Hi,

I see now, so the composer does not load. You say that it happens only for the homepage?

Did you enter any custom code in that page or elements that are not part of the tagDiv composer? Remove them if you did in the back-end of the page, or return to a former revision of the page when it worked.

It is something specific to that page, if the composer works for other pages. Let me know the results.

Thanks

The theme should be re-uploaded today, I will mention it here. The issues are mostly with the text and raw HTML elements of the tagDiv composer, they do not function correctly.

@Jair Prandi and @todayidol So you update and cannot login in the website. Please make sure there are enough resources especially WP memory

Similar issues or 500 errors were solved by increasing it to 256M if possible.

@silvaniodc
Double check if the theme plugins are updated and active. Then go the theme panel sub-footer settings, select the multi-purpose template and save
https://www.screencast.com/t/rzsO8GLNtuX
Let me know if that fixes it.

Hi,

That issue does still appear for some users, however very few. In 8.8.1 and 8.8.2 there were improvements made for the Cloud library plugin. These fixed the issue for most users as far as we know. But still it seems to happen for some. We are sorry for the inconvenience. The plugin is still in development (beta) and will be improved more for a better stability in the future.
In some cases even plugins caused that error to appear. You could try and find out if that is the case for you. Sorry again.

Thanks

Hi,

Indeed, on you posts there is no hentry data for some reason. The theme contains the required data by default (entry-title, updated and author). These can be seen in the page source of one of the posts in you website
https://www.screencast.com/t/xU5UuqcU
https://www.screencast.com/t/uhlPCSRhR
https://www.screencast.com/t/43nztGFYaoN
These are all present in the page source because the theme puts them there. But it seems the Google tool does not see them. They are not outputted in the Google tool
https://www.screencast.com/t/rqj725A2EV

I see you use an additional implementation for structured data
https://www.screencast.com/t/MBCmtbQnjyVu
Maybe that is overriding the theme structured data, I don’t know exactly. I do know that by default there is no problem in this matter.
You could remove all additional structured data plugins and implementations, then check if the required meta is detected.

That is unusual, I don’t know why that happens unfortunately. You could set the language menu where it shows, in the top menu. That would be the only way if in the main menu it does not appear.
I have not made any tests with that plugin. qTranslate or WPML should work, but with WPGLobus I have no idea, sorry.

Hi,

The browser inspector can be accessed by right clicking the page and choose inspect. The inspector will appear, then in the console tab the website status is displayed
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZwiqO2xC
If there are any errors they will be displayed there. If that solution from the topic did not work, you could better contact the hosting provided and mention this to them. Maybe the theme internal font used for the icons cannot be loaded for some reason.

Sorry for misunderstanding, most theme strings can be changed in Theme panel->Translations

Hi,

The theme stylesheet should contain all the CSS necessary for all elements. Removing block code from the theme files will not affect the stylesheet.
Most users minify the stylesheet for a smaller size, that would be the only proper way of reducing it.

Newspaper although similar in some way to the discontinued ionmag theme, does not share the same plugin system. All the elements are included by default, ionmag had a free version and a premium version. The difference was the premium plugins. Newspaper includes them all in one package.

In the end it depends on what pages contain, they can have multiple grids and blocks and be heavy on resources, or contain fewer elements.
So the same functionality by plugins as with ionmag would not be possible with Newspaper.

Check the forum, there are many speed optimization topics you can follow, provided by theme users.

Hi,

For the moment it would be best to remain to 8.8.2 or below, there are some issues with the new update 9. These should be fixed today and the theme re-uploaded.

As for the patch updates, the patch from each version have to be installed. Skipping a patch will not work. So each patch is needed 8.8->8.8.1->8.8.2->9. One patch will contain modified files from the previous version, the next update will contain modified files from the previous and so on. Sorry for the unintended inconvenience.
If you have missing patches, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and request it. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hi,

There is an issue with some of the text elements and also raw HTML, I believe today the investigation will be concluded and the theme re-uploaded. I will let you know when the issue is fixed so you can re-download the theme package and install it.
We are very sorry for this inconvenience.

