Hello @giulian!
t’s possible to be from the firewall or security module which blocks the admin-ajax.php request, which usually displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module that blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
Also, if you are using Cloudflare, please make sure that is set as in our guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/cloudflare-cdn/, you need to disable the Rocket Loader.
Examine some other potential interfering factors: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi,
Havin some issues while using the search box from https://soymotero.net/ gives a 403 error when click on the buscar button.
I’ve searched for accesorios:
https://soymotero.net/?s=accesorios
Any idea why? While logged in, it works fine though.
Thx in advance.
Hi,
Please open the console when you try to edit it.
I think you will have a 403 or 404 error, so please check this topic -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wp-editor-for-text-with-title-and-column-text-not-updating-content/ and try the suggestions. Also, please check the cache, clear/purge all cache.
Thank you!
I’ve followed the link you gave but the problem is that the website wont even show! All I get is ‘Error 403’ for the entire website – even the home page.
My domain http://www.doogle.com only gives a 403 message when it’s visited. I’ve gone through the hosting support and followed their instructions but it still says 403. If I go into the ‘Newpaper’ menu option in my website setup it says:
“An issue has been encountered while trying to validate your license key”
so I press the ‘activate now’ button – I’ve put in my activation code and it still shows 403.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

Hi,
The 403 can be inspected by click on this – https://i.imgur.com/v640GQA.png
Usually this is a security plugin like Wordfence or something similar, also it can be a custom code set in the .htaccess file – https://i.imgur.com/cyOd0Lb.png – https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/
Thank you!

Hello,
Please check if this code is missing from your .htaccess: https://www.screencast.com/t/iN0R93dD3p from our requirements https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ this requirement is not displayed in System Status.
Usually, after you set the code in .htaccess the WP editor works well.
Also, please check this guide about deny code https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/ ->

Hi,
The problem is caused by the nginx server https://i.imgur.com/uPBij9w.png -> https://linuxhint.com/fix-nginx-403-forbidden/
You need to set the pretty links, you can ask your host to help you -> https://cloudarcade.net/tutorial/pretty-url-on-nginx-server/ -> https://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/how-to-configure-nginx-for-wordpress-permalinks/

Hello @theheritagelab !
Please check the console and see which errors you encounter. Normally, if you click on that button, the WP Editor will open and you can add some text/code/shortcode there. Close the WP Editor from X, save the changes from Composer and view the page to see the changes.

When an article is opened on a mobile device, there is the default WordPress error messages shown.
In the logs, I see the following error:
[Wed Jun 14 11:59:55.214315 2023] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 1696871:tid 140319819536128] [client 123.123.123.123:47370] AH01071: Got error 'PHP message: PHP Warning: require_once(../wp-content/Newspaper/tagdiv-deploy-mode.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in ../wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/functions.php on line 11PHP message: PHP Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '../wp-content/Newspaper/tagdiv-deploy-mode.php' (include_path='.:') in ../wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/functions.php on line 11'
It looks like the value for $get_parent_template_directory is missing the “themes” directory.
I looked in the code, but could not find where this value is comming from.
Anybody a idea?

Hello, Support
We installed the Newspaper theme on our staging, and after a few times, we published the website live. and everything is good.
Now we explored a minor issue. we can’t edit the page.
For example, when we added any Text widget to edit it, It’ll still be loading and show us this error on the console window:
https://our-domain.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/wpeditor.php?wp_path=/home/staging-path.com/grndpmddxh/public_html/ 403
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fKo4jdWKJIpu8g_xNylAqDTwKD0vJ_Ui/view?usp=sharing
I think the reason is the old path, and we have to change it to the current path. But how can we do that?
How can we fix it?
Hi,
Thank you for investigating.
I did some research too and pretty sure the problem is in the way it is managed by the theme. We have no issue with any other Ajax requests (including other WP projects using CF + Rest + GraphQL).
In the meantime I found a work around.
There is a setting in CloudFlare in the Cache section to set a rule to bypass cache in presence of a cookie. This way the authors can navigate in the site without the “loader” jamming 🙂
I still hope the devs find the fix, would be nice for others too.
But what would be even nicer is that those requests could use GET … opening the magics of cache <3
Saturday http://www.welovetennis.fr hit over 1 million visits… not easy to handle such load without cache.
Fingers crossed 🙂
Thanks for reading and wish you all a nice day.
reminder: in previous messages, logs confirmed that the POST request did get to the backend and that it was the backend responding 403, not cf.
