On our side both your keys are assigned to the same website. And the website doesn’t seem to load -> https://prnt.sc/mGHKCWlfAH3V
When the website is back online, if there are still issues with the key, I can check directly on the website to try and find the problem. To do that I will need admin access to the website. Because from our side there isn’t much else I could do, I can only see how the keys are assigned. A key verification issue is caused most likely by something from the website or from the hosting. Let me know if you want me to investigate on your website. Admin login user/pass can be sent by email at contact@tagdiv.com
Thank you!
Hi,
I removed that website and a few others which don’t exist anymore. The key is assigned to the website where you are using the theme at this time. Please check as well and let me know if I can help with something else.
Thank you!
Hi,
There’s much to discuss here.
Did you maybe update wordpress before all these issues happened? I see the website uses wordpress 7, which is the latest version released recently. And it uses Newspaper 7, which from 10 years ago. Also WPBakery 5, which is from 10 years ago.
I suggest updating everything, because it will have to be done eventually. Then the remaining problems can be investigated.
We still provide WPBakery in the theme package -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
WPBakery does not require a license, it has always been provided by us as a bundled plugin according to the guide -> https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/213762463-Bundled-Plugins
So a bundled plugin doesn’t require activation -> https://prnt.sc/nAR4whjbEtY5
If a page is displaying code, it usually means that either the plugin that renders that code is not active, or the page is broken. If the WPBakery plugin is active and there is still code, then the page must be broken. Updating the theme will not fix a broken page. The code from the page must be reviewed to see why it is broken. Or, if a recent modification broke the page perhaps and the page worked fine before, then an older revision can be restored -> https://prnt.sc/JgbjlyL-i6W2
Worst case scenario, the page must be rebuilt, which takes a few minutes, but not necessary if it can be fixed.
My suggestion is to update everything first. Then I will investigate any remaining issues. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website so I can investigate. I’ll help as much as I can.
Let me know.
Thank you!
I’m checking the posts on mobile, and from what I see the widget sidebar is actually after the featured image and the post content -> https://prnt.sc/72J2qFN98ASg It’s certainly not positioned as in your screenshot -> https://prnt.sc/hBh_5lIjRovc It can’t be there.
In order for the widget sidebar to be after the comments, it means that you were viewing the desktop post template on mobile. Maybe it was a caching issue or the mobile template was not yet set.
I see you disabled the infinite loading for posts. Infinite loading is a feature from the theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/infinite-loading-single-posts/
Basically most of the theme users already updated to wordpress 7. There are no major issues. All we plan to do is fix a few minor issues, and add a bit of compatibility with the new wordpress features if possible. You could update wordpress and it should work fine.
Thank you!
Now the website works and displays correctly.
The banners you mentioned are in the desktop header from what I see, so they won’t be displayed on mobile where the mobile header is used. If you want to display the banners in the mobile header as well, please add them there.
Add a new row in the mobile header -> https://prnt.sc/_-rA9N-kj4K5 and then add the banners there. Then they will be displayed on mobile.
Please try it. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you!
From what I see in your screenshot, the widget sidebar is below the featured image at the top. So that’s where the widgets should be displayed. Is the template live so I can check it?
You could set the new cloud template just for one post -> https://prnt.sc/54oCjDqKiSHB and provide a link to it so I can check how it looks on mobile.
Thank you!
Hi,
It could be done like this https://forum.tagdiv.com/set-block-inside-post-content/ It’s a workaround because normally there’s no option to add a block inside the post content unfortunately. But it should work fine. You could try it. The block can use any of the available sorting methods, including the popularity options https://prnt.sc/ahstUYPvaqt0
You could also check out this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/intelly-related-posts/ or similar plugins. They can automatically display related articles inside the post content.
Thank you!
Hi,
For me the website looks like this on mobile -> https://prnt.sc/segucSrncsDy
I see there is a problem with the images, on desktop and mobile. There are no images loaded in the page -> https://prnt.sc/xGgrRPqCCyzx Also there are some errors concerning required website resources which are also not loading. And sometimes the website itself is not loading and there is a server error -> https://prnt.sc/WjE34BsctJFT There must be something wrong with the server or the hosting. Could the hosting support investigate these issues?
Thank you!
Hi,
There were a few issues in the previous composer version, we fixed them in the latest update -> https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-changelog/ In case you are using an older version, please update the theme. The composer is now version 5.4.5 and the theme is 12.7.6.
Thank you!
Hi,
I think I’ve seen that happening before on a few websites. The ads were loading in the composer edit screen, making it hard to use. You could use an ad blocker extension in the browser, and activate it when you want to use the composer.
If I may ask, how is the auto ads code loaded on the website? Is it with a plugin, or added in the theme panel, or by a different method?
Thank you!
Hi,
I actually didn’t know about Swis until now. I knew that Ewww was a plugin for image optimization, but I didn’t know they also provide website optimization as well.
It definitely sounds like a caching issue, maybe also a lazyload issue if the images are not loading. Does it not display correctly if you clear the cache manually? I see there is an option https://docs.ewww.io/article/103-page-caching
At this time I see the images and the correct number of followers https://prnt.sc/nd81dyaiIv9y Is Swis inactive? What if you activate it and check in the browser console, are there any errors concerning the Instagram images?
Thank you!
I understand now. We should do that perhaps.
That font is in this folder in the theme https://prnt.sc/aOODTON6dZhQ It could be converted to woff2.
Then it will require making a change in the theme stylesheet here https://prnt.sc/CECR1aDfriZl to load the woff2 file.
