Hi,
This is my first thread here.
Today I created a new homepage & set it as a default. Accordingly I changed all the settings in wordpress>reading + disabled wp touch pro as it created some problem.
While browsing my site – iGadgetsworld on mobile, a certain portion of the site (the android section) is going blank. screenshot – http://prntscr.com/anpj1a
Can someone help me out on this?
my site: http://www.igadgetsworld.com
Thanks Chris – it’s these two occurrences of this ‘text/javascript’ script – appears to come from Cloudflare? I’d seen on .org the CF page rules and made those – will try with it off (damn got a great page speed with it on) or research other page rules etc – Thanks so much for guidance – Pat

Hi,
Here are my suggestions for the next update of Newspaper:
– Please add big ‘share count’ in the share section of the post (below title). Look the share count of Mashable.com post, for example. It adds huge value to the post and is very important feature to add.
– Add the smart list like this: http://www.androidcentral.com/best-adult-apps-android-nsfw
1. Smart list with list navigation on the side 2. Sticky ‘Next’ ‘Previous’ and ‘View all’ buttons when the page is scrolled 3. # (hash) page navigation (not page 1,2,3,4…) when clicked ‘next’ 4. When mouse is hover on the text of smart list, the ‘palm’ icon appears, which looks unprofessional. Replace it with ‘I’ mouse i con instead (like normal) 5. Big smart list covering the whole page, this makes it more user friendly.
That could be Chrome error.
Or, best bet … view the /amp/ endpoint in browser, then do ‘view source’ and check for anything that should not be in there like google analytics being injected wrong way, adsense not inserted per amp docs, odd JSON from something not needed for AMP, etc.
Hello. I have a youtube channel. If i use the video playlist block in a page of my site, and i insert a list of youtube id’s separated by comma of my videos, in the beginning i see one of my videos, but when it stop, appears the youtube playlist with all videos of my competitors. It is possible to do appear only my videos? for example, when the video ends, make it stop without getting the youtube playlist…
Hi There,
The theme seems to be automatically adding the name of my site to the end of each page title (for both pages and posts) with no space in between. How do I change this so it stops automatically adding the name of my site?
Example:
http://www.irreverentgent.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Screen-Shot-2016-04-03-at-8.28.43-AM.png
Hi Chris
Yes – Apester Interactive Content (clue in title?) runs <interaction> tag and errors in Search Console – in development mode for AMP page this removes error when deactivated – can live with that. Deactivated all other plugin one by one (except VC)
But two script error(s) remain which look like this below in Chrome Dev Tools – Errors – with /amp/#developemnt=1 after url – beyond me!
Not expecting an answer Chris – just for info
nB.prototype.warn=function(a){this.qa?this.qa.push(“W: “+a):console.warn?console.warn(a):console.log(“WARNING: “+a)};nB.prototype.error=function(a){this.qa?this.qa.push(“E: “+a):console.error?console.error(a):console.log(“ERROR: “+a)};var oB=function(a,b){this.Ja=a;this.Ca=b};oB.prototype.aa=function(){return this.Ja};oB.prototype.$=function(){return this.Ca};
Hello!
I was wondering how you make the text smaller for the main heading (title) of the article, when you are searching, or when you click on a category and the list comes up. For example on this page: http://livelovefruit.com/category/fruit/ – I was wondering how you make that title text smaller, its a bit big.
Thanks!
Carly
Hi Chris
Any chance of a steer with one AMP error
Have cleared all other errors in search console except ‘Prohibited tag – INTERACTION .
Tag is the only error left in 2,000+ posts but I can’t even find a reference to this tag anywhere on the web.
Strangely 3 posts have passed AMP but 2,000 haven’t – wonder what’s different?
(Ref our last conversation about syndicating send2press – are you US only news?)
Starting yesterday, visual composer is freezing & lagging when adding new rows, icons or just anything.
I’ve updated to the latest version that you provide v4.11 if i’m not wrong, but the update did not help at all.
Right now I can do nothing with the site and it’s super frustating.
Looking forward for any response.
Hi Bogdan,
What you said above about the primary category having priority doesn’t seem to be working. For example the primary category here should be Eastern Canada but the background and category tag is defaulting to North America. Is there a setting somewhere I’ve missed?

