Hello,
Please provide a link to your site so we can inspect it.
Thank you!
Hello
Please also check the theme panel feature if you only disabled the modal image from the image itself: https://www.screencast.com/t/g7b1rpLRzz This will activate the modal iamge globally for every image so it will need to be disabled.
Thank you!
Please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate if you already made all the debugging steps.
Thank you!
Hello,
It depends if you use the mobile theme or not. If you use the mobile theme you have to use the second editor present in your page edit screen. Please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/mobile+theme/
Thank you!
Hello,
If you filter multiple different categories but also have common categories in your blocks, then it’s best to use this option:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
Thank you!
Try to add it like so:
.menu-td-demo-header-menu-container .sf-menu .sf-with-ul {
padding-right: 20px;
min-width: 1px;
}
Css needs some very specific selectors in some cases 🙂
Thank you!
Hello,
Sure,
Please add this cs to your theme panel-> custom css box:
.td_smart_list_4 .td-sml-current-item-nr{
display:none
}
.td_smart_list_4 .td-sml-current-item-title{
Padding-left:0
}
Thank you!
Hello,
This is strange, we have no reports of such issue.
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you use visual composer, please disable the tagdiv composer as having both active will cause layout issues.
If the problem is still there without the tagdiv composer, please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello,
The titles you mention are block titles. The block titles can be changed only by editing the page in the page builder and changing the title using the block settings:
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Thank you!
Hello,
@SonjaTod
Please check your theme panel and the ads section. Is there an ad in the header ad spot?
Check the logo and the footer section in the theme panel.
Maybe the update was not done properly. Please use this guide and update your theme again: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
@l2c
Your problem is different. You mentioned your desktop shows the mobile version. How is that similar to not showing ads and the footer?
Thank you!
Hello,
The only fonts available in our theme are presented in the theme panel under the fonts you can choose from. The question why is not relevant because the decision to add a font or not has been taken by the decisional party and asking why is like asking why our theme is named ‘newspaper’ and not anything else. It was a decision that was taken at some point in time.
If you need a font that is not part of the theme fonts, your best option is to use this method: https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
The main logo of our demo site is a gif: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/logo-header.gif
So it is possible, yes. Simply upload it into your media library.
Thank you!
Hello,
This seems the theme was not installed properly.
Please use this guide to properly install it via ftp and follow each step properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
If the install was done properly, there should not be any error. If there is one, please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it.
Also try to resave permalinks and uninstall and install the theme demo again.
Thank you!
Hello,
Not every site has pages instead of posts. A news site uses posts and categories to show content, not pages. Our theme addresses the news segment so normally posts and categories are required for news websites.
Pages will not have sub-menus in a mega menu. The mobvile menu does not show the mega menu.
@4kfilme if you need a separate menu for mobile devices, there is an option for this if you use the mobile theme plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thank you!
Hello,
Please add this code in your theme panel-> custom css box:
.td-post-share-title{
display:none;
}
.td-post-sharing-bottom{
border:none;
padding:0!important;
}
Thank you!
Hello,
The category title can be increased or decreased from the fonts settings here: https://www.screencast.com/t/wnlOw605AsPQ
Thank you!
Hi,
Sorry but there is no simple way to change it. The function that creates the pagination can be found here: https://www.screencast.com/t/LXrpCoWBJ
You will need coding skills to change the permalink structure though.
Thanks.
Hello,
Our theme elements were designed to work with posts, not articles. When changing post types, please note that the theme elements will not recognize them by default. The theme modules and blocks can show another post type as I suspect you already figured out (using the post type field in block settings) but the mega menu cannot accommodate other post types than the standard “post” post type.
Thank you!
Hello,
1. Sorry but the tagdiv composer does not have a like button. You can add a social counter block but a like button in our theme is only available for the post sharing options not on pages.
2. The post id can be seen in the back-end: https://www.screencast.com/t/ZsG61hcn
Alternatively, you can use a plugin that will show the ID in the listing of posts.
Thank you!
Hello,
It seems you have a 301 redirect on the author links: https://www.screencast.com/t/Hr7mh2BH
Thank you!
Hello,
We know of 3 possible causes for this issue.
1) The wp super cache setting to cache page. Please only use these settings in wp super cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
If you use any other cache plugin, make sure you do not cache pages for known users or for logged in users depending on the plugin setting.
2) Do not use this setting in seo by yoast: https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh
3) Editing a page that was previously built with another page builder.
You need to edit the page with the builder it was initially created with. Do not edit a page with tagdiv composer if it was not originally built with it. If you created your page in visual composer and then switched to our own page builder, you will have to re-create that page
Please test this on a brand new page with no existing content.
Thanks
Hello,
You can use the code that works and ignore the suggestion or add another class to your code so it becomes more specific.
Thank you!
The documentation is made out of simple posts with a left sidebar and the menu you see is a custom implementation.
Thank you!
Hello,
Yes, you can as testing platforms are allowed with the same key.
Thank you!
