First the css you provided won’t work because the syntax is not correct, the correct code should be written like this, with . before every class:

@media (max-width: 768px){ .td-pb-span4 .wpb_column .vc_column_container { display: none; } }

Second, I don’t know what widget do you want to hide, so for example if you want to hide this widgetised sidebar: http://screencast.com/t/eXMQ079q the css will look like this:

@media (max-width: 767px){
.wpb_widgetised_column{
display: none;
}
}

I’ve targeted the element’s css class and applied a css property on it. Note that you may need a more specific target, depending by your widget position, like here for example: http://screencast.com/t/kWGoS3gdoVPW

display: none;
}

First you have to create your layout in VC then switch in Backend editor, copy the code and paste it inside the function like in the above example.

I don’t particularly care what color the button is, as long as it’s bright and visible (not gray or muted color).

What colors ARE supported by the button shortcodes? I need the easiest solution for a non-web person to be able to create a new post and add a color button.

I need this to be very easy…. the whole point of shortcodes is to make it user-friendly, correct? That is what I need.

I did not manually create any custom codes in the past. I simply copied &amp; pasted the working button code from a source code and pasted it into the source code of another post so the button would work. This is not a solution that will work for my company long-term. I require the shortcodes to work as expected.

Google doesn’t accept you based on the originality, importance, or type of content you’re publishing. Nothing to do with the theme.

You might try some of the forums online related to issues with Google AdSense acceptance.

Basically if your site has a lot of “copied” content from other sources, has questionable content topics against their policies, is located in certain countries, has misleading or confusing URL/domain too similar to a brand, if your site is nothing more than YouTube videos, etc., then they don’t feel you should be showing their ads.

In other words:
a) original content
b) images not taken from other sites
c) some youtube videos along with original content; not just parroting videos from elsewhere
d) content which is not too short — meaning, one paragraph does not make a post
e) remove any affiliate, text links, or inserted content which leads elsewhere or is masked, popups, etc.
f) make sure no hate speech, racism, attacks against anything in particular

You need to carefully read all their requirements in depth, see examples, look at other sites in relation to your own, remove copied content taken from other places, copied photos from other sites, avoid lots of video posts with no content other than video, etc.

They are not obligated to let you in their program, so you actually have to have a site they think is useful in some way.
