Our theme uses a lot of predefined thumbnails in blocks and modules. If you check the Theme panel->Block settings area you can see the list with all dimensions of the thumbs wich is used in the theme and which elements -> blocks/modules uses -> http://screencast.com/t/tQuimSer9 If you want to exclude the cropping system wich you have to use the right dimension for your images.

Our theme uses the system of cropping from center to top. The theme uses thumbs to reduce the page size and speed up page loading time. From each image uploaded are generated thumbs for each thumb size used by the theme. Basically, when a post it’s displayed on the page in a block, the featured image displayed is not the one which you uploaded in the media file, it’s a thumb cropped from the original image at the precise dimension. To change the picture orientation most likely you will need a different cropping system. We use a WordPress function – add_image_size() – you can read about it here – https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size – and here – http://www.davidtan.org/wordpress-hard-crop-vs-soft-crop-difference-comparison-example/
Our theme crop (cut) thumbnails in some cases to avoid creating a lot of thumbnails in order to reduce to load more spaces on the server.
If you don’t have the possibility to upload large images you could use a combination of plugins to upscale the thumbs – Thumbnail Upscale and Force Regenerate.

Also, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache and install only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins.

Please notice that the background image it is always there but when you shrink the screen up to our fix width 1068 px. Also, please notice that the principal container has always the white color and the background-image no longer notice. In this case, you have to use a bit of CSS code to do it transparent using the code below.

1) Unfortunately, we do not have our demo to be available for simply downloading. When you instal it from the panel, the demo will be imported from our server. 3)Unfortunately, I cannot recreate your case and I do not know where it appeared that ad on the featured image. Please provide the link with this problem so I will be able to further inspect it.

Please ensure these problems do not come from your conflict between your untested plugins and our theme. I suspect this strange behaviour of the theme that might be caused by interference between your untested plugins and our theme. Please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all cache, purge CDN file if you used and instal only the plugins that come bundled with our theme and rule out the conflicting plugins. The background is tested with our theme by default and works as expected.

If you have issues with php.ini, please contact your hosting provider and let them know what you are trying to do so they can point you to the correct file. Also, please do not use symbols (!@#$%^&*) for title of the widgets because it seems that affect the functionality of the sidebar.

Please keep in mind that the offset that you are set it from Visual Composer is totally different than Category Grid. The offset for Category Grid is set it by default by the theme and you have no control over this and what you say it is not possible, maybe you make confusion between them. I have checked your fatal error description and saw that you are using version 6.2 (v62) of our theme. Please try to update to the latest version of the theme. Before doing that, please make a full backup of your current installation – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups and then do a clean update, meaning that we recommend that you delete the old version of the theme before uploading the new one – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ update also the plugins that come bundled with the theme files from the /plugins folder. After your update, check again and see if your error appears and let us know if it persists.

Please notice that the Jetpack are the complex plugins and not all modules are works fine with our theme. For example, the jetpack photon feature can cause some issues and while the theme works based on the same system – creates and serves/uses thumbnails for each uploaded image. We have some reports that the jetpack photon feature caused some issues and we recommend to disable it. If you want to develop this plugin for better result with our theme, you have to hire a freelancer/developer to do this for you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!

Jetpack plugins are recommended for Tiled Gallery and the Carousel so if you don’t use this features I suggest to not use it – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-a-gallery/ Also the theme is already responsive so the feature mobile theme from jetpack need to be disabled: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-mobile-theme/ This plugin has a lot of features but also it affect the speed of your site.

Please do not confuse the Theme panel with Visual Composer.