You could return to theme 8.8.2 in the meantime, if you do not have that them version we will provide it to you. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and request it, include a link to this topic in the email. Sorry again.

Thanks

Hi,

So by activating the footer Instagram or using the weather widget the website is broke? That is unusual. We could take a look, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access and cPanel if possible.
Please include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

So it appears in other menus but not in the main menu. If you set it the same it should appear. I did not try that plugin unfortunately so I would have no idea why that happens. Maybe set the language menu in the top bar which you say works. One language switcher would be enough.

Thanks

Those settings are for the post titles in the post page
https://www.screencast.com/t/DCvlQ6NvPcDQ
For example in a post that uses post template 3 the font settings for the post title are these
https://www.screencast.com/t/BUzNxp9OUMwQ
The modules have different settings as I mentioned above. Sorry for the unintended confusion. Let me know if you have more questions.

Hi,

The mobile theme will be displayed on phone view ports only, tablets or bigger devices will not show it. That would be the intended functionality. If a tablet is smaller it may display the mobile theme however. This cannot be controlled, it depends on device used.

Thanks

We are investigating the issue you mention as we speak. Seems there is a problem in certain cases.

It will be fixed as soon as possible and the theme will be updated again. I will let you know when to re-download the theme. Sorry for the inconvenience.
We tested extensively before but it seems there is a problem in specific situations.

Now it works for me on desktop and on mobile. Those bars may appear on mobile, depending on image size and maybe aspect ratio, check the gallery on our demo website
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-aston-villa-beat-liverpool-to-join-arsenal-in-the-fa-cup-final/
Some image display differently than others. However in terms of functionality the gallery works fully now on your website.

So that is detected in pages where the thumbnail of the featured image should appear?

It is true that the post is linked to the thumbnail that represents it in blocks. In blocks only thumbnails are displayed
https://www.screencast.com/t/nf3gwk9DwNId
That is not the full image resized, it is an actual thumbnail of the image created by the theme automatically. Inspect an image in a block on your website, they should be thumbnails.
If they are not, then please regenerate the thumbnails
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
The full image will not be displayed in block modules.

Simion C.

You just have to enable it in the theme panel, then it will appear
https://forum.tagdiv.com/login-how-to-enable-user-registration/

Simion C.

Hi,

I don’t quite understand what the problem is. Blocks and grids will display the posts according to the filtering and sorting you set for each of them
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Posts can have only one author, users that have author roles can create and publish posts in your website. What do you mean by posts not being yours?
Do you have any caching? Clear the cache and also force refresh the page (Ctrl+Shift+R).

Check this similar topic for some solutions in the matter

Maybe I am misunderstanding. I though you are referring to the featured image of the post not being full width.
The options you mention in the template settings are for header and footer sections.

The link you mention uses post template 7. The image is full width because their is no background set. If there is a background set (color or image) the full width will be canceled, website will become boxed.

Hi,

Users can interact with the website according to their role capabilities
https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities
Each user has it’s predefined capabilities, for example authors can log into the website and create posts, also assign the categories and tags needed for the post. Pages can be created by editor level users and above.

The posts will be displayed in blocks, grids etc. Each page can contain the post displaying elements that you want, filtered and sorted as you want
https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
You can create as many pages as needed, each displaying different content as needed.

A category hierarchy can be created like you mention, with category parents and sub-categories. Categories will have their own pages as soon as created, they will display posts only from the respective category.

In the menus you can place categories, pages, posts etc
https://www.screencast.com/t/JQvUSPoRfXY

If I missed or misunderstood something please let me know.
Thanks

Hi,

What page are you referring to? Are the WordPress and server parameters mentioned in the theme requirements guide set properly?
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Please follow the guide carefully and make modifications where needed, contact your hosting for assistance if necessary.
Also try deactivating all non-them plugins and check again. Let us know what you find.

Thanks

Hi,

You can update the theme as well, the guides mention each step to take
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Follow the guide and there should be no problem, be sure to make a back-up before as recommended.

Thanks
