For the aspect ratio there is no requirement, try a few videos and check the results. The construction demo uses this video for example
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiOS06plNYY

All the theme elements are responsive. The issue with the video not playing on mobile will be fixed.

There is also a mobile theme provided, designed specially for mobile
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Note that with the tagDiv composer you can also for example not display the same elements per device, more about that in this topic

Hi,

If you have two licenses then you can use the theme on two websites. According to Envato license terms one license can be used for one end product (website)
https://themeforest.net/licenses/standard
So you can activate the theme on the secondary website, there would be no problem. Use the manual activation
https://www.screencast.com/t/itOj6kF49P
Download the latest theme version from your themeforest account and update the theme and theme plugins.

Thanks

The website is broken on both Chrome and Firefox for me
https://www.screencast.com/t/YdouFrti
https://www.screencast.com/t/sHV8WnBjWbM9
There could be many causes for this to happen. Plugins, theme modifications, code added in the theme panel custom code sections, code entered in theme files or child theme. Check these one at a time and try to identify what is the problem.

Indeed there seems to be a caption top and bottom for the images. In WordPress there is only one caption field for each image.
So what I believe they are doing is entering the captions manually like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/goYTsUZRH
Then with some CSS style the caption

Hi,

Indeed, loading some scripts in the theme ad spot section will cause problems. There have been cases where some scripts caused the images on the whole website to not display.

When this happens there would be no solution except to modify the ad code if possible, or use a different one.

Hi,

You can use CSS for that if needed. Like in this example
https://www.screencast.com/t/FcpTPOhZ
This is the code used in the example, you can experiment with it. I tested with a block 7n widget, you can use any widget type you want.

.td_block_7.td_block_widget:after {
content:'';
background: url("http://localhost/test/wp-content/uploads/tdm_pic_5.jpg");
background-size: 30px 30px; background-repeat: no-repeat;
position: absolute;
width: 30px;
height: 30px;
top: 0;
right:0;
}

Hi,

Seems there is something wrong with that button. Please provide a link to it if possible, so we can inspect it.

The activation messages cannot be removed. However if you installed the theme on a local testing environment you can activate it using the same key.

Thanks

Hi,

Now that is unusual, so the newsletter settings are not appearing for you
https://www.screencast.com/t/Y9dI6w8Lpf
There are a few things you can check. First would be to check in a different browser. Next would be to test with no plugins active, only theme plugins.
Also check the theme system status
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If you made modifications to the theme files or added code in them, try to temporarily remove them and check if this has any effect. Let us know.

Thanks

Hi,

If you use the latest version of the theme (8.7.4) the social counter provided with it is version 4.4. Try deactivating it and removing it, then install it form the theme plugins panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/Y72WelhGW

If there is still a problem, we can take a look. Send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin access. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Did you update the plugin as well? the social counter is now version 4.4. If you use the latest plugin version and it still does not work, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

The location of the head and body tags is mentioned in this topic

Hi,

The theme will try to update the tagDiv composer, multi-purpose plugin and the social counter automatically, when the theme is updated. But this sometimes fails. The latest version of the social counter is 4.4.

If you installed the latest theme version (8.7.4) and the social counter is 4.2, deactivate and remove the plugin. Install it again for the theme plugins panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/HvczOKGu
Then there should be no problem configuring the counter as you please. Let us know.

In the latest theme version the tagDiv composer is version 4.3 and the multi-purpose plugin is 2.1.2.

Simion C.
tagDiv Staff

You should try and update the theme and theme plugins to the latest version
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Then configure the social counter again, it will only require the Facebook ID.

If there still is a problem, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

The latest version of the theme and social counter plugin does not require additional information anymore. All you have to do to configure Facebook is to enter the ID (username)
https://www.screencast.com/t/rVYjkRndn
No need for app IDs, security keys and tokens. You should update the theme and theme plugins to the latest version and there would be no problem with it
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/

Thanks

Hi,

I don’t see anything wrong with the page on desktop or mobile. Some more exact details would be very helpful. Note that you can edit the page with the composer and preview the mobile state

Please remove this code from the child theme
https://www.screencast.com/t/Dna8DgWoX0
It is overriding the default theme code for the Xing icon, there is no need for that code anymore. Remove it and it will look like this

Hi,

Please check if the same error is displayed when trying to edit a different page or a new page. It usually is displayed when there is content in the page that was not added with the tagDiv composer. By trying on a new page, we can see if that is the case.

Also if you use an older version of the Yoast SEO plugin, there was a setting know to cause problems
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh

Please check as well the theme system status, if there are sufficient resources
https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
If needed, ask your hosting provider to increase these parameters to the recommended values.

Let us know.
Thanks

Hi,

There was no theme update on the 14th, please see the changelog on the bottom of the page
https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609
The date you mention will change if we make any modifications to the themeforest page. To be certain simply check the changelog.

Thanks

Hi,

I have inspected the website, and the images are not loading from what I can see. That is usually caused by code entered in the theme panel (including ad codes in some cases)in a child theme or directly in the theme files, or plugins.

I see that you are using the Jetpack lazy load for your images. Please check if the issue is solved when you disable that setting
https://jetpack.com/support/lazy-images/
Then clear you cache and CDN if used. Let us know the results of this.

Thanks

There should be no errors despite of login state. If there are errors then something is not functioning correctly. That guide provides some solutions you can try, be sure to do as advised and make a backup of the website before making any modifications.

We could take a look as well, send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login information. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Hi,

You should also check some online comparisons of membership plugins. Begin testing with some free plugins if possible, to see if they work properly with the theme.

Maybe some theme users can make some plugin recommendations.

Hi,

No extra plugin needed for creating a mega-menu. Simply follow the guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/
You can create a mega-menu with or without subcategories.

Hi,

We could take a look at the website, please provide a link to your website.

In most cases when the mobile theme is displaying on desktop or devices where it should not, the problem is caching. We recommend the WP Super cache, this will work with the mobile theme properly. Other plugins can cause issues with the mobile theme.

Thanks
