Do you use the latest version of the theme with the bundled version of Visual Composer? Please make sure to this regard, remove all the untested plugins if you are using something like this, clear all your caches, purge CDN files and check the results.

The mobile theme comes with it’s own predefined template for pages, posts optimized for performance and speed and it is fully tested and working properly. I can not replicate your problem so I recomend you follow the advices suggested above and try to deactivate your plugins except Visual composer just as a test and clear your cache and purge cdn files if you use it, to see if the issue is still present. Also check any custom code you may have added to the theme panel or theme files. More information about the mobile theme here in the documentation – https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ When activated you can not use any Visual composer element, because the mobile theme does not use this editor but you can use instead the mobile editor. If you want to display the same elements from desktop on mobile you can disable the mobile theme and use the theme’s responsive design and deactivate the plugin.
Visual composer does not need to be activated, it comes preactivated in the theme package – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ and is updated with new theme releases. If none of the suggestions above produce any favorable results you can try and reinstall your theme or consider updating to the latest version – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ the theme and it’s plugins.

I did not add either author box via visual composer. In both cases, it is the author attribute based on the user section so it automatically apends to any post to which I assign that author. Is there no way to assign the author role but just not have the box automatically show at the end of the post for a given author?

Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If the issue is still there afterwards you should reinstall the theme as there could be a faulty theme install.

I do not know exactly how you are implementing this, revolution slider is used as a Visual composer element on the pages created in Visual composer. In the single post page you can display a featured image or featured video. You can find more in the documentation here – https://www.themepunch.com/revslider-doc/slider-revolution-documentation/ As for the link redirects unfortunately our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to redirect but you could use this guide about how you can create simple 301 redirects:

Also, I can’t activate my Visual Composer Plugin because it seems that I do not have any valid license for Visual Composer.
Is this causing the problem? I see that on the Visual Composer there’s an option to disable content elements from “stacking” one on top other on small media screens. But I’m not sure if that causing the menu overlap.

Unfortunately, we have not encountered this type of error and also, we do not have any bad reports in this regard, until now, sorry! I suggest you installing the theme again via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard and if you are using some untested plugins, try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.

I have checked your source page and I noticed that you are using a lot of untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins. Also, if the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. Try switching to your main theme if you are using a child theme, also disable all your plugins and leave only Visual composer active, clear cache and see if the problem is still there. Most likely this is the result of a plugin or plugin conflict, so if the problem is not there anymore enable your plugins one at a time to identify the possible cause.

From what I can see your site is not displaying properly, at the moment it is full width so you can not see the background behind it, you should try to disable all the plugins except Visual composer and make sure you use the latest version of this plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ clear the cache and purge cdn files if you use it. Here is talking about two different elements. In the first example, is an author box feature which can be added from Visual Composer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7j7LgkZPCrg and which displays all the authors and in the second example, is talking about the author box from the single post which shows only the post author.
Notice that the theme does not have any such an option for your desire, but if you want to do that, you should edit the Author Box and add what type of code you want. Notice that if you do not have solid coding skills in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom work at the moment, sorry!

I have tried many options in last 2-3 days for improving Google Pagespeed scores – main area is Minify CSS and JS and Caching. I signed-up CloudFlare free / basic plan – but i dont think it is working.
***** Part 1: Minify CSS and JS
I tried following plugins and for last 2-3 days, it is not very much succesful and most of them give FOUC on the site.
Plugins Tested:
1. Autoptimize (If enable HTML then FOUC within seconds, and cannot select any advanced options because FOUC)
I tried to select options to push CSS inline and load into the head – using the advanced options, but homepage breaks.
2. WP Roids (some issue with .htaccess – maybe because of my hosting, but give FOUC) – I have contacted the plugin author already and there is another guy which has Newspaper 7 theme having issue with this plugin.

3. WP Super Minify (i dont know if this did anything – cannot see any changes)

Building pages within Visual Composer and attempting to add category filter in blocks. We have several hundred categories as we use them for geographic areas; but, the category filter dropdown only displays about 75% of them. In reading through support entries, I saw a reference to max_input_vars default value… Our host changed the value from 3,000 to 10,000, but that didn’t resolve the problem. Any suggestions?
