Hello!
You should optimize your website and increase the page speed score as much as you can.
Please check the tutorials from Google Pagespeed Insights and I’m sure you can increase the page speed.
You should have all the needed tagdiv plugins active.
Thank you!
Hello,
My website https://supernaturalgreece.gr/ is really, really slow (>10sec to load). Many people complained to me about the problem
Two weird things are happening:
1) The site loads faster on the smartphone (different theme, so I believe it’s the Newsweek PRO Demo that creates the issue).
2) I tested my site from gtmetrix, pagespeed insights, Pingdom. The page load takes 1.3 seconds, and my score is really high.
PS: In the past 2 weeks I have 500 internal server error.
PS2: I had another prebuilt demo before Newsweek PRO, and I had no problems.
Hi Calin,
In addition to the previously reported bug with the Webp option in theme panel, I have found another bug.
Environment:
1. Theme version: 12.6.6
2. Webp format is generated by Ewww Image Optimizer as per your guide. – All images become Webp and all are lazyloaded.
4. For CWV / speed, we must disable lazyload for the first image (in the first flex or any block / logo is text). For this we use define( ‘EIO_LAZY_FOLD’, 1 ); in wp-config as per Ewww’s guide – under Exclude Images header.
5. The result is that the first image on the page converts to Web but is not lazyload – so this is correct. The Theme’s option Use Webp Format is meant to show this first image in Webp, because it exists on the server.
Issue:
The theme stops using the webp file for the first image when any caching system is on. This includes the “Cache block results” option on the block, WP super cache as per your guide.
How to test:
1. Make sure you have caching enabled – WP super cache as per your guide. Also can enable “Cache block results” on the actual block.
2. If you are logged-in, you will see a webp. If you are logged out – the theme will also be showing webp for some time, but a little later – once the cache is generated – the theme will start showing jpg (despite having webp on the server).
– I have tested this on various websites and demo sites. On the dev sites that do not have caching, there is no problems.
(!) As previously discussed, this post is only for Calin.
Other TD team members, please do not respond.
Thank you.
Hello,
1. This can be done if you are using a mobile template – https://i.imgur.com/YqXXnl3.png or mobile theme plugin, if not then the only solution will be to hide them using a css (or if is a single post template you can use the option from the image in the css tab to hide it on mobile – https://i.imgur.com/Gwm7rwu.png)
2. The best way for optimize a font will be to use for the website only that font and this to be locally stored. After that the google fonts to be disabled in the theme panel – https://i.imgur.com/slZZ3Qm.png – https://i.imgur.com/282IEQJ.png
https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/ – also you can check on each page and cloud template the fonts using the manager – https://i.imgur.com/XyqmGYp.png also you can use CDN and this provides now a new options to optimize the fonts – https://blog.cloudflare.com/cloudflare-fonts-enhancing-website-privacy-speed
3. This is because the lazy load helps the speed of the website but is creating LCP when the images starts to load. Now the options that should be used can differed from user to use, some of them prefers to use the theme option and choose this one – https://i.imgur.com/XWN5PHm.png to reduce the LCP, but if you are using a cache plugin, then you can disable the theme option for lazy load and use the one from the cache.
Thank you!
Good evening, I want to make some changes to our website, and I have some questions. It will help me a lot if you can answer me.
1. How do I disable the share buttons for mobile (I’m mainly interested in the one at the top of the article) – I still want them to remain on the desktop.
IMAGE: https://imgur.com/Dm5MNar
2. How do I optimize the fonts on the website, I use the header from a demo, single post from a demo, footer from a demo, and the loading speed of the site suffers a lot, I want to be able to change this and load only one font on the whole site, for example Roboto, and also, I want you to tell me how I can optimize these fonts, which plugin you recommend to be GDPR.
3. It’s a bit strange how web vitals sees the images, when I have lazy load enabled from the theme, google gives me a worse score in terms of LCP, if I disable lazy load, LCP looks better, but I think it’s also possible better, I want you to tell me why this is happening and how I can fix the situation.
Thank you very much, have a nice day!

Hi there,
This concerns my website wandelingen.info
I’m trying to figure out why my submenu is not opening anymore. I use WP Rocket and had great results in the past. Now my submenus are not opening anymore. It has to do with javascript execution I guess, because I ticked the box of ‘delay javascript execution’. Without ticking the box, it works fine but the speed is superslow.
When I’m logged in and I’m in tagdiv composer the submenu is opening.
Can you tell me how to solve this?
I cleared cache already.
Thanks!

