Hello,
We know about this issue, it’s on our list of future fixes. Until then, you can use this custom css to fix the tabs:
.epyt-gallery iframe{
height:100%!important;
}
Thank you!
Hello,
The function Lucian has provided for version 4 will not work anymore on the current version because now there already is a category tag on modules function. The tags can be activated here: http://screencast.com/t/nwBCcCgfj3tY so you can select on which module you want the category to be displayed: http://screencast.com/t/TUjZbaR1
If you want to assign color to them, you can replicate this from the post category tag color: http://screencast.com/t/tJTHqIeBRSB – http://screencast.com/t/gct7mUgA6HFy
I hope this helps
Thanks.
Hello,
You can follow this tutorial in order to reduce size and requests: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Our demo also uses our speedbooster plugin that you can also use, but keep in mind that it has a plugin compatibility function so that it only works with certain plugins: http://screencast.com/t/hcjLnOqh4i2
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can try one more thing. The name of the sidebar should not have spaces or any other character than conventional (Latin) letters. We encountered this issue before, and special characters used in the sidebar title or the widgets titles can cause them to crash.
If this does not do it, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials so we can take a look. Please also paste a link to this topic so we know who you are and what the problem is.
Thank you!
Hello,
You can use an alternative method to add your code to the sidebar. I see it’s just html and css. You can add html directly inside a text box in the sidebar and create a simple div-based content and assign custom classes so you can target them with css afterwards.:
<div class="custom_widget">
<p>Want the latest articles in your mailbox weekly? Subscribe below!</p>
<div class="custom_widget_form">[mc4wp_form]</div>
<p>We respect your privacy 100%. We don't spam. Ever!</p>
</div>
An then simply create your custom css and add it in the theme panel->custom css box.
We use a chrome extension called live css to create our css code and then move it to the theme panel.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure your images are big enough to fit the container. You will have to upload bigger images and with an aspect ratio according to the block you wish your image to be displayed in. For example a big grid 1 uses a thumbnail of 534 X 462. If your image has any dimension smaller than this one, your image will not fit inside the big grid and it will display a grey strip to fill the container. You can also try a plugin if you want to stretch your thumbnails called thumbnail upscale.
If this is not what you mean, please provide more details so we can better understand the problem.
Thank you!
Hello,
Usually when a problem occurs with a feature it either works on all posts or it does not work at all. Please clear your cache and disable all plugins except visual composer and see if the views increment.
You can set your post view manually from custom fields: http://screencast.com/t/ZpJRhVfimTa
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try to disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and purge CDN files if you use it.
Let us know if the problem is still there afterwards.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please try to clear your cache and purge your CDN files if you use it. Normally our blocks were not meant to support sticky posts. If you have made any modification to the code, please remove that also.
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hello,
You can use css to adjust it’s position if the plugin does not have positioning options.
.wpmchimpa-overlay-bg #wpmchimpa-main {
left: 82%!important;
}
result: http://screencast.com/t/Y1lhuPae81
thank you!
Hello,
If you follow the link i provided and make the update it will not destroy your site :). Just use this tutorial https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ and follow the steps provided. We did try to maintain compatibility as much as we could. Only a few elements will require a setting refresh.
You can find the full changelog here: http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
Unfortunately we cannot do the update for you, we can only guide you if problems occur.
Best of luck
Thanks.
Hello,
The recommended version of visual composer is the one that comes with the theme and can be installed from the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/9jz0TaSmO6
Please only use this version and not other ones as they can create problems.
The post template problem comes from the update from version 4 of the theme. New post templates were added and this made the existing ones switch to another post template with the same number as the one in version 4. In order to reset your posts to the global default you can follow this topic here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/change-style-of-multiple-posts-at-once/
Thank you!
Hello,
We have no reports of the theme not working properly by default on iOS 9. Please provide a link to your website via email at contact@tagdiv.com and please also paste a link to this topic so we know who you are and what the problem is.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please make sure you use the right version of the code for it. Follow this guide to get it done: https://gtmetrix.com/add-expires-headers.html There are lots of topics on this subject and all have different versions of it. Make sure you clear your cache after adding the code (The clearing of the cache is recommended after every modification to htaccess).
