Hi
Please make sure updated the theme following our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/ also deactivate the child theme if you’re using then test again.
You can also try to make a new wp-install on a sub-domain or on your local computer and check if the problem is still there.
Let us know how it goes and if you still can’t manage to solve this please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and ftp access so we can have a closer look at this issue, also include a link to this topic.
Thanks!
Hi
I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using an older version of Visual Composer plugin. Try to update the plugin at V 4.11.2 which is included in theme’s path, /plugins folder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ clear all caches and test again. Also check the parameters from system status and make sure that they have the values indicate in our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks!
Hi,
With every new version of wordpress, there will always be updates and fixes released so It’s best to keep an eye out for theme when you see a new version of WP. In order to fix the problems created by this new version you need to update your theme to the latest version by following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and also very important, to update the visual composer plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
Hi,
@travisnw The theme uses the H1 tag for the post and page titles, YES!
@Mayapur Voice We have not been providing any code snippets as we are working on improving SEO for our theme in the next big update so stay tuned for a few changes that definitely will improve SEO
@Bintmusic The solution you showed will change the block title, but not the post titles of the modules inside a block element. In order to change the heading tag of the module (post)titles into the desired heading tag, you must edit this file: http://screencast.com/t/N9i9v0t9bHa
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi,
After the last update of the WP and the theme the TinyMCE its not working I only have to use the text area, also all buttons on the tool bar are not showing.
Pleas, how to fix this issue?
Hi
I’ve checked your site and the images are displayed fine now: http://screencast.com/t/gDQYvUbhx Also I’ve noticed that you’re using an older version of Visual Composer plugin. There is a chance to have some issues with its functionality as last WordPress’s update caused some conflicts with older versions of Visual Composer. If this happens update Visual Composer at V 4.11.2 which is included in theme’s path. Here is our update documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thanks!
Hi
The theme does not control;l the content picked by Facebook’s sharer. To achieve that you need to use a plugin for og tags. We recommend SEO by Yoast which is tested and works fine with our theme: http://screencast.com/t/yL824S05DmCL – http://screencast.com/t/Od3CIT8j You may need to fetch a new scrape using faceb debugger to force facebuck update your new description in real time: http://screencast.com/t/B8EB3g7G3kgX – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
Here you can find more details about og tags: http://kb.yoast.com/article/219-getting-open-graph-for-your-articles
Thanks!
Hi,
Make sure you also update the visual composer plugin by following the guide in this topic. It’s the plugin itself that had issues with the new version of WP, not the theme, but this was fixed in the latest version of VC 4.11.2
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately the ‘WP Booster’ folder will not work from the child theme. Any customization to the files inside this folder will need to be done inside the main theme and reapplied if you update the standard way. There is a change you can skip a few updates with the re implementation by using the update patch that is included in the theme archive. If the file you modify was not changed in the update you want to apply, then you can simply apply the patch and your file will not be modified. For this you will need to keep an eye out for the modified files included in the patch.
Hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi,
This is because you updated WordPress to the latest version but not the theme and the Visual composer plugin.
Please update your theme using this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
And also update the visual composer plugin like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Thank you!
Dear Friends,
I just purchased and installed your theme on a new site i’m using as a mockup. My eventual plan is to have it replace my company website.
For the first few days everything was working wonderfully. However, with the update to 4.5 and the update to the latest version of the theme, something wonky has happened to the Visual Composer Plugin.
I went through the steps of downloading the latest version of the theme and reinstalled the latest version of the plugin but this isn’t solving the problem (yet)
Essentially, I don’t have access to any of the Visual Composer buttons when I create a page or post. When I click not on the icon, it simply kicks me out to purchase Visual Composer separately.
When you visit the site (new.teachercast.net) You can see that everything looks great and that that the pages where I have included VC elements also work (http://new.teachercast.net/speaking/) however, I’m not seeing how to fix the issue where I can’t continue to create or edit these pages without the site kicking me out to purchase the plugin.
BTW: I LOVE THIS THEME!!!
Also …. on a side note: I can’t seem to update any of the user data for my authors. When I go into add any social info or bio info for the users, it simply ignores it when I hit save. Is this something you could also help me out with? I’m not sure who to turn to for this.
I can certainly create an admin account for you if needed.
Thank you for the help!
– Jeff
Hi
@awesomenezz make sure you’re using the current theme’s version available on themeforest, V 6.7.1 and also update the Visual Composer plugin at V 4.11.2. Here you can find our documentation regarding the update process: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ Also check if the parameters from system status are have the recommended values. Here you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks!
Hi,
The plugin form the revolution slider 5 folder is the correct version. The activation message will appear but it can be ignored. It seems they added this message in the current version but we cannot provide a license key as the plugin is a free version bundled with the theme. We will provide updates to it so you will not nerd any activation key to use it.
Thank you!
Hi,
The toolkit should work properly if you follow every step carefully here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
If you still cannot get it to work, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and we will inspect this issue.
Thank you!

From searching prior comments, this looks like it might b a category template that got overwritten (yet I’m using a child theme)… but I can’t access my theme panel at all. Well its kind of there but missing menu and content.
Instead I have this in the menu panel:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/ctrlpp5/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/wp-admin/panel/panel_core/td_panel_core.php on line 62
and this in the content panel:
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/ctrlpp5/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newsmag/includes/wp_booster/wp-admin/panel/panel_core/td_panel_core.php on line 119
I have cleared the caches multiple times and deactivated all the plug-ins and cleared again, but its having no effect.
These errors, of course, are writing to the site pages too, as well as page specific errors.
After updating to WordPress 4.5 & update 6.7.1 newspaper , Visual Composer “Classic Mode” not show edit button,
Hi,

Hi
The last theme update is tested and works fine on Chrome. Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches, purge cdn file if you’re using then test again. Also make sure that you’re using lat version of Visual Composer plugin included in theme’s path, V 4.11.2.
Thanks!
Hi, my website is ballplayerplus.com. Ive updated my theme, deactivated all third party plugins, however, the “edit with visual composer” is nowhere to be found. I can edit my pages with page builder, but thats not as effective as using visual composer. Any help would be critical
Thanks
Thanks very much. I updated to the latest version. However now I have not been able to upload any new media. I am not sure what is happening now.
