Hi,

From what I found online, the directive mod_authz_core and Require all denied unconditionally denies access for everyone
https://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/mod/mod_authz_core.html
This condition may have been added there by the hosting provider, maybe you could contact them and explain the situation. They might have a solution as to change the condition. It might have been added there for a reason.

Thanks

Hi,

Code entered directly entered in the theme files, will be lost when the theme is updated. You could use a child theme for example. This a child theme tutorial, mentioning the files that can be customized through it
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
Files from the footer folder can be customized in a child theme.
Custom code in the theme panel will not be lost, as mentioned by Edward.

Hi,

1. That is an author box, it is automatically displayed on the author page. You could remove it with some CSS if you don’t want the author meta displayed
https://www.screencast.com/t/0oBGNuh3

.author .author-box-wrap {
display: none;
}

2. To remove the “Tag:” text you will have to edit this theme file
https://www.screencast.com/t/EecHV4TCg0
https://www.screencast.com/t/G4mdyYvQX5m
The result is like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/bbf91j0y58f
The breadcrumbs can either be enabled or disabled for all the website, there is no option to disable them specifically for the tag pages.
You could use some CSS to remove them on tag pages only, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/kXzovJQo

.tag .entry-crumbs {
display: none;
}

3. That could be increased like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/flM1XEXkeAO

.td_search_subtitle {
font-size: 20px;
}

4. There are no options to modify those elements at the moment, unless you use custom code and make modifications in the 404 template of the theme
https://www.screencast.com/t/CGbyqnrSzX

5. The easiest way would be with custom code
https://www.screencast.com/t/j9JnggbAokkB

.td-menu-mob-open-menu .td-menu-socials {
display: none;
}

Thanks

Hi,

That should not happen, the theme will create exact thumbnails from all the featured images you use for the posts. Please try and regenerate the thumbnails using this guide
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/

Thanks

Hi,

The theme uses the default search of WordPress and simply styles it, but it does not change the search functionality. There are no options that would allow to change what is displayed in the search results.
If you should require more advanced search functionality, you could either modify the search, or maybe remove it and use search plugins that would have more advanced search and search result customization.

Hi,

Adding an icon in the menu is not difficult, the guide explains how to do it. The plugin Font Awesome 4 Menus must be installed. This is an example
https://www.screencast.com/t/rYHVc8hV2p2
https://www.screencast.com/t/UH8zyZf4XEQ
https://www.screencast.com/t/4qc25IGIMVA
The result is an icon besides the menu item where you wish to show it
https://www.screencast.com/t/a6kqSis8r4eV
You can choose from many icons as well
http://fontawesome.io/icons/

Hi,

That would be possible with some CSS for example. You can use the unique post IDs to achieve it. This is an example, where the post ID is used to hide the author name and date just for that post
https://www.screencast.com/t/Fj0EB9DMMIe
This is the code used in thee example

.postid-18078 .td-post-author-name,
.postid-18078 .td-post-date {
display: none;
}

Thanks

Hi,

You can try it like that, or create and use your own custom fields that can be displayed in the post page

Hi,

The code should be like this to change the category tag color for those modules, in the same color
https://www.screencast.com/t/8GTTLNl6

.td_module_mx1 .td-module-meta-info .td-post-category,
.td_module_mx2 .td-module-meta-info .td-post-category {
background-color:#005689!important;
color: #fff;
}

If you want different colors that can be achieved the same way by module type, not actual category name
https://www.screencast.com/t/PI3BAVf4zC4

.td_module_mx1 .td-module-meta-info .td-post-category {
background-color:yellow!important;
color: #000;
}
.td_module_mx2 .td-module-meta-info .td-post-category {
background-color:#005689!important;
color: #fff;
}

Hi,

The easiest way would be to hide these elements with CSS on the posts you mention. You can use the post unique ID and create a code to remove the sharing and also related articles just for those posts. Like in this example
https://www.screencast.com/t/ux94lD9ks6
https://www.screencast.com/t/IszaczKLlZYH
https://www.screencast.com/t/TXwtMUPfB4
Use the post Ids you want in the code, and it will remove the sharing and related articles only in them. Enter the code in Theme panel->Custom CSS section

.postid-18093 .td-post-sharing,
.postid-18093 .td_block_related_posts {
display: none;
}

The post Id can be found either with the browser inspector for example, or in the WordPress posts edit screen
https://www.screencast.com/t/n7hX9419
There are also other ways.

