Wait a minute,
You misunderstood completely.
NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO USE THE TAGDIV COMPOSER
How is adding a new feature limiting the theme functionality?
If you do not like our tagdiv composer, simply disable it and use VC as before. Visual composer will still recieve updates and still be part of the theme.
It is your choice if you want to use the new builder or not.
Thanks.
Hello Bassinbrian,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the Visual Composer 5.2. Why do you have updated this plugin? Notice that’s why you have errors with your blocks in the backend. Try to roll back to the 5.1.1 version of Visual Composer because the 5.2 version is not yet tested with the theme.
NOTE: Use only the plugin’s version which comes bundled with the theme core files!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello,
Yes, every page will have to be rebuilt no matter the number of pages you have.
As for the column layout. Visual composer as well only works properly on a 3 column layout. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
We created our builder based on our theme specific layout.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please provide more details about this issue, and some useful screenshots if possible so we can understand the problem better. Maybe a recent change has caused this to happen, an installed plugin or some customization.
You could try as a test to deactivate all your plugins except Visual composer, and clear any installed cache. Then check to see if this has any effect.
Thanks
Hi, i bough last week this theme and as you knew this plugin already in theme and licenced. There’s no problem here but when i install this plugin, my wordpress said
“Hola! Would you like to receive automatic updates and unlock premium support? Please activate your copy of Visual Composer.”
My theme already activated, but i can’t activate visual composer because when i go to activate the creator webpage said “your account don’t have licence, you need to buy licence”. What should i do now? Thanks.

Hi, just curious about pages on my site other than the homepage that I’ve created using visual composer after upgrading to v. 8 of the theme. I understand that I have to reset the homepage, which I did as a test and was actually quite easy, but what about the rest of the pages on my site? I have four or five that use visual composer; will those all need to be rebuilt as well? Unless I am missing it, there is no way to create something with more than three columns using the tagDivcomposer, which is going to be an issue for me Thanks for any clarification you can provide.
The ‘Block 6’ is being used on the frontpage with Visual Composer. Four articles are shown in here. After I’ve published one article on my Chromebook, three of them had 25 words and one of them 40. In the article published on the Chromebook, sentences also break off like described in my previous message, without any code in de text editor to make sense out of it. The frontpage setup is fully setup according to your documentation and based on one of the installed demo’s.
Hi! I notice that when I use one of the blocks in Visual Composer, the page title disappears. For example, here is a page that has no blocks…http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/connect/…the page title “Connect” is still there. But on this page, where I have used a text block, the page title has disappeared…http://e50.4da.myftpupload.com/about/. How can I KEEP the page title while still using the blocks? Thanks!
It is not a theme update, this is my first installation of your theme.
I currently use News Tube and it works just fine with Visual Composer.
I purchased Newsmag because I wanted to give the site a new feel and user experience.
Kindly help me look at this issue.
I just read your instructions here;
https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/.
When I try to create a new page, the tagDiv composer icon is no where to be found.
Please help, I purchased this theme because I want to use it on the site, previous themes don’t give us issues like this.
Hello Dmitry_Lupich,
Unfortunately, this page has to be updated because these buttons will not work, sorry! All of these was based on Visual Composer plugin which now, is an optional plugin and that’s why the shortcodes will not work. We have implemented our own page builder which is named TD Composer and we have added new tagDiv buttons which can be found in Format section, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/increase-users-engagement-add-custom-buttons-posts/ If you will use them, you will not see the shortcodes and will look better than previous ones.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi, Bogdan, thanks for your reply and the concern about the various other cases that can come afterward.
But as you said, there are a lot of things to consider to make these fully compatible. I currently am not looking for the full solution.
I only want to make it work for the single template that I use by default for most of my posts ( no smart lists, isolated templates etc. )
You have written above that:
…. and then the other one grabbed for the next post.
In case you are confusing this infinite scrolling with Auto load next post thing, the both things are totally different. We have discussed separately about auto load next post thing here- https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/need-little-help-with-most-demanded-auto-load-next-post-thing/ but this is a sperate case.
