Please make sure that this type of issue does not come from your untested plugins. Try to disable all of them, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme and rule out any conflicting plugins. The theme is fully compatible with our tested plugins and we have not encountered any issue in this regard. If the problem is still there, please try to make a new clean install from scratch only with the required plugins and check the results. You should use the FTP method for installing your theme because this is the surest way in this regard. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme (Newsmag 3.2) and also, the latest version of required plugins which come bundled with the theme packet (Visual Composer 4.12.1, Social Counter 4.1). Please notice that our theme will be switched in boxed mode if you will add a background image and that’s why the Footer and the Header are not be displayed in full width. Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you a way to change this behaviour from the panel, but you can do that using a bit of CSS code. You do not need to activate your copy of Visual Composer as it’s a free version bundled with the theme that does not require any activation.
