Hi,
I have tried this as you are doing it – https://www.screencast.com/t/MEF5LRD1Hp8 and I was able to modify the font for the article content from the text block, in theme panel where there are a multitude of fonts available for each setting
– https://www.screencast.com/t/rCSx6dqtr with the proper result – https://www.screencast.com/t/N4Zfy6xvPWuy
Please try changing the font properties for the post page through the theme panel, because it should work as intended. If the modifications do not apply after being made, try clearing any caching installed. If you still have no result, please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache again then check to see if everything is in order.
Thanks
Hi, almost finished my website using your excellent theme. I’m very excited!
One thing I can’t seem to solve: on my homepage I used Visual Composer to build the page. I want the font color of the excerpts to be the same as the rest of the site. However, I can’t find where to change it. It’s still grey #777.
I use CSS Hero, but it won’t stick. I searched in the css files of the plugin, but can’t find where to change font color.
Could you help me out?

Hi,
I can see the Big grid is present on top of the page, but it is not displaying properly and does not contain any modules. Maybe something was damaged in the theme by this reset. Try to uninstall and remove the Visual composer plugin, the upload the latest version from the theme package – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Then edit your homepage and remove the big grid from the page structure, and add it again. Then update the page and check to see if the problem is still there. Also disable all your other plugins except Visual composer, and clear the cache installed, to rule this out as a cause. It is also good to have backups in case something unexpected happens, just to be safe.
Thanks
Hi
There was a very high load on the hosting server and the complete theme was reset.
And the visual editor was gone. only text editor was there. I cleared my cache and browser cache. The visual editor started coming but the big grid won’t come. On the home page, I had a big grid 7 for the home page.
Snapshot- http://prntscr.com/erzdca
But, on the home page, the big grid is not visible. I use W3 Total cache and few other plugins. I have revised it many times but its still not showing.
Let me know how should I resolve this…

Hi,
I do not know how are you getting these problems. Please note that Visual composer is fully supported with the Newspaper theme and we did not have any bad reports in this regard. There are no known incompatibility issues between the theme and Visual composer if used as recommended.
Conflicts can happen with other plugins, so please try and make a fresh theme install – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and then test this while having only Visual composer active, and no other plugins. Also please consider that if you are using Visual composer on posts, this is not recommended and could provide unexpected issues.
The theme has these requirements – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ and also some modifications to some parameters as mentioned here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Thanks
Hello tagDiv Team,
Thanks for the great template, I’ve been using it for a few years and I’m really happy about it. The latest updates make it even better to use. Also appreciate the tons of documentation and visual examples.
I’m currently thinking of changing my template and I was wondering if there is an option to set a maximum width for a post/page to avoid the text to be stretch on larger screen like MBP Retina (making the content difficult to read).
If I use a sidebar on a post/page there is no problem as there is already a max width set by default apparently. But if I remove the sidebar (in the option) I ended up with a very strech text.
– See example of a post with Sidebar
– See example of a page without sidebar
I know I can edit the code to set a max width directly, but I was wondering if there’s an option in the theme to do it already (so I have no worries when I update the theme). And if not it will probably be a good addition.
The main reason for me to getting rid of the sidebar is now almost 60% of my traffic is mobile and people don’t see it/use it (not to mention it will slow the the display for mobile user). Thanks for reading and have a great day!
Hello,
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
It seems your images are stuck in opacity 0. This usually happens on a js error caused by plugins or customization or other external optimization tools.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. Hello,
Ok, I see the issue now. Strange indeed. This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Hi,
Please try to disable all your plugins except Visual composer and the mobile theme plugin, clear any caching installed, and check again. The mobile theme is fully tested and it is working properly, maybe a plugin is interfering with it.
If you would like to make the website faster, it is recommended to use this caching plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ with that configuration
Also please check this available tutorial about improving page speed on your website
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thanks
Hello mkmazid,
Please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/ because there you will find how you can use the Visual Composer.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
There is no easy solution in this case. If a post has the featured category and another category assigned to it, you cannot ignore one and use the other with the current implementation and options for the related posts. What you could do is to disable the related articles on the post page, and then enable Visual composer on posts in order to create and use a block instead of this feature – https://www.screencast.com/t/gswiM6T1A Then use that blocks filtering options to display the posts you want. But Visual composer was not tested for posts and maybe it will not work properly, but you can give it a try if you want to achieve this.
Thanks

Hello herksingh,
Here is talking about block title. If you want to change these, notice that you can do it for each block when you edit it in Visual Composer, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/G9UMLDfgzKo For more information about our Blocks, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/ Also, a more useful guide for what you can use the Visual Composer can be accessed here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/
Thanks or your understanding!
Hello cipmweb,
I have inspected your source page of your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and cause a lot of unknown issues. Try to disable all of these, leave just Visual Composer to active, install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme core file and cause a lot of unknown issues. You should revert the theme to the default state, without any additional customizations and check the results. If the problem will be there after this advice, you should make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way because this is the surest method in this regard.
Thanks for your understanding!

The plugin does not have a valid header.
Downloading install package from http://gerardx.dev/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/plugins/js_composer.zip…

Hello there,
I am really thankful for are your help in the past. My site is running well now! Thanks!
Currently I am optimising my website, and I would like to change the font of my articles. I am using visual composer to type my articles in. I want to select a font and I only get like 8 options, the basic lettertypes. I would like to use the LATO lettertype but it is not possible?
How can I add this to the visual composer or is there another way? I just spent like 45 min scrolling around this forum and using the search button to find the awnser… but no.
Could you please help me?
Thank you!
Are you guys coming with more shortcodes ?. I see the theme lacks basic shortcodes and I believe more shortcodes should be added. I have reported this lot of times but till now it’s not implemented. My whole idea is to use visual composer only for building homepage, in the posts I am using tinymce editor but that doesn’t include shortcodes like buttons, style icon lists, alerts etc. Whenever I have raised a question about shortcodes, I wasn’t given proper answer at all. I was told that it is added to future update list. I don’t know when will it come but I am tired of waiting. I hope someone from support team replies with positive response.
Hi,
It seems that your website is not functioning properly at the moment. I suggest you disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear any caching installed and check to see if the issue is still there, because most of the time plugins are the cause for this. If the problem is persisting, you could reinstall the latest version of the theme and the plugins bundled in the theme package. Here is a guide to help you if you choose to update
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Thanks
Hello mikesilvia,
Please keep in mind that the Visual Composer is a built-in plugin which comes bundled with the theme core file. To be safe, make a full backup to your data and then make a new clean install with the latest version of the theme which can be downloaded from Theme Forest. Your theme updating should have to be made via FTP way because this is the surest method in this case, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/ and here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ Read more carefully our documentation and try to follow all the steps from there if you want to bring best results with your theme.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hello orlando,
If you will check our changelog you will see that the Newsmag version 3.3 is tested with only Visual Composer 5.0.1, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/YTpXG0OB8Nx7 We do not make any tests with this version of Visual Composer for v. 3.3 We will release 3.3.1 which work as expected with Visual Composer 5.1. You should test this because it is possible to work as expected.
Thanks for your understanding!