If you still have problems afterwards please also contact your hosting provider to rule out server configuration.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately the theme has no option to delete unused thumbs. You can chose which thumb will be generated by the theme here: http://screencast.com/t/bj4h3mW9cgBw, but this does not delete already generated ones. There are 2 ways you can do this. After you select which thumbs you need from the theme panel, either access your files via ftp and manually delete unused thumbs (or all of them and regenerate again), or you can try to use the force regenerate plugin which will also delete the existing thumbs before replacing them with the new ones.
Let us know how it goes
Thank you!
Hello,
You can try to do a fresh install of the theme via ftp. Your articles will not be lost because they are stored in the database. Delete your current theme folder and add the new one. https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Make sure you do a back-up first.
(the error comes from the update script used to update from version 4 to version 6. You do not need this script if you already have version 6)
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you!
Hello,
The problem originates from the number of posts you set to your block. It uses 3 columns so if 10 posts are set, it cannot align the 10 posts on a 3 column layout. 9 would be the best choice here. 10 or 11 will create a blank spot. It needs a x3 multiplier (3/6/9/12…etc) to display posts in every spot.
In any other column layout you would have this problem either it’s a 2 column or 3 column, if you do not set a post number according to the layout.
(The second page happens to have left exactly the number of posts required to fill the columns.)
You can edit a block to set the number of posts from block settings: http://screencast.com/t/7IQuNK1vi
You can also limit the latest articles on the homepage: http://screencast.com/t/uJc05fnQ5cp
I hope this helps
Thanks.
Hello,
The inconsistency comes from the method used to add the image to the content. If added with the add media button the image gets added as a link with a specific class (It changes the thumbnail and positions the image to maintain consistency with position and size of the images.): http://screencast.com/t/hfDwSzJgnp (first image is added with the media button and the second via code) the one you place as a simple image does not get this class or a link if you do not add them manually.
The style set to smart list 7 is with the image below the text. The solution to your problem is to just use one of the methods to add your images.
I hope this helps.
Thank you!
Hello,
You will have the same result if your title exceeds the limit you set in the theme panel: http://screencast.com/t/3CJkxpt6jjma (by default there are 25 words) (this is for version 6+)
If you want to change this behaviour, you can edit the theme files
The title dots can be found in the code here: http://screencast.com/t/LcJkjuuKj
You can remove or change them to your preference.
If this does not help, please provide more details to how would you like to change these dots and the theme version you use.
Thank you!
Hi,
I understand now. If you just want to hide the header ad on the homepage, you can use css to do it:
.home .td-g-rec-id-header{
display:none!important
}
Just place the code in the custom css box in the theme panel.
If you want to remove the ad on other pages as well, you can use the same code again, only change the .home class to the ‘page id’ class. You can get the page id number using your browser inspector: http://screencast.com/t/XRgXQokTB9
For the example page from the screenshot, the ‘page id’ class is page-id-41 so we will use the code like so:
.page-id-41 .td-g-rec-id-header{
display:none!important
}
I hope this helps
Thanks.
Hi,
You can find the code in this file here: http://screencast.com/t/iw62cUl7qp. You can add a class to the div and then use a custom javascript code to achieve your goal.
Thanks.

Hi,
You can maybe use this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/enhanced-admin-bar-with-codex-search/
It allows adding a custom menu to your admin bar:

Hi,
Glad the footer issue worked out.
You can add a custom ad on a specific page using shortcode for custom ad in post editor html like this:
1. Ad the code in Theme Panel > Ads > Custom Ad 1: http://screencast.com/t/IvOSIpRV
2. Use the shortcode for custom ad 1 in page editor html: http://screencast.com/t/kTPx0Hxl9G72
This add will appear only on that page.
Thanks!
Hello Anand,
You can use this custom CSS to remove the search form:
.search-results .search-page-search-wrap form{
display:none
}
.search-results .search-page-search-wrap {
margin: 20px 0 40px 0!important;
}
In order to change the text shown you can do it from the theme panel-translations: http://screencast.com/t/w1IvGMUv
Thank you!
Hello,
Please add this code to the other one:
.td_module_mx3 .td-module-meta-info{
display:block!important;
}
The code i gave you above for block 13 was for the 2 columns version. Adding this one should fix the sidebar version as well.
Result: http://screencast.com/t/zze9enxe
Thanks.