Thanks!
Might be basic WP function
perhaps add this to functions file or similar?
add_action('pre_get_posts', 'change_search_limit');
function change_search_limit($query){
$number_of_posts = 30;
if ( $query->is_main_query() && is_search() )
$query->set('posts_per_page', $number_of_posts);
}
or

might not be what you’re looking for, but perhaps some nails to help with barn building 😉
hi, is it possible to extend jetpack into 7 days rather than 24-48hours? also can it randomly get posts if conditions are not satisfied. for example, if i set the block to get 5 posts then there’s only 3 posts that has views for last 7 days.. then it will pick those 3 posts plus 2 random posts.. this feature will be helpful for those websites that is starting up to hide if their site has low views yet..
also, how to add border top on ads? i noticed it automatically has no border top?
Hi there,
The site should be accessible now. I want it to be dynamic, but it doesn’t seem to change for those templates that are on dark. Here is the example of Template Type 8: http://stefaniephan.staging.wpengine.com/raw-chocolate-orange-cheesecake-chocolate-ganache-raw-vegan-paleo/
Please let me know how to make it dynamic.
Thank you!
Hi all
I need help and would be grateful if someone can help me pls? On the Fashion Theme, the fetured image is stretching too wide.
1) If I am to use the default settings, what is the size to use in order to make the images brighter. I noticed when they stretch to fit the site, the image is not bright they fade so how can I make it brighter therefore what size would you use. I dont know if its to do with the type of computer that I am using because when I view them on the phone or a table they are fine but on a desktop their is a problem with the size.
2) Also if I dont want to use the featured image on the fashion one but want to use something similar to the other theme examples the size of the demo (newspaper magazine theme)? What size would that be?
Check on my site you will see what I mean – Fashion and Beauty Mag
Thanks
Sally
Hi Andrei,
thanks very much for you prompt reply and I take note of your answer even if, frankly, I don’t completely agree nor understand the tone you’ve used in the answer (i.e. using often “first of all we don’t…”) because, simply, it is not needed. Maybe it is due to a misundertanding. I certainly believe you that a clean test environment could work as expected but on our site where there are real posts and real visits, someting is not going as expected. And it is a good test bed both for you theme and for the plugin coming with it in the pack. On a clean test environment one can’t reach undreds of visits and WPP stats cannot be tested enough. Moreover I can assure you that our running WordPress 4.2.2 and that the theme and its plugins have constantly updated following scrupulously your documented procedures.
As a technician (I’m a software engineer even if not full web oriented), since we use your theme on a public web magazine which gets sometime thousands of visits, my aim and role is to solve malfunctionings and anomalies (as the dicrepancies between the theme views counter and WPP plugin stats is) and not to arrogantly pretend something from you. And I believe that the tone of all my previous posts can confirm that.
I thought to use the support channel because that anomaly boggles my mind and can’t find an answer to it.
Just for an example it was not neither too much evident nor documented that the theme unique contents setting “conflicts” with the “WPP” statistics and in fact it was a my deduction so I think that everyone, each from its part, should do its better in order to solve a problem or to explain if it is not completely understood. The same applies to settings I’ve made with your help that required code hacking and that obviously cannot be documented by you.
That said, I rather thought that the stats discrepancy towards the theme view counter was due to a my fault with some settings or similar because I assumed (and now I know that I was wrong) that all plugins that come with your theme are already tested from you as, for example, the Visual Composer plugin that you clearly advice to not update indipendently from the theme because you release the plugin updates with the theme update itself (I guessed after inhouse tests). Therefore if update releases are assumed to be correct, if something seems not correct I guess that the best way (after days of tests) is to ask to the theme creator: shouldn’t have I?
So that, dear Andrei, the question is still there unanswered: why there is a >1000 visits difference but if it is not possibile to answer no problem, but it is not right to be forced to show to our users the visit counts on posts, otherwise no WPP would be available, and after to discover that that stats are wrong for some unknown reason.
Endly, anyway, I have to say that Newsmag is a fantastic theme and that I’d buy it again even if one can always improve, also with its customer annoying posts. Isn’t it?
Thanks a lot again for your help and (sometime) useful advice 🙂
Giuseppe
P.S. Maybe I’ll need of your help again in the future so hope you will be still available 🙂

Hi
That link refers to a cloud share url. For example if you have some public files uploaded on cloud you can add the url on that field and visitors will be able to access them.
Thanks!
It appears it was the AMP plugin from Google as I can now click pages with that deactivated.
For anyone that has the same issue, I’d look at that.
When I scroll to the bottom of my blog and select the 2, 3, 4, etc page number at the bottom it doesn’t take me where it should. It just refreshes the page. I’m not sure why that is the case.
My url is: http://www.letstalkfantasyfootball.com/
I’ve deactivated my plugins one by one while turning off my Cloudflare to try and find the issue but I’ve had no luck.
Do you guys think it’s theme related or am I simply missing something here?
Thanks!

