You need to deactivate all non theme plugins, after that clear all cache and check if the theme is working correctly, after that you need to activate the plugins one by one, clear the cache after each one and check the results until you identify the plugins that provide conflicts with Newspaper theme.

If the cache plugin is set like in our documentation and you are not using others plugins for cache, please contact your host and ask if you have set a cache on your host, if you have, deactivate the cache from host.
Also please check if you do not have some settings in WordPress for cache.

If you do not made any changes in theme files, then all your settings will not be lost, all the settings made in theme panel or post/pages/templates are save in database, for update please check our documentation for: How to Update the Newspaper Theme for WordPress -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/

If I understand correctly, you want to edit the page template to show a certain sidebar on events page; in order to edit a page template you need to go in -> wp-content/themes/Newspaper/page-pagebuilder-latest.php

If the problem is still there, please delete( delete the theme plugins too, do not override ) the current version of Newspaper that you have and download again from themefores the newspaper and reinstall it.

Yes, the sidebar will be automatic set on default -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/ if the Authors do not change the sidebar.
If you are using the single post template, then this need to be set in theme panel as global -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/default-post-templates/ and will be set automatic when you crate a post.

Is look like this problem appear on a plugin that you are using, the theme do not have control over the links that your plugin make in articles, unfortunately the only plugin that we have tested are on this list -> https://www.screencast.com/t/cmPkh9jba4sZ and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, sorry! Also, we cannot provide support for untested plugins.

If you deactivate that plugin this problem should disappear!

You can not set the content crate with builders in mobile editor, you need to create a new content using only the elements from mobile editor, or if you want to have the responsive version of Newspaper theme you can deactivate the mobile theme.

Indeed, the empty page template has been removed, now you can remove the header per page, using the header manager. An option will be added for the footer. If you require it, you can download it from here – http://cdn.tagdiv.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/page-empty.zip

Place it in the main theme folder, upload it by FTP for example

Then select it for the pages you want. The footer will be removed and the header can be disabled
