Please see if your widgets are not set in inactive widgets.
Is possible that during the update the theme to be disable and then the sidebar widgets will lose the position. Usually when you are using widgets is better to use the manually update, the option B from here -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
Also if you do not have a theme backup to restore, then are less chances to get theme back.

Also please make sure that you use a ssl to have https.

Please make sure that you do not have any conflict plugins, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins (theme plugins), also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

This problem appeasers after the theme was updated using the automatic theme option? if yes, please make a test using the manual theme update like the one from our guide -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
If there are no changes in theme files, the using the manual update should look in the same way as before update.

There were reported some problem like this one, but until now all were solved by cleaning the cache and purge the cdn and check the plugins to make sure that there is no plugin conflict.
