Hello Adelle,
You can always replace the plugin that causes issues. Plugins are not unique. There are a number of plugins out there that do the same thing as the other one.
Please disable all plugins except visual composer and clear your cache.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately the plugin is not tested with our theme so we cannot say for sure if it will work 100% or not. If it creates problems, you can maybe use another plugin that might not create issues with our theme. i cannot unfortunately recommend any as they are not tested.
Thank you!
Hello,
If the important made it apply, then it should not affect any other parts of the website. It is safe to use it with important.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately we cannot provide custom code for site width. It breasks the layout as i explained above so you will have to do it on your own risk. If you cannot manage to do it, you will need to hire a freelancer to help you out on this one. You can hire one from studio.envato.com
Thank you!
Hello,
This is a default behavior of WordPress. It is not controlled by the theme. It only adds a number to the title like so: http://screencast.com/t/cTqjRRWMpmpj You will see it displays like this on a WP default theme as well.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately i cannot see the issue on my end: http://screencast.com/t/LCoN2eLhYWb Please clear your browser cache as it may be a local issue. Please test your website on a different machines and different browsers to see the result. I tested this on all 3 browsers IE, Chrome and Firefox and it displays properly on all 3.
Thank you!
Hello,
You do not need to use css to change the header menu font family and weight as there are options for it in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/7SSenCl0MR9 and the bold font weight will be the same for the menu and the sticky menu if you set the font from the panel.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately we have no solution for this either. We have not tested any kind of rss feeds with our theme as there is no option for it in the theme. People usually use plugins for feeds. If you want to tie in your code with the theme modules you will have to edit these files: http://screencast.com/t/HpWhMgn8JH4 and this one: http://screencast.com/t/cbOo60Tjq9
Other than this, we cannot provide any help as custom code implementation falls beyond what support can offer you.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello,
Unfortunately we have no code to offer as we cannot see the issue. It could have been a temporary glitch or a cache issue. Please update your browser and clear the browser cache. Also test this issue on different machines to see if the problem is not local.
Thank you!
Hi,
This is a very strange issue. We have no reports of this yet. Please try your ad spots with a simple image ad and test to see if they still produce a white space. We cannot recreate this issue on our end.
Try to use this ad for testing:
<div class="td-all-devices"><a href="#"><img src="http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/rec300.jpg"/></a></div>
Let us know if you have problems with this ad as well.
Thank you!

Hello,
i have checked your website and saw the thumbnail issues. This is not a big issue. You simply need to check your wp thumbnail and make sure it is set to deafult: 150×150: http://screencast.com/t/oVnoVXv7Cma and then simply use the ‘force regenerate’ plugin to regenerate your thumbnails.
If there are any other problems I missed, please let us know.
Thank you!
Hello,
Thank you for purchasing our theme.
1) The ‘archives’ text can be removed by using a plugin called SEO YOAST.(not controlled by the theme)
2) You can insert a search field in pages or posts but not on a category page. The theme does not have such an option unfortunately. You can implement it but it will require customization of the theme files.
3)In order to increase your page speed, you will need to do a little reading yourselves. You can follow this guide to help you out: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/
Thank you for your message.
Hi,
You can replace the theme comment with the facebook comments by following this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-change-default-comment-to-fb-comment/
But this applies for the facebook comments. I’m not sure it will apply to facebook likes.
Thank you!
Hello Dominik,
Actually I checked only on chrome not IE. I have now tested this on all 3 browsers and it seems my results are a bit different. Chrome ok, IE ok but firefox does not display the title. On another pc I tested this, the ad title was visible on all 3 so probably this is a cache related issue. Please clear your cache and also purge cdn and let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hi,
You can read more about the option here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
The option does not randomize posts. It keeps the filtering option you set. If you filter your blocks to show latest posts, they will be displayed in order from recent to old and the other block will simply offset the posts shown in the previous one.
I hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
A tagdiv gallery needs the lightbox option to work properly. You removed the lightbox so this happens. If you want the gallery to work you need to have the lightbox. This is why it’s not a good idea to remove parts of the code as it will break other elements on your website.
Thank you!
Hello,
This issue is caused by the photon feature of jetpack. The photon feature is known to cause issues with our theme so please disable it.
If you are not using photon then please try to disable all plugins except visual composer and clear cache. If the problem goes away then you need to figure out which plugin is causing this issue.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can use this custom css:
.td-social-linkedin{
background-image: url("https://static.licdn.com/scds/common/u/img/icon/apple-touch-icon.png");
background-size: 100%;
}
What id does is grab an image from an url and sets it as a background image for the button. Right now it’s grabbing one I found on google, but you could change it to an image from your server (which is recommended) simply grab or create an image in ms paint or photoshop (just the letters ‘in’ on a blue background will not be a hard image to create) and upload it to your server and change the path in the css.

I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin and also provide access for google search on our email address so we can inspect the issue.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can add a description for every category from here: http://screencast.com/t/v18KjVce2
If you want a line of text above the title, you can add it by editing the theme files: http://screencast.com/t/LxXw65Mq7XR
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately we cannot test your site in the console search tool as we need access to do it, but if the hentry data returns errors, it is probably because of the disable of the post date and author. Please try to enable the dates and authors on posts and check again to see if the errors are still there.
If the errors are still there please provide access to our email address: contact@tagdiv.com so we can analyze your website and inspect these errors.
Let us know how it goes.
Hello,
It is probably a caching issue. Please clear your cache and please also test it on other devices to see if the problem reappears.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you!
Hello,
1) Unfortunately if you have custom modifications made to the code/theme files, this will be lost in the process. Other settings that were not hard-coded are kept in the database so they will not be lost.
2) We cannot offer any freelance services at the moment nor can we recommend any good developers. We usually recommend freelancers from envato: (studio.envato.com)
3) You can use a child theme if you plan on making custom modifications. That will save you the customization for a few updates. Unfortunately if the file you modify will be changed in an update, you will have to remake your customization. We recommend keeping track of your modifications and backing them up in a separate file so if you need to remake them , you can simply copy the code over.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately this issue was caused by wordpress 4.4.1 There is a fix for it but I’m afraid it will not work on Newspaper 4. Please update your theme to the latest version following this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ so you can benefit from the new features of newspaper and also the fixes for any incompatibility issues.
Thank you!
Hello,
If you have a version of newspaper later than 6.5 then you can use the post id setting from here: http://screencast.com/t/T9RLtw7h4hyn and you can select the posts you want displayed based on the post id. You can get the post id from here: http://screencast.com/t/whrNQgzd7pT
Thank you!