And I noticed that you guys have already helped a lot to make us be able to use the infinite scroll here- https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/implement-infinite-scroll-on-single-posts/
Everything is working already. You just need to help us stop ‘smart sidebar’ once the ‘Visual composer’ based tag for ‘infinite loading’ starts.
One look at the code of http://darnkid.com/illustrations-show-the-unique-bond-between-dads-and-daughters/ or http://www.storypick.com/success-is-the-best-revenge/ ( both using infinite scrolling with TagDiv Newspaper theme along with proper use of smart sidebar) may solve this issue.
If you don’t want to help, I will surely hire someone to do so, but since you guys have already done a lot about this ( https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/implement-infinite-scroll-on-single-posts/ ), I don’t see much point to hire someone else for just one simple ( or may be not?) part of it.
So, please reconsider this post.
PS: Has Probably Andrei L. left the TagDiv team? He has worked a lot on this under this thread -https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/implement-infinite-scroll-on-single-posts/ .
Thank you.
Hi,
Like I mentioned above, in future updates more elements and features will be added only for the tagDiv composer, not Visual composer. If you use tagDiv composer to build your pages, you will not have to rebuild them again at a later time. They will always be there and you can use them in your website.
The similarities are meant to help the transition between the two editors, once you start using tagDiv composer you will not have to build your pages again.
Thanks
Hello,
Please do not use both page builders at the same time. Please choose between one or the other but not both. We recommend the tagdiv composer as visual composer will receive no more new features. We will develop new options for our own builder exclusively in the future.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please disable the tagdiv composer plugin. Do not keep both plugins active.
Visual composer was never meant to be used on posts in the first place with our theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/
For the future we will not be adding any new features to visual composer as we will be moving over to our own page builder. And the tagdiv composer does not work on posts. Visual composer will remain as an alternative but the new cool stuff will not work with VC anymore.
Thanks.
Hello ALM2000,
Please do not panic! Notice that in our new theme update we have released the page builder TD Composer which do not properly works with the Visual Composer when both are active. For more information about how you can properly use our page builder and how you can make the transitions between this two-page builder, please check the following guides here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/ Also, please notice that our page builder has not been designed to be used for post pages but only for pages.
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
Ok,
I did a fresh re-install. active plugin: tagDiv Composer. Result of the Home Page: [vc_row full_width="stretch_row_content td-stretch-content" el_class="td-art-creek-banner" tdc_css="eyJhbGwiOnsibWFyZ2luLXRvcCI6Ii0yNDgifX0="]
To me that is Visual Builder short codes and not tagDiv shortcodes. The start with td_ imho.
So I really want to use (as a start) the Art Creek demo page. But cannot use the tagDiv composer because all short codes are VC.
If tagDiv will be the feature composer, please provide demo stuff from that particular builder.
Is there something I do wrong? Can you provide me the xml with the plain art Creek demo (tagDiv based) demo code?
Regards,
Bert
Hi Tagdiv,
With the help of a tutorial written here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/implement-infinite-scroll-on-single-posts/ and by using some common sense, I was able to apply infinite post scrolling on a single post.
Here is the step I took for this:
1. I am using TagDiv composer for the pages but to be able to use infinite scrolling on a single post, I have to enable Visual Composer for posts.
2. I wanted block-3 design and my default post type is: Style-1 so, I edited loop-single-1.php, I added the required code
Here is the code that you need to add under loop-single-1.php after <?php echo $td_mod_single->related_posts();?>
<?php $category_detail=get_the_category($td_mod_single->post->ID);//$post->ID
foreach($category_detail as $cd){ $cat_name = $cd->cat_ID; } $exclude_current_post = $td_mod_single->post->ID; echo do_shortcode('[vc_row][vc_column][td_block_3 custom_title="All LATEST STUFF" separator="" post_ids="'. -$exclude_current_post .'" category_id="' . $cat_name . '" limit="6" td_ajax_preloading="preload" ajax_pagination="infinite" ajax_pagination_infinite_stop="3" tdc_css=""][/vc_column][/vc_row]'); ?>
Though it worked properly, but I face two main issues.
