Also, when trying to update plugins it times out and give an internal server error.

Hello !
The Mobile theme was specially designed for optimization on mobile devices. Unfortunately on mobile theme you cannot do much changes of design. If you want to have the same design as on desktop mode you can achieve that by simply disabling the mobile theme.
You will have to recreate your pages into the Mobile editor or completely disable the mobile theme. The mobile editor will not render shortcodes !
Also you can disable mobile theme on certain pages or posts by following this setting:

Please try to update the theme again manually, in this way you’ll exclude the problems that can appear during theme update, delete the theme and theme plugins and use the method B from our guide -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
Also make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict or some modules that are blocking the theme and plugins to get updated.

I think there is some problem with TagDiv Image Gallery widget. From the last Newspaper update images are deformed. See for example any gallery in this post:

You can remove the following code from the theme’s style.css file

nothing happens when I try to update my theme. You can see the difference in the first 2 pictures. Here it shows that I can not be allowed to press anything as it is as if there is an error and the button is gone. Its just getting darker.
I can not be allowed to upload the theme again. nothing happens when I do. So much is in doubt about how I can then update it?
I have been working on an update of my site for some time, and finished today. Only thing left was to change categories on some posts. Great was my surprise when I returned to main screen from categories for testing. When previewing a page it only shows the script inserted from Newspaper. Looking closer I realize the Newspaper has gone. Plugins are not there.
That is, not completely gone. The Welcome/Plugins/Support pages are there, but the theme is not installed in WP. I tried to close down and reopen. No effect.
So what to do?
Can I just re-enable Newspaper, since the script in pages is there?
Anything else? I have used a few Cloud templates.
The environment is Bluehost/staging. Newspaper V 10.3.8
PS. Hope this not happen when I go live..

I did what you suggested. I removed all plugins, left only tagDiv plugins active. No change. Problems still present.

It is only on the pages. Posts are not effected by it.
On pages. “Add new” button and create a new sample page, everything is working great, as it should.
Only the pages I created in 2019, before the big update in Newspaper theme, having the problem with the “Edit” button. As mention earlier, “Edit with TD Composer”, “quick Edit” and the rest, is working as expected.
I have no clue what to do else, except uninstall the demotheme or, worse, redo the entire wp-installation, but later I really want to avoid.

I haven’t been able to sort it out either.
I’ve tried seeing if it was a caching issue but that hasn’t work, I’ve updated the Newspaper Theme and other plug-ins and deactivated them.
Can’t seem to sort it out.
If you find a solution let me know as I’m struggling to find one at this point.

If you have only one header and only one footer template. You can edit them using website manager as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/0q51idUdiGD for the footer all you have to do is to scroll to the bottom of your page.
As for the update you have to make sure that there was no plugin conflict since this is not a normal behavior.

Got the latest update for Newspaper installed.
When using the Edit Button on posts, everything is working fine.
Doing the same for pages is causing problems.
Using the Edit button for an older page, created in 2019, the system is loading half way and get stuck. Nothing working, no progress, no finish. Have to close the browser window and reopen a new one.
“Edit with TD Composer” and all other buttons are working as they should, only “Edit” is not.
Exception: Once I create a “ADD NEW” pages, saved it, the “Edit” button is working. I also could use “Edit with TD Composer” and save everything. These pages are working and behaving as they should.
How do I fix this?
Do I have to re-create all pages created before the latest update?
At the time I used Newspaper Theme I installed a demo theme, but never removed it. Instead I made all adjustments and changes as needed. Now I wonder, can I uninstall the demo theme without loosing any changes?

Hi Topfgartenwelt,
That is the same function, therefore if you remove one, the view count will stop for entire website. The code that is use for the view count on frontend is only to display it, not (is taking the data from database and in database is updated using the function that you comment).

Hi Essentia, using our theme in most cases is not necessary to use a child theme, our theme has fields that allow you to style the website also those setting will not be lost when you’ll update the theme (most of the settings can be done using the mouse theme panel settings and tagDiv Composer).
