You would have to replace them there, use the same name and format for the images or it may not work.

From what I know there is a suggestion on our list for an option in the theme to be able to set custom placeholder images, it will be considered for a future update.

You can download the theme from your themeforest account. The latest theme version will always be available for download. You can update through the Envato plugin as well if you want to, the method is described in the guide.

I provided the page content from the demo so you can use it as an example, not to use it all in your page. I meant that you simply check how the top flex grid was made, so you can recreate it on your website.

As I mentioned above simply using the same grid type as the demo is not enough to get the same result. The grid has additional customization, flex grids have many options

Then edit it with the tagDiv composer, that is the homepage from the gossip demo. You can then see how the top flex grid is customized. Most demos contain customized versions of default theme elements.

Please notice that the TD Composer is our page builder which is continuously updated and which is powerful. I recommend you to make a new install, on the localhost for example and test our page builder product. This plugin has the entire elements from Visual Composer which are better optimized for our theme. There are two page builders provided with the theme. One is the WPBakery page builder (only backend usage with our theme), the other is the tagDiv composer (frontend builder created by us specifically for this theme).

We recommend that the tagDiv composer is used to build the website. All the theme demos are built with it as well

Most of the latest updates have added new features that will be possible to use only with the tagDiv composer.

The cloud library plugin will also work only with the tagDiv composer

Our composer should be installed and activated automatically when the theme is installed. It can be used to edit pages from multiple places, for example in the admin bar (while viewing a page)

Be sure to only edit pages that have been created with it, not pages that contain content from a different page builder for example.