1. I am using smart sidebars on each post and usually, it works great. With this infinite scrolling. I noticed that ‘The smart sidebar’ keep scrolling even above the full width infinite scrolling post blocks, and hence it overlaps.
( Here is the snapshot of overlapping – http://i.imgur.com/WCZfHcN.jpg )
How to make smart scroll stops once infinite scrolling starts? I noticed that this site ( http://www.storypick.com/short-film-affair/ ) is successfully able to use infinite scrolling and smart sidebar both. Please help me with this.
Overall, I want to to have a function like this: http://darnkid.com/illustrations-show-the-unique-bond-between-dads-and-daughters/ ( created by tagdiv user Darnkid )
2. Is there any way to have this feature without enabling visual composer for posts? Can we use TagDiv composer for this?
3. While trying for many solutions, I looked at a thread which suggested to el_class=”td-ss-row” for this. I tried using it in the above code. Well, though it stopped the overlapping of sidebar with infinite post blocks, it also disables the smart sticky property of Sidebar. What am I missing here?
Kindly help me with this.
Thank you.
Hi,
Please note that this is specified in the documentation. It is strongly not recommended to update Visual composer directly from the author, if you are not using the plugin provided with the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
When an update is released for this plugin, the new version will be tested and included in the theme package. This will ensure that everything will work properly in this matter.
This is just an unfortunate accident. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused for you and your clients.
If you decide that the theme is not suited for your needs, you can request a refund and we will approve it
– https://themeforest.net/refund_requests/new
Thank you.
Hello johndavidlugtu,
PLease notice that our Mobile Theme does not recognize the shortcodes generated from Visual Composer and all the pages created with Visual Composer will not be shown in Mobile Theme mode, sorry! This plugin has the own specific layout and was specifically created to be very fast than the Mobile Responsiveness version.
For more information about this concept, please check the following useful guide here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
The tagDiv composer needs to be active in order for the demo to display as intended. Try enabling the tagDiv composer and check how it displays then.
If you want to use Visual composer, please use the one provided in the theme package. if you have bought it, use the same version as the included one.
When an update is available for Visual composer, we will first test it and only after that bundle it with the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/visual-composer-update-21/
Also it is worth mentioning that future updates will add more options and features for the tagDiv composer exclusively, not for Visual composer.
Thanks
Hello,
We have included our own tagDiv composer in the newsmag theme so starting from version 4, the recommended page builder to be used will become tagDiv composer.
Please use this guide to transition between the 2 plugins: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
And please use this guide to learn how to use the new tagdiv composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/
We have tried to keep the block settings as close to the previous implementation as possible:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-block-settings-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please do not use both page builders at the same time as images get affected first. Please choose between one or the other but not both. We recommend the tagdiv composer as visual composer will receive no more new features. We will develop new options for our own builder exclusively.
As for the image options these are the only ones available: https://www.screencast.com/t/AfolQKhDJu
There are 2 styles added to the element.
Thank you!
Bogdan B
Hello paologalli,
You should simply download the latest theme version from Theme Forest the theme pack and there you will found the latest theme version. After you have installed the theme via FTP way you can check your theme status and check the theme version -> https://www.screencast.com/t/siAJ5y81Mf2U.
Notice that the Visual Composer was not removed, it will be in the theme packet but we have introduced our new page builder which is TD Composer which comes ready with the theme. For more information about how you can use this new page builder and how you can safely make the transition between these two plugins, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial-2/ -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
Yes, the new updated created this issue as you do not have to update the plugin directly from the plugin author. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Reverting back will not fix the pages. unfortunately by updating you may have compromise your pages and they will have to be recreated. This is the perfect time to switch to the tagdiv composer. Please do not use both page builders at the same time.
Thanks.