Speed Optimization on Newspaper themes do not seem to be an easy task. I tried a few well-known optimization plugins and also on additional speed features given on the Newspaper theme panel. However, I could come up with a 75% Google page speed and an A+ on SEMRUSH. You can find the observations in this post, How did I manage to get an A+ performance score in SEMRUSH website speed test?. Please comment if you have a better method to optimize the settings for better speed and better performance.
Hi, i was checking page speed insights for my website electronicsforu.com. It came to my notice that there are many fonts which loads together like opensans, roboto, rubik, etc and that is hindering our performance repory. Is there any way we can optimize these fonts?
Hello!
We know that page speed is very important, and we try to optimize the theme as much as we can, so you can have a great score with less optimization than before.
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
A great solution is to use the Google PageSpeed Insights tool, so you can see exactly what you should optimize on your website.
For customization and other services, you can contact our custom work team here: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/.
@c386 Did you try to optimize your images first? Optimize Images: Compress images before uploading them to your WordPress site. You can use plugins like WP Smush or EWWW Image Optimizer to automatically optimize images without losing quality.
Thank you!
Hello!
However, page loading speed can depend on many factors, and each website is unique from this point of view.
Unfortunately, we can only help you with some advice.
Please note that page speed or optimization are not covered by the support team. https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/
Our developers are aware of this issue and try to synthesize the composer, which is big, and fix the major problems of the theme and speed.
I recommend you use fewer features on the page, so the requests will be less as well.
Improving page speed in WordPress is crucial for providing a better user experience and optimizing your website for search engine rankings. Here are some tips to help you enhance your WordPress site’s page speed:
Optimize Images: Compress images before uploading them to your WordPress site. You can use plugins like WP Smush or EWWW Image Optimizer to automatically optimize images without losing quality.
Utilize Caching: Implement caching to reduce server load and speed up page loading times. WordPress caching plugins like WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache can generate static HTML files of your pages to serve users instead of dynamically generating them each time.
Minify CSS and JavaScript: Minify your CSS and JavaScript files to remove unnecessary characters and reduce file sizes. This can be done manually or through plugins like Autoptimize or W3 Total Cache.
Enable GZIP Compression: Enable GZIP compression on your server to reduce the size of files sent from your server to users’ browsers. Most hosting providers offer GZIP compression, but you can also enable it through plugins like WP Rocket or W3 Total Cache.
Optimize Database: Regularly clean up and optimize your WordPress database to remove unnecessary data and improve performance. You can use plugins like WP-Optimize to automate this process.
Limit External Requests: Minimize the number of external requests your website makes by reducing the use of external scripts and widgets. Each external request adds overhead to your page’s loading time.
Enable Lazy Loading: Implement lazy loading for images, videos, and iframes so that they are only loaded when they are visible on the user’s screen. This can significantly reduce initial page loading times.
Optimize Server Response Time: Choose a reliable hosting provider with fast server response times. Consider using a content delivery network (CDN) to serve your content from servers closer to your users.
Regularly Update Plugins and Themes: Keep your WordPress core, plugins, and themes updated to the latest versions to ensure compatibility with the latest performance optimizations and security patches.
Ads can significantly impact the speed of your WordPress website since they often involve loading external resources and scripts. You can try to limit the number of ads, optimize ad sizes and formats, and implement lazy loading on your ads.
By following these tips, you can significantly improve the page speed of your WordPress website, leading to better user engagement, higher search engine rankings, and overall improved performance. Please check out the tips from those platforms: GTmetrix and Google Pagespeed Insights.
We will try to improve the shop part page speed issues and the JS issues in the next updates.
Thank you!

Hello,
Please inform me about the cost of page speed optimization as our website is currently facing a drop in traffic due to LCP issues. We have already witnessed a 90% decrease in our traffic and I believe that page speed optimization can help us fix this problem. Kindly let me know if you can provide this service and what would be the charges for it.
Thank you
Hi,
There are a lot of factors which can make your site slow. Make sure you use only some templates and fewer functionalities and options.
Some factors which you need to take into account are:
External factors: server speed, if you are using CDN or not, the external resources loaded by your website like ads, fonts, tracking scripts like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, Twitter analytics, Hotjar and so on.
Internal factors: the number of elements on the page, image size, image formats, if you are using mobile optimized layouts, console errors, if you are using the Standard Pack plugin or not, if you are using the PRO demo or a standard one.
Also, installing a demo doesn’t guarantee that you’ll achieve the same page speed as tested on our demos. You’ll need to perform optimizations. You can use caching plugins like Super Cache or the premium WP Rocket.

Hello,
I’ve analyzed your website and noticed many ad scripts https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-mecanicaonline-com-br/tl3om9q70l?form_factor=desktop, so you need to use a plugin to optimize and reduce resources for this, like WP Rocket. Additionally, I’ve seen that you need to optimize your images.

