If you Test website using online tool like pingdom (Melbourne, Australia) it show upto 7sec
on GTmetrix it shows 7sec
can you please let me know how to fix this issue

Sorry you are experiencing these issues on your website after the update, but this is not happening in our tests. The loading speed is the same. You can check the live theme demo, which is using the latest version of theme and theme plugins

The AMP plugin is still at it’s beginning, changes may be made to it. It is also optional, you can choose not to activate this plugin. Use a different plugin if you wish, or none.

Ok, thanks. I’ve used the disabled speed booster and that broke the site. It didnt like some of my other plugins.
I’ve also tried lots of different optimisation plugins that move render blocking JS.
They all have the same problem and it seems to be concerning jquery.js
When this is parsed, the website loads SUPER quick. However, the only ‘breakage’ is that my background image does not load. I seem to have a choice between a slow site with background image or a super fast site on a white background.
Do you have any suggestions how I can parse jquery.js and still have a background image?

I did that on my website website, and i believe there are many hosting services which do not provide free ssl cert. Like mine, Godaddy didn’t.
Apart from that, Cloudfare is really a need, it’s a good “Free” Cdn with additional speed boosting with rocket script.

I have never been able to use the mobile theme since inception. I get a white screen and it is posted saying “The mobile theme path couldn’t be set. Please check if you already have another mobile theme plugin active and disable it (ex. jetpack Mobile Theme or similar) If you use a cache plugin clear it before checking the results.”
I don’t have jetpack installed or any other mobile theme. I have WP Rocket and have cleared the cache numerous times.
Appreciate some help with this one. I would actually like to start using the mobile theme and speed things up.

Hello @dhapenk , the process limit is hitting because of the search bar present in the newspaper theme. I had have been that issue too, i solved it using heartbeat plugin which removed a lot of load from my hosting panel. Apart from that, use Wp-Optimize to make more space in database. Hope it helps. I have been running Newspaper on one of my websites since November and I am pretty happy with both the look and features.
In Newspaper systemstatus -> Theme Config -> Speed Booster I get the following message:
“v4.9 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: all-in-one-event-calendar”
The All-in-One Event Calendar by Time.ly does the job well, but a disabled Speed Booster does not sound good for the always need for speed. Any suggestion to a feature rich calendar that might replace All-in-One.
Would also be good to know how much impact I can expect having Speed Booster enabled will do for improving my site.

Setting Post-template to Post Template Style 5 or 12 (i prefer 12). This removes viewing your featured image in the post and reduces the load. Note: Do set a featured image, as GoogleBot will still crawl your website and will be able to fetch this image for showing in rich snippets (if applicable).
Apart from that, the users who were having trouble with http to https redirections, following code can be added to .htaccess file in your hosting cPanel:

I am trying to run a forum at my website, but there were difficulties with BBPress. Initially, i didn’t want to abandon Mobile Theme (super speed) for the sake of forum. I had previously asked questions about BBP compatibility but there were no solutions. However, i have made a simple solution: by directing new users (unlogged) to register/login page using the following code:

- Inline Related Posts (adds beautiful in-line related posts automatically by extracting from tags and categories)
- Jetpack by WordPress.com (obvious)
- Mashshare Share Buttons (kinda good, especially has ability to add fake number of shares)
- OneSignal Push Notifications (a must get app! sends notification to mobile as well desktop users that you have published a post, just get this one)
- Regenerate Thumbnails (obvious)
- Remove Query Strings From Static Resources (speeding up website)
- SumoMe (for beginners, yeah this is super one, their tutorials explain everything)
- Table of Contents Plus (adds beautful TOC in your posts automatically using headings in a hierarchy)
- WP Smush (for image optimization)
- WP Super Cache (supports Cloudfare, one reason i preferred it over w3 total cache)
- WP-Optimize (cleans database and makes your hosting cleaner)
- Yoast SEO (obvious)
Apart from that, please do add free SSL certificate by Cloudfare, and setup free CDN by Cloudfare for your website. It boosts speed you will love to see.

Apart from that, some basics you should try for your website:
1. Try installing a demo from theme panel, in your case, you should try Cooking demo- https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_recipes/ . Just have a look. You can find other demos here- https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/select_demo_newspaper .
2. Go for Free CDN by Cloudfare, that will boost speed of your website a lot and is pretty good.
3. Add SSL Certificate to your website, it will show users that your website is safe and again, is pretty neat.
4. Explore post types in theme, they are pretty good and worth exploring.

6. Basic plugins must get for WordPress- Akismet-anti spam, External Links, Jetpack, Regenerate thumbnails, WP Smush, Wp-Super Cache and Yoast ofcourse.
