did everything according to your instructions (the steps I did are described above). The only question I have is what I did wrong and what steps were made not according to the instructions? I have already used child themes on 4 other sites I have with 4 other themes. So I have never experienced any issues in it. At other themes it works perfectly. I have read the documentation you provided several times and I did everything according to the manual, but it still doesn’t work. Really hope for your advise.

9. I do understand that. The reason I’m raising this questions is because it seems in your manual there is a discrepancy. So I decided to help you. You mentioned in the manual that we should use CloudFlare, but in the same time you mentioned that gzip compression is required. So if gzip compression is enaebled at CloudFlare by default, probably it would be helpful for the rest of the users if you mention that they do not need to enable gzip compression at the server when they are connected to Cloudflare, as otherwise two gzip compressions will be enabled: at CLoudflare (which is turned on by default) + at their own server. That is the only reason I mentioned it. I believe it really cool when people can help each other, that is why I mentioned it but not because I’m looking for support in the question. When people help each other for no reason, it makes the world better )
11. Isn’t it directly concerns proper work of the speed booster plugin? I believe if we resolve the issue, we will make the plugin better together, won’t we? If we resolve the issue, other users will never face it and will consider the theme as the best in the world.
14. Let me mention that I know the steps required to be made. That code perfectly works at any of my other sites, but it doesn’t work with newspaper 🙁 That is the reason why I asked for support here. For 4 year at my previous theme I gathered hundred of thousands taxonomies. All I want is to make my web site works with the new theme at least on the same level as it worked on the previous one. I would really appreciate if you could potentially consider a possibility of giving me a hand with this unusual question.
