Hi,
Indeed, there is a limit of 30 sub-categories in the mega-menu
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wont-show-all-sub-categories/
So the mega-menu by default will show a maximum of 30 sub-categories, 7 will be no problem. If you have a problem, please provide some more details about it and a link to your website, we will take a look.
Thanks
Hi,
There is a hover color like this currently
– https://www.screencast.com/t/WioCpDj7
That color originates from the demo
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wOUq3v70
So either change it there directly, or remove that code and then the default situations will apply. It will affect the article titles on modules/blocks.
Hi,
There are some errors in the page, the images are also not loading. I see you use a child theme, please do not change the name of the child theme, it will cause issues. Deactivate it or change it’s name to default, then check the results.
Thanks
You could try to follow some speed optimization tutorials, there are many provided by theme users that achieved great results. Here are a few
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tutorial-chriss-custom-optimizations-for-functions-php-etc/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-theme-speedify-your-website/
Hi,
We could take a look at the thumbnails and see if there is a problem. If you use high quality images originally, then the resulting thumbnails should be of quality as well, just like in the theme demo website
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/
So there would be no need to increase the quality of a quality image.
Thank you
Hi,
That sorting options will not work with caching plugins unfortunately, this is mentioned in the feature description
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/7-days-post-sorting/
So this option will not work as expected along caching plugins, there would be no solution in this case. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks
Hi,
That would be the space for the module meta (author name, date and comment count). I see these are not enabled, so you could remove that space with a code like this
– https://www.screencast.com/t/O3F8HcvPgWJE
.td_block_16 .td-module-meta-info {
display: none;
}
Thanks
That would depend on where exactly you want to display that image, for what elements. The demo uses block header template 6 for the blocks
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-header-6/
Then the background image is applied and some additional customization. You can use the browser inspector to create the necessary custom code
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
I will try to help you, mention for which elements you want to make this customization.
Thanks
You can use ad boxes on pages, in any position possible. An ad box will should not cause issues with the blocks. So an ad box placed between two blocks should not create issues with the block filtering. An ad box is the only element that can be used to display ads on pages, provided by the composer.
Thanks
Check in the plugins section, if you have a caching plugin installed go into its settings and clear the current cache, there should be a button for that. Also clear the browser cache, or test with a different browser.
We could take a look at the website if you could provide a link to your website.
Hi,
Indeed that will be the case, the website will be boxed when a background color or image is set in the theme panel
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
From what I can see there is a background color set on the website at the moment, a black color. Please check the theme background color section and clear the color found there
– https://www.screencast.com/t/I9zc4s7wRaJR
Thanks
Hi,
That is the theme post sharing section, the socials you select in the theme panel will be displayed in the post page (top and bottom sharing sections)
– https://www.screencast.com/t/2sbBFZLp
More socials could be added in future updates. If you would require more sharing options, it would be better and easier to install a sharing plugin than to modify theme files.
Thanks
4. Simply remove the old theme and install the new one, the theme panel settings will not be lost. Posts and pages will not be lost. These are all saved in the database. After you install the latest version there should be no more problem. This is a guide you can follow
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
Let us know the results.
I see that most of your posts have reviews, note that the review stars will replace the author name and date by default. There is a setting in the theme panel to display the author name and date instead of review stars on blocks/modules
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8IsMzelgA
Then if the author name and also the date are enabled they will be displayed.
I though the problem was with the Instagram widget or social counter. Note that a featured video from Instagram is not supported if that is what you are trying to do
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
You could enter the Instagram link in the beginning of the post content and select post template 5 (this template does not display a featured image in the post page)
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Ea8imEG0
– https://www.screencast.com/t/b7ZLil4tf
It will look like a featured post, but you will have to set a featured image for the thumbnails to be created.
Hi,
I tried the same thing, there was no issue for me
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8gWOnIpbR
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4049W1hFWE
Try to disable all your plugins except theme plugins and try again. Let us know the results.
Thanks
I could not say, it is highly unusual the only that category page has this issue. We could take a look, maybe we can identify why this is happening. If you could send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login we will investigate further.
Also include a link to this topic in the email.
For the social counter, you have to edit a file from the plugin. You could use even the WordPress plugin editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/z3tpYife1J
Replace the selected code with the one provided in the pastebin
– https://pastebin.com/8p6r7TDh
Then the counter will work as before
– https://www.screencast.com/t/xjimwRFu
What Catalin was trying to say, is that if you have full width elements in the website (stretched rows in pages, full big grids, full width revolution sliders, post templates will full width elements etc) and you set a background color/image
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/background-introduction/
The result will be that the website will be boxed, there will be no full width elements displayed.
So as long as there is no background image or color, rows can be stretched
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tM9dWee1jX
Full big grids can be used
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Also header and footer sections can be stretched
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ed3M6XfOG
Let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Indeed, each category has a setting for the category tag in the post page
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-category-settings-work/
– https://www.screencast.com/t/IfoibbnUjiq
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ApTpn69VnJX
So you can set a color for the tags from each category, in the per category settings.
Thanks
Please provide a link to your website, to a post or page that has this issue. There should be no such problems, the image you set as featured
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/
Will be displayed in the post page and also thumbnails will be created from it on modules/blocks. Be sure to clear all caching and CDN files if used after a theme update, although updating the theme will not affect post meta saved in the database, like featured images.
That depends on your sidebar implementation on pages. If you use a widget sidebar elements that all you have to do is select the same sidebar for each of the elements
– https://www.screencast.com/t/dsgfZKz3q
If you simply split the row in a 2/3 + 1/3 layout and add elements in it, then simply add the same elements. These would be the options of setting a sidebar on pages.
Let me know if I misunderstand something.
Hi,
Indeed there is a problem it seems with sub-menu items, visible only when the menu item is active. I will add this issue on our list and it will be fixed in the next theme update. In the meantime use a code like this to fix the problem
– https://www.screencast.com/t/4yln7ovua1hS
.td-header-main-menu .sf-menu > .current-menu-item {
z-index: auto;
}
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you!
We could take a look, please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login access, as well as FTP and cPanel if possible. We will try to identify why this happens. Include a link to this topic in the email.
That would be the WordPress logo – https://www.screencast.com/t/ErqxeFeLi
I could not say why the WordPress logo is blocked, never saw this before. Maybe your hosting provider could have an idea, or there could be similar cases online.