I am reaching out to address a few issues I’ve encountered on my website, which is hosted on a LiteSpeed server. Your assistance in resolving these matters would be greatly appreciated.
City Logo Overlap on News Headings:
Issue Description: The city logo overlaps with the news headings when viewed on a laptop screen at 100% zoom. However, the display appears normal on a 24-inch screen.
Desired Outcome: I would like to resolve the overlap issue so that the logo and news headings are displayed correctly across all screen sizes, particularly on laptop screens at 100% zoom.
Permanent Chinese Language Option After Exploring Translation:
Issue Description: After exploring translation features on my website, the Chinese language now appears permanently as an option for users. This was not intended to be a permanent feature.
Desired Outcome: I would like to completely remove the translation feature from my website, ensuring that the Chinese language option no longer appears to users.
AMP Site Scan Failure:
Issue Description: When attempting to run a scan for AMP, I encounter an error message stating, “Site scan failed. Try again.” This issue persists despite multiple attempts.
Additional Context: It’s important to note that my website is hosted on a LiteSpeed server, and switching to Nginx or Apache servers is not an option for me.
Desired Outcome: I seek guidance on resolving the AMP site scan failure to ensure the site is fully compatible with AMP standards without encountering scan errors.
Displaying News Opinions from Another Category on the Main Page:
Issue Description: I am trying to add news opinions from a specific category to display on the main page, but they are not showing up as expected.
Desired Outcome: I need assistance in correctly configuring the website to display news opinions from the specified category on the main page, ensuring they are visible to visitors.
Hello!
We’ve discussed this issue here:
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/sql-querys-high-cpu/
The tagdiv composer is the main plugin of the theme and contains a lot of features and multiple options in order to customize your website. Without it, the cloud templates are not displaying at all. I recommend using fewer features: https://forum.tagdiv.com/what-is-ajax-preloading/ and try to optimize your website. Please make sure that all the requirements are met, as you can see here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
I also recommend to use the latest update of the theme and plugins.
Our developers are aware of this issue and try to synthesize the composer in each update, which is big, and fix the major problems of the theme and speed.
Thank you!
There’s a lots of request made to the SQL Database requested at the same time thus rate limiting issue is happening on the site.
WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT post_id, meta_value FROM 3cEugTXx_postmeta WHERE meta_key = ‘_wp_attached_file’ AND meta_value = ‘https://noticiasnrt.mystagingwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/BackS-300×169-1.png’ made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-includes/template-loader.php’), do_action(‘template_redirect’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, cnfp_template_redirect, include(‘/plugins/colorlib-404-customizer/includes/colorlib-template.php’), get_header, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘/themes/Newspaper/header.php’), do_action(‘tdc_header’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, {closure}, require_once(‘/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/header.php’), wp_head, do_action(‘wp_head’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, td_background->wp_head_hook_background_logic, attachment_url_to_postid
WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT post_id, meta_value FROM 3cEugTXx_postmeta WHERE meta_key = ‘_wp_attached_file’ AND meta_value = ‘https://noticiasnrt.mystagingwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/BackS-300×169-1.png’ made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-includes/template-loader.php’), include(‘/plugins/td-cloud-library/wp_templates/tdb_view_single.php’), get_header, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘/themes/Newspaper/header.php’), do_action(‘tdc_header’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, {closure}, require_once(‘/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/header.php’), wp_head, do_action(‘wp_head’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, td_background->wp_head_hook_background_logic, attachment_url_to_postid
One thing we’ve identified is that the Newspaper theme is making some very lengthy and expensive database queries that slow down page loads and may be contributing to elevated SQL CPU usage.
For example, on the homepage the Newspaper theme runs the following code.
require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), require_once(‘wp-includes/template-loader.php’), include(‘/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/page.php’), get_header, locate_template, load_template, require_once(‘/themes/Newspaper/header.php’), do_action(‘tdc_header’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, {closure}, require_once(‘/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/header.php’), wp_head, do_action(‘wp_head’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, td_background->wp_head_hook_background_logic, attachment_url_to_postid
Which also executes the following query.
SELECT post_id, meta_value FROM 3cEugTXx_postmeta WHERE meta_key = ‘_wp_attached_file’ AND meta_value = ‘https://noticiasnrt.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/BackS-300×169-1.png’
This is a very expensive and lengthy query, especially on a site of this size.
In some cases, it might take over 2 seconds for that code and query to complete because it is not optimized and likely doesn’t have database indexes that would help speed it up.
it seems that the problem originates from the td-composer plugin. Would it be alright if I deactivate it temporarily?

Hello @Alex,
If you use ads, it’s your own choice, which is unrelated to the theme. Yes, we have several demos with good scores, and they are optimized, but it’s still recommended to make configurations and necessary optimizations regardless of which prebuilt website you use.
INP is related to mouse clicks, taps, and key presses. Now, if you have pop-ups with ads, it’s your choice. As I’ve mentioned before, you need to make the necessary optimizations regardless of which prebuilt website or theme you use https://i.imgur.com/z9rLkxK.png
Another very important aspect is that we offer support, even if you haven’t extended the support, and we try to help, and even page speed is not covered by the support team.
Thank you!
Hello,
I recently installed Newspaper theme on my site, https://converseer.com, however, there is a lot of CLS happening on the site and I need to fix it – https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-converseer-com/cakysj730l?form_factor=mobile.
This link has a good video here that shows the CLS happening. https://www.debugbear.com/test/website-speed/3zGTB74A/overview?metric=cumulativeLayoutShift#video-recording.
Please, I need help resolving the CLS.
