I saw that, I was referring to this image inserted in the post content
https://www.screencast.com/t/6rFLPBtCQ8
I inserted it in the post content in my test
https://www.screencast.com/t/hqjdhS9M (I tested both full size or large size)
https://www.screencast.com/t/yZydgvwV
https://www.screencast.com/t/MrEqfjIG8x8
There is no featured image for that post, I only entered the image in the post content. In your case there is a stretched thumbnail which looks accordingly

Hi,

Please provide a link so I can inspect the problem.

Hi,

That is not how they are supposed to look, please check this demo post bottom sharing
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/wordpress-news-magazine-charts-the-most-fashionable-new-york-couples-in-2016/
Try changing the style in the theme panel, check if it displays properly, then switch it back again. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

This is an unusual problem you are having. There seem to be non-breaking spaces added in the text. That is why a new line is started. I also tested with a paragraph from your post, there are no such spaces
https://www.screencast.com/t/HjWFInb4
In this other post you mention there are even more spaces
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZCGvX0zN8
Try testing in a new post, write text in it and add links and HTML code. Check if there are added spaces.

We could take a look, maybe we can identify what is the problem. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Maybe there are suggestions online about that, I did not find any however. WP beginner released a guide yesterday but does not mention videos
http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/the-ultimate-guide-to-wordpress-and-gdpr-compliance-everything-you-need-to-know/
I believe more and more guides and solutions will begin to appear online in the near future.

Hi,

From what I can see the images currently displayed are the latest ones
https://www.screencast.com/t/mXOkbF71
That would mean Instagram works. Where is that notice displayed exactly? I did not see that before.

Thanks

Simion C.

That is unusual. There is no need for manually entering paragraphs, these should be created as you press the enter key while writing. We tested again and this works on our end.

If you could send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login we will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

Unfortunately we have no documentation for implementing Yoast breadcrumbs, the theme already has breadcrumbs of it’s own. You could check the Yoast guide and a similar topic
https://kb.yoast.com/kb/implement-wordpress-seo-breadcrumbs/
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/bread-crumbs/
basically you will have to disable the theme breadcrumbs and add the Yoast breadcrumbs. There might be more guides online if required.

Thanks

Hi,

Once you activate the mobile theme plugin, the front page will be predefined. There will be a top grid displaying your featured posts and then a latest post section. More about the mobile theme here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The grid will only be displayed in the homepage, so will the latest articles section. Other mobile pages will have to be created with the mobile editor only.
This is meant to improve the performance of the website by keeping it as light as possible.
If you would be able to display grids and blocks on mobile pages, then there would be no purpose for the mobile plugin, it would be the same as without it.

Thanks

If the sidebar works with default pages, then the problem is with the pages that you mention were converted from posts. That could have affected the resulting pages, that is why the problem appeared.

I don’t know how exactly you made the conversion, we have not made any tests with pages that were converted from posts to see if the functionality is affected in any way. So if the setting from the theme panel does not work
https://www.screencast.com/t/vrD7W45o6
Also the setting per page does not work
https://www.screencast.com/t/zs4ndlLJ
Then I don’t know what could be done about it, since for normal pages it functions correctly.

Hi,

Simply remove the white color if that is what you use for the header menu background. Example with header menu background set to white
https://www.screencast.com/t/ImnMI6BI
Background color cleared – https://www.screencast.com/t/RaY2gZJ1b9

Hi,

On pages you could use a block on the bottom of the page, set to infinite load pagination to continuously load posts as you scroll down.

For posts there is no infinite loading. Category pages can have infinite loading, please check the category settings in the theme panel, each category has a pagination setting
https://www.screencast.com/t/t8VMlKHH

Tag or search results pages do not have infinite pagination. There will be a numbered pagination at the bottom of these pages
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/tag/wordpress/
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/?s=fashion

Thanks

Hi,

There is only one head tag, this is loaded for all the pages of the website. The head tag is located in the theme header file
https://www.screencast.com/t/A9NoDpXB
So enter your code there and it will be loaded on the whole website.