Hi
1. You need to insert the Read More button where you want your post to stop on module 15: Here is an example: http://screencast.com/t/rxJITxkY – http://screencast.com/t/1YM7EJSG
2. Try to deactivate all plugin except Visual Composer, Clear all caches then try to edit a post in Visual mod again.
Let us know how it goes and if the problem persist please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com with your login credentials and we will inspect this issue as soon as possible, also include a link to this topic.
I am not sure what you mean in your second reply so please provide more specific details about your issue so I can inspect it closer.
Thanks!
Hello,
I would like to hide the author name for Block 1 for example, and I’ve used the css code you mentionned above but it’s not working (please see bottom section “Test” http://genres.paris)
Also, I’d like to hide the comment icon but only for block 1. Is it possible ?
Thank you !
Olivier
Hi,
I’m trying to do something to improve the Page Speed on Mobile
I currently have 94 desktops and only 74 of the mobile
… the difference seems too high: can there is nothing to do?
The Page Speed suggestions for mobile are the usual:
Delete JavaScript and CSS that block the view in above-the-fold content
Remove JavaScript:
http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.1/jquery.min.js
…content/plugins/cookie-notice/js/front.js
…/themes/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js
/wp-includes/js/comment-reply.min.js
Optimize delivery CSS
http://fonts.googleapis.com/…,400italic,600italic,400,600,700&ver=6.7
http://fonts.googleapis.com/…,400italic,700,500italic,400,300&ver=6.7
http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Droid+Serif:400,700&ver=6.7
…content/themes/Newspaper/style.css?ver=6.7
Anyone has any suggestions or managed in some way to improve the situation by changing the code?
If nothing is possible the developers have in mind this critical for future versions?
Thanks!
Hi Andrei,
thank you for pointing out the concerning documentation parts and yes, now also the ajax post view counter has been enabled. And is ok now and well understood how the WPP filter and the theme unique content works. But, sorry, even after your suggested settings, I still have a quite big misalignement between the WPP statistics and what it is supposed to be the real visits. For example, if you see the 24h WPP stats (http://screencast.com/t/qsZIfuhCvp) and 7days WPP posts stats (http://screencast.com/t/VSRrTY45rVLk), considering that the post’s creation date is the 30/03/2016, their WPP statistics should be coincident and that is not the case, why?
Moreover, things doesn’t changes for older posts: for example for a post dated 21/03/2016 (i.e. date > 7 days ago) there is a lot of misalignement between the following items:
– Google analytics stats (http://screencast.com/t/KlCXDgjfYBh2) which says 7 visits;
– all time WPP stats (http://screencast.com/t/pb3zHEOqJEqo) which says 48 visits;
– last 30 days stats (http://screencast.com/t/tIp4ZoUbp6) which says 48 visits too;
– last 7 days stats (http://screencast.com/t/pLUlHH5lGHOF) which says 33 visits;
– last 24 stats (http://screencast.com/t/RYcPCLZnL) which says only 7 visits as Google Analytics says!
– post view counter (http://screencast.com/t/FIoU6HzUgLZ) which counts 364 visits!!
I’d expected that all-time, last 30 days and last 7 days statistics must be coincident and it is not the case, why? This way, who knows how many visits have received this post?? And all the cache was cleared by means of “WPP->tools->empty cache” and “WPP->tools->empty all data” too on 23/03/2016 so that the WPP stats should be fresh and aligned.
Thank you very much indeed for any clarification on this stats meaning you could give to me which is struggling and confusing me a lot.
Giuseppe

Hello masc,
Unfortunately, is not exist a general code for all kinds of Grids. Please notice that you have to change the number of the grid for each of them.
Example for Big Grid 5, style 1
.td_block_big_grid_5.td-grid-style-1 .entry-title {
background-color: rgba(77,18,23,.9);
}
Example fro Big Grid 6, style 4
.td_block_big_grid_6.td-grid-style-4 .entry-title {
background-color: rgba(77,18,23,.9);
}
Thanks.
Hi all!
First I want to say thank you for making an amazing theme, absolutely love it. I’m just running into a few issues that I do not know how to address. They seem minor but maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
1. I’ve set my blog to “Latest Posts” as I could not seem to find out how to make the posts on the main page exactly like the “Classic Blog Demo.” What I mean is I could not figure out how to make posts look like this. So that being said I just set the blog to have “Latest Posts” but when I choose the “Summary” tab in reading, the posts do not go to excerpt size but are still full length.” Is there a way to achieve the short excerpt size like in the example while maintaining the same appearance as the demo?
2. I can’t seem to access the visual editor within posts. So when I actually go to edit a post, I can only access the information and edit using the “Text” Tab and not the editor. Any idea why this might be happening? When I click “Visual” it is just blank.
This is all for now!