If you want to try it you could do it and it should work fine. We will probably do it as well in the next theme update.
Thank you!
Hi,
While I haven’t tested the plugin myself, I suggest using a regular post loop in the search template, meaning either of these two -> https://prnt.sc/SjVO_yiOaVck So not a flex loop, or a flex loop builder, or a block.
From what I see you are using a cloud template for the search results, is there no option to edit it with the composer? There should be one directly in the admin bar -> https://prnt.sc/Bsw1_b8OQH1j Or the option from the cloud library dashboard -> https://prnt.sc/lLMGfC8RQPvS
Then replace the flex loop builder that you are currently using in the search template with one of those two basic loops. Then it should work. If it does, then all that’s left is to customize the design of the loop to match the website a bit.
I hope it works fine.
Thank you!
Hi,
Maybe the recaptcha keys are the ones used on the staging, which won’t work for the main website.
If you entered recaptcha V3 keys in the theme -> https://prnt.sc/D977Jhvfl2uQ and you want to continue having recaptcha on the website, the problem must be solved in your Google recaptcha admin panel. So here -> https://www.google.com/recaptcha/admin/create
There you can add the website and create the V3 keys -> https://prnt.sc/ax3rzqN87EW1 The keys can then be entered in the theme panel, remove the old ones and add the new ones.
Or you could just remove the keys if you don’t want or need to use recaptcha.
Please try it.
Thank you!
Only cloud templates can have mobile versions. There is no way to have different templates desktop vs mobile in other ways unfortunately.
The post template you are using now is the default standard template, meaning this one -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/
The equivalent cloud template for it is this one -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_pro/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-chic-and-fashionable-women-of-new-york-city/
They look pretty similar.
So you could just import the cloud template that looks similar -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/single/Single/11 and with minimal customization the cloud template will look very close to the default template. And then you can have a mobile version for it.
Thank you!
Hi,
That’s not normal, there must be a reason why that happens. I’ll try to find that reason. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access (user and pass) for the website. Please include either the same details in the email, or a link to this topic.
Thank you!
That’s great news. Please don’t worry about it, after some practice everything will be much easier and clearer.
The posts should indeed be unique.
And that’s exactly what a post template does, it loads the post information and displays it. So right now the post template contains the post title placeholder and the post content placeholder. All the posts that use that template will display their title and their content.
You can add more things in the template if you want, or create a sidebar. You could check the post templates from our cloud library -> https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single Any of those can be imported on the website.
Let me know if I can help more.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’ve seen such an issue before. The solution was to copy the code from the bottom of this guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ this one -> https://prnt.sc/VrfXD1L7AeIi and paste it the htaccess file, normally after the existing code. It can be done using the file manager from cPanel, or FTP.
Then the problem should be solved. I suggest trying it.
Or, if you want, I can do it. You can send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access to the website and also to cPanel or FTP. I will add the code and test to see if the issue is solved.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m checking on your website from desktop, and it’s still not working. The ajax menu items are unresponsive and there is an error -> https://prnt.sc/QOAtiQgYCdcL
Such issues could be caused by caching and optimization plugins. I see you are using the Fastest cache plugin. I suggest checking what options are active in that plugin and maybe try deactivating the ones for the javascript (minify and combine), to see if the issue is solved. It’s most likely an issue caused by the optimization.
Thank you!
Hi,
We should start with the premise that the theme and it’s plugins have to load files, and each file has a purpose.
Those files are related to the Live CSS option in the admin bar -> https://prnt.sc/Hbv7gmqDGdZJ Only an admin can use the Live CSS option, so the files are only loaded while logged in as an admin. They are not loaded publicly, or for any other user roles.
I don’t recall seeing such an issue before, which means it’s either very specific, or it’s happening only on this website. On my test install for example I have no such errors -> https://prnt.sc/C8yG87yzGOS7
Let’s discuss it more.
If I check your website as a visitor, the mobile menu works fine -> https://prnt.sc/zMcWqAoxw9Gg and the search works fine -> https://prnt.sc/Lwq-DKrIYScY Are these only not working for you when you are logged in as an admin?
Or maybe you solved the problem already.
Thank you!
Hi,
I don’t have a solution for something like that unfortunately. If it works for the loop then you could create clones of the category template and set them each for specific categories. It will take some work if you want to do this for many categories however.
I’m sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
Hi,
That’s a generic error. If you want I can take a look at it on your website. You can send an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login for the website, and details about how we can see the issue. Then we can investigate it.
Thank you!
Hi,
It looks like there’s a bit of a mix up with the headers. That’s an overlay header. Please import -> https://prnt.sc/ndMaVMxuRVyK this header from the cloud library -> https://prnt.sc/UxajSLtwf62h Then set it globally -> https://prnt.sc/2Pi58A91Ei2v
If maybe you also want such pages (built with wordpress) to have a wider width, you can stretch them in the theme panel -> https://prnt.sc/gz9FS8leP0VR You can also set a sidebar if you want, or make the content full width -> https://prnt.sc/lJuvsujaSuQ8
Let me know in case there are other issues.
Thank you!
Hi,
I have reset both keys but the error message you mention isn’t related to the keys themselves. It most likely means means that there is a problem with the key verification.
The key verification means that the theme tries to connect from your website to our database and verify the key. Sometimes there are things that can interfere, like plugin conflicts, firewalls or security restrictions, maybe other causes.
I will have to investigate this issue directly on the website where it’s happening. I will need admin login (user and pass) or temporary access. Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide access to the website. Please also include a link to this topic in the email. Then I will check the issue as soon as possible.
Thank you!