Thanks

Hi,

So you cannot enter the form code in the newsletter, or set a custom title and description for the newsletter. Please first check the theme system status panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If needed ask your hosting provider to increase the parameters mentioned in the guide. Then check if this solves the issue. Many composer and theme problems are caused by limited insufficient resources.
If there is still a problem, try as quick test to deactivate all your plugins except theme plugins. Then test the composer and newsletter on a new page. Let us know.

Thanks

Maybe you are not updating the theme plugins besides the theme. There could be problems if you only update the theme and not the plugins. All of those errors are related to the composer.

The latest theme version provides composer version 2.3, this composer is created specially for this theme so in combination with the theme it should not cause such problems. Most of the problems we identified so far were with server configurations.

However updating the theme should not cause such complete website crashes. Why were’t you able to access the dashboard, what ere the errors? What were the identified causes, or what did your hosting deactivate in order to fix the problem? We had no similar reports regarding the latest theme update from our users. Of course exceptions can happen. I will pass any information you can provide to our developer team. The composer has been improved significantly over previous versions, it will continue to be.

Check the theme system status panel, the requirements are here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Maybe also maintain a local copy of the live website and first test updating the theme there, to see the results.

Now it is working, the mobile theme works properly
https://www.screencast.com/t/svf0Wgyd
So the issue was caused by something that is now disabled.

Hi,

The ads the theme will display are the ones that you enter in the Theme panel->Ads section
https://www.screencast.com/t/73VXns3u
So if you want to display only article ads, remove all the other ad codes in the theme panel. Let us know if you have further questions.

Thanks

Hi,

That page has no theme containers from what I can see. Is that the default woocommerce shop page?
There was only one similar case that I remember, in the following topic, the user seems to have solved the problem however
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/woocommerce-not-working-on-newspaper-theme/
The problem was that the shop page did not have any theme containers for some reason, so the content would fill the whole space.

You could try recreating the shop page and check again
https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-pages/
Also test with no other plugins active except theme plugins and woocommerce.

Hi,

Maybe I am not understanding the problem properly. This is how I see it. On desktop these menu items do not do anything when clicked
https://www.screencast.com/t/VlRhCwAz
On mobile the same menu items when clicked don’t do anything. There is no link for those menu items.
Both the Movies and Trailers are mega-menus, they are created properly. The normal behaviour would be that those menu items can be clicked and lead to the parent category. Please click on the Fashion menu item in the live demo
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
So either in your case there the Movies and Trailers were not added as categories, or something is affecting the mega-menu, maybe plugins. The only errors I see on your website are related to a missing image and one related to the CDN rocket loader (which is not recommended to be used with the theme)
https://www.screencast.com/t/BB9rslUGqoHU
You could check again if the menu items are set as categories. If they are, deactivate all plugins except theme plugins. Clear all caching and CDN, check if the menu items can be clicked.

Hi,

So when using the category pagination some pages provide 404 errors. You could check server error logs or contact your hosting to have them take a look, maybe they can see what could be the cause of the errors.
Also check some similar topics online

Hi,

I am not aware of such plans at this moment. You could use plugins for that if required. Maybe in the future it will be considered for implementation, but for the time being there are other projects in work.

Simion C.

Don’t copy the parent theme functions file in the child theme, don’t copy the main theme stylesheet in the child theme. There is no need for that. Code you enter in the child theme will be loaded in addition to the main theme.
You can find out more about child themes here
https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

So simply copy the child theme as provided in the themes folder. Activate it. Copy the file you want to modify in the child theme (create the directory tree to the file in the child theme as it is in the main theme). Then modify the file.

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

Default posts can only have categories, maybe by some modifications found online you could add taxonomies to them but the theme may not work with them.
Maybe you can work with categories and sub-categories and create what you want.

Simion C.

Hi,

Then it is not a browser issue, the problem is in almost all cases caused by a form of caching. Either caching plugins or CDN caching or configuration. Try to review your CDN settings, also note that maybe your hosting provides a form of caching.

The mobile theme plugin is optional, it it does not work with your current setup you could simply not use it. There will be no problem.
