In order to have them without dropdown you will have to recreate a menu in Appearance – Menus in your dashboard. What is inside your dropdown is called Subcategory. If you are using “Category – Current category” it will render the post from the category that your post is in. If you want to render posts from other categories you will have to select the desired category. What you have to do is select your sidebar element, go to filters and select the category you want to pull posts from: https://www.screencast.com/t/QAevqoRu
