If you want to change this, you have to alter the code from td_page_generator.php but please notice that is not a simple task and is required to have a solid knowledge of PHP/HTML to accomplish that. Unfortunately, this kind of plugin is not tested with our theme and we have no idea about the behaviour of the theme with this plugin. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. It is possible that this plugin to interfere with the theme and cause this kind of issue for your backend and in this case you have to disable and try to find another alternative in this case.

You can enable the Visual Composer frontend editor by removing this code from theme’s functions – http://screencast.com/t/1N4LB7WhP2jR but unfortunately, will not work properly if you have tag div blocks on the page.

This problem was caused by the Word Press update that broke our category pagination. This issue was fixed in the latest update and now work as properly. Please notice that you are using the latest version of Word Press and not the latest version of our Theme. (you are using Newspaper 6.0). As a hint, you can take a look over this topic, here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pagination-not-working-when-big-grid-not-used/ but I cannot say for sure that this workaround will work 100% for you. Please assume that you are not using the latest version of our theme and all improvements and bug fixes we will solve only for the latest version and for older versions we no longer test them.
If this will not work for you, the single way is to update the theme to the latest version (6.7) or you can try with an older version of WordPress.

Please take a look over the below explanation and try to understand a bit how it work the thumbs in the theme. Please check here ->>
Our theme uses the system of cropping from center to top. The theme uses thumbs to reduce the page size and speed up page loading time. From each image uploaded are generated thumbs for each thumb size used by the theme. Basically, when a post it’s displayed on the page in a block, the featured image displayed is not the one which you uploaded in the media file, it’s a thumb cropped from the original image at the precise dimension. To change the picture orientation most likely you will need a different cropping system. We use a WordPress function – add_image_size() – you can read about it here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size – and here – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
Our theme crop (cut) thumbnails in some cases to avoid creating a lot of thumbnails in order to reduce to load more spaces on the server.
If you don’t have the possibility to upload large images you could use a combination of plugins to upscale the thumbs – Thumbnail Upscale and Force Regenerate. For more information about these kinds of plugins, please consult their documentation here -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/thumbnail-upscale/ -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ Also, please ensure that the functionalities of these plugins are not affected by the other untested plugins that could create interference through the theme. I have checked your website and source page and I noticed that you are using a lot of untested plugins which could interact with the theme and create a lot of unknown issues. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer to active, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. After this, you should try to install your plugins one by one and check what is the culprit that cause this design issue and try to find an alternative and replace this plugin with another one which has the same functionality and implement in your theme and check how it work for you.

If you want to achieve as you wish, as a hint, you should not use the smart list, only you can use the post with pagination and that’s all.

In principle, you need to do a custom template that supports this kind of pagination with this plugin because our templates do not support this.
