For Yoast: In the new update there have been inserted new blocks in gutenberg and due to those improvements you have to refresh your post because now Yoast doesn’t work in real time. So you can do this by updating and saving your posts.
The page editor has been fixed in the Newspaper 10.1
The best way to update the Newspaper Theme is to delete the current Newspaper Theme version and TagDiv Plugins and after that you can install the new version.

That is Because I Just Disabled Both Plugins…
When I Check Page Speed Score after Enabled Two Plugins it Got Reduced Too much.
When Disabled, it increased.
So, I Simply Disabled.
Google Adsense was another reason for page speed low score, I remove ll ads scripts…
just to check the Speed and all.

i have this Problems:
Cloud Theme – i can not edite with the composer
The Cloud theme – have no sitebar on the desktop Version
Yoast isnt working anymore, it isnt possibe to insert a keyword
in the Posts/Pages editor – i can not change from visuel to text
maybe it is the wordpress update, or the theme update…i dont know

Wordpress doesn’t show me that there is an update for the theme. Does that mean I have to go to the whole “deinstall old theme, then install new theme” process again? Or is there a quicker way?

i still have huge problems with yoast seo. it wont detect links, register sub headlines.
does i still register tags on articles?
i run an online magasine, and soon have a deadline so this is a huge problem, that i cant seo update articles!

it is not okay that you have an made an update that has so many errors in it, especially because your theme is a product people pay to have access to.
You new to do better next time, so you don’t waste so much time for people who run companies via wordpress, and your theme.

2. No, posts and pages should not be affected by the update.

Thanks for your reply, we’ve been waiting for months for this to be solved in parent theme as we have done lots of customization in template files via child theme to fit our custom design customization. Would you please push this issue to the developer team and ask them to solve it in next update as we are unable to update theme to its latest version because of it. Hope you understand!

I could successfully update my Newspaper theme from version 9.8 to 10.1
1) As we purchased the theme from Envato, I updated the Envato Market plugin
2) I just clicked the update available button
3) Updated the outdated plugins
My site is working fine.
Update: I have been fiddling with a staging copy of one of our sites that I upgraded to 5.3 and it appears that the issue is due to a conflict between the new Gutenberg editor in WordPress 5.3 and the tagDiv Composer.
I confirmed this by disabling tagDiv Composer and the issue with not being able to add / edit posts and pages went away. Needless to say that is not a solution, but I have some good news. Since the conflict is between the theme’s composer vs. gutenberg, I installed a plugin called “Disable Gutenberg” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-gutenberg/) and the problem was fixed.
For what it is worth, it should not be a surprise that this happened because running multiple visual composers will break a site.
I have a problem with Newspaper and Yoast SEO. After the template update, the plugin does not detect the links, the number of words in real time, or the alt attributes of the articles. So, I request that everything can be resolved as soon as possible.
It is true that the template was updated and was something very positive, but is altering the SEO in a quite serious way. So, I’m afraid this will hurt the media I represent.

I think I have the same issue, just updated yesterday and my homepage has lost all of its formatting. I do not have a cache plugin. This started about 12 hours ago.

since the update to X the header sub menu doesn’t work with style 2 anymore. It doesn’t show a line anymore.
The header menu still works properly. And style 1 in the sub menu works fine too.

since the update to X the Next Prev Ajax button is under the block on the left site. In the earlier version, if I remember correctly, it was in the middle under the block.

i used the specific mobile content editor for mobile content (its broken)
i tried to use a tagdiv styled page for the homepage by deactivating mobile for that page. WONT WORK…