Hi,

I don’t see why not. You might need a fix to allow uploading SVG files in the media library, in order to set the logo
https://css-tricks.com/snippets/wordpress/allow-svg-through-wordpress-media-uploader/

Hi,

A code like this will hide the buttons, both for top sharing and bottom sharing
https://www.screencast.com/t/iNlDZOxXQ
https://www.screencast.com/t/poSCQpNiVaPc

.single .td-classic-sharing {
display: none;
}

Hi,

Let’s make things more clear for a better understanding. The theme creates a Featured category automatically
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
If you want to display posts from the featured category in a block or grid, simply choose it in the category filter
https://www.screencast.com/t/4cvioezrVA
Post will be displayed from this category, and sorted by the chosen method
https://www.screencast.com/t/sTDchtO1V5fQ
If you use category IDs in the filter, posts will be displayed from all those categories, again based on the sorting used.
There is a featured sorting option that displays only featured posts from the desired categories for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/dY430jDHWi

Hi,

That is not a style that can be used for other icons, only the font icons that can be seen in the demo are created and available on demo installation. You can use Font awesome for menus which has an extensive collection of icons that can be used in the menu for example
https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-add-icons-in-menu/

Thanks

Hi,

This is calculated automatically by the theme, there are no options to change how the categories are displayed and modify their number before the drop-down is displayed. I believe the width is calculated in the theme JavaScript file, and it would be difficult to change how it is designed to work.

Hi,

Changing the line height will increase the height of these elements if that is what you want to do. It could be done with CSS if you would like a value higher then available in the theme panel font settings. For example like this for the top menu
https://www.screencast.com/t/uwgYz8rX8n

.td-header-sp-top-menu,
.td-header-sp-top-widget {
line-height: 200px;
}

You can inspect the elements on the page and the classes used and their styles, in order to create custom code
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/

Hi,

The theme uses a center-top cropping system, this is considered to be the most suited for all cases in general
https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
Of course for some images this may not be the best method
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-vs-featured-image-size/
The thumbnails will be created automatically from the featured images you use for posts, the sizes are predefined for all modules, in the theme files.
You can use the Yoast SEO plugin for sharing customization, the theme does not have any options in this regard
https://forum.tagdiv.com/facebook-share/
https://yoast.com/social-media-optimization-with-yoast-seo/
https://kb.yoast.com/kb/why-doesnt-facebook-display-an-image/

Hi,

Admin level users have the possibility to install plugins. The theme does not interfere with the default user capabilities set by WordPress. There are multiple ways a plugin can be installed
http://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/step-by-step-guide-to-install-a-wordpress-plugin-for-beginners/
There could be memory limit issue
http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/why-cant-i-add-or-install-plugins-in-wordpress/
Check the theme system status and make modifications to the parameters mentioned in this guide if required
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
You could ask your hosting to make them for you if needed.

Hi,

The block should display posts based on the filter set to it. I see that the block below the big grid displays post from the category IDs you entered in the filter
https://www.screencast.com/t/4S0KbsvHfE
Only posts from those categories will be displayed in the block.

Hi,

If the theme system status is set according to the guide, there should be no problem using the composer, unless something else is interfering.
Please deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, clear any installed cache and create a new page. Test the tagDiv composer and see if it works properly on the created page.
Do not edit pages built with Visual composer, using the tagDiv composer. If you use the Yoast SEO plugin make sure this option is disabled
https://www.screencast.com/t/n8Cc35EofLh
Also, if you are using the WP Super Cache plugin, please ensure that has been right setup according to our documentation here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Thanks

Hi,

An image of that size should be displayed properly, that is the most common size used for background images. Make sure you are using the full image size when setting the background

Hi,

The ads seem to be present in the page structure, but they are not displayed
https://www.screencast.com/t/O5zmOZbJ1XTa
The ads are not served by Google for some reason. Here are some troubleshooting guides that you can follow, and also more useful information
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/1208336?hl=en
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/adsense/wuWx-49ZOzU
You could try as well to deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, clear the browser cache and check if this has any effect.

Hi,

I have checked it again, it does not seem blurry. The original image is exactly the same
https://www.screencast.com/t/5OeB4fyYm1
It looks perfectly fine from what I can tell. Try like I mentioned and enter the image in a test post, in the content. Compare the two images, the logo in the header and the same image in the post. They should be exactly the same.
The image will be displayed just as you created it.

Thanks

Hi,

I don’t think this would be the case. They are similar but nothing was or is violated. This Business demo is a demo of the Newspaper theme, and you can install and use it without any problems
