Hi,

You could use some Css to change the category tag color on the modules, like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/FoioYixMs1tQ
This could be used on particular blocks as well
https://www.screencast.com/t/AOZJVlxo8
This is the code used in the first example, you must enter it in Theme panel->Custom Css and change the color to what you want to use

.td-post-category {
background-color: red;
}

Here is a link to a tutorial explaining how you can use the browser inspector to identify the elements on the page and their classes, in order to create custom code that you can use in the theme panel
https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
This way you can make minor customization to some elements, that are not available as an option at the moment.

Thanks

Hi,

I do not understand exactly what you are trying to achieve. By default a Big Grid added on a page, displays like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/WNjwo9Py and it fits perfectly with the rest of the elements on the page, in the page container. There is no need to add custom padding and margins to make this happen
https://www.screencast.com/t/5VpC86XVZy
The Big grid will be aligned properly with the rest of the content with the default values
https://www.screencast.com/t/MzdLKXxJ
Try and remove any of these custom values set in the row settings, or through a custom class set on the block and it will display as you want.

Thanks

Hello,

We will need more details about how you set the block. Please provide a screenshot of the block settings you applied to your block. This is a public forum so do not post account information here.
This guide should help with the block settings: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

Thank you!

Hi,

There is no option to make the block to rotate posts or other content, if that is what you want. The block will display posts depending on the filtering and sorting settings set. Here you can find all the available options for the blocks
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
You can see how all the blocks look in different layouts in the live demo
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
It is up to you to decide what you would like to use for the purpose you want. I am sorry for overlooking the respective questions, I know that time is short and we have to make the best of it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks

Hi,

I’m having problem with displaying blockquotes in backend editor.

After changing appearance in theme panel (http://prntscr.com/f1mccq) it still shows extremely large and ugly quotes in the editor as you can see here: http://prntscr.com/f1m9v5

On front it looks ok: http://prntscr.com/f1mb71

How to make it looks the same in both backend and frontend? It is very inconvenient at the moment for editors to work.

Hope you can help.

After updating to the newest version there are problem with white space before and after block content.
https://www.screencast.com/t/CxjbXSi4

1. More white space after block heading
2. Very little white space before next block heading

Please help to sort out the problem

To be fair, the description doesn’t say “set your own custom widths” anywhere, either, and there is a link to full theme documentation prior to purchase.

However, you *can* hack the CSS yourself for ANY theme, you just need to be prepared to adjust some things since the fixed layouts (as shown in all their demos), have certain blocks and elements designed to “fit” the base width in pixels, and then adjust on viewport for responsive layouts.

Many have done so, but you need to understand how CSS works and experiment to see if you can get the result you want.

(I don’t work here)

Hi,

The ajax filter can be set by type, and filtered by specific category Id for example
https://www.screencast.com/t/VpIoSBDDlUJ
There you must enter the category Id’s that you want to display on the block
https://www.screencast.com/t/Zm2gt3uh
More information about the block options and settings is available here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/

Thanks

Hi!

When using one of the feed elements (Block 1, block 2…), there’s a category listing on top of the posts. How can I affect what categories show up there? Or can I?

We’re filtering certain categories, and would like to show subcategories, rather than just everything in there.

See screenshot

Also, if you do not want to use the Visual Composer, notice that you can install our Page Builder which is TagDiv Composer

Sorry how to install TagDiv Composer?

Thanks.

Hello,

1. Sorry but the mobile theme homepage layout is predefined and cannot be changed. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Block 15 is the only block in our theme that can show 2 posts on 1 column on a mobile device layout: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-15/
But unfortunately the mobile theme does not use visual composer so it is not possible through the mobile theme plugin.

2.Sorry but our theme does not have this kind of feature.

Thanks.

Hello,

The latest articles section cannot be moved in the page. They are hard-coded to stay at the bottom of the page. However, you can switch to a template that does not feature the latest articles: https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/ and then create a new block on your page named latest articles and position it where you want.

Thank you!

Hi,

I have inspected your website and I see that there are some problems with the thumbnails displayed on the Big grid and blocks used on the page. I suggest you disable all your plugins except Visual composer, clear the cache if you have one installed, then use this guide to regenerate your thumbnails
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
The theme creates the thumb sizes used on the blocks from the featured image you set for the post, maybe something is interfering with this process, try the regeneration tool and it should recreate the thumbs needed.

Thanks

I have added a widget to show popular posts in last 7 days and its not showing any post. I have already enabled 7 days posts sorting in Block Settings and Ajax View counter in Post settings in Theme Panel.

I am using WP Super Cache and Cloudflare with your recommended settings.

Thanks

Hello,

I would like to request a “feature” regarding the heading-tags h1, h2, h3, etc. As you know these tags are used to show the most important headings to visitors and search engines. We try to structure our articles by using these tags. But we see that you add h3 and h4 to many blocks eg Related Articles etc. I don’t get the logic there.

Could you remove or offer an option to use a simple div or span instead of h-tags? We manually removed the h-tags from on of our sites but as you know this causes many css problems which we need to fix manually too.

My request: remove all h-tags from blocks.

Any others who want that too?

Regards

Hello joeydekoning,

Unfortunately, this section cannot be displayed in full-width, sorry! The Stretch row is available only for Block (Big Grid 3 fullwidth for example) which can be added from Visual Composer. Please keep in mind that our theme does not have full-width and the content will not be displayed in full-width, sorry!

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

Hi,

Please make sure you have enabled post views for the posts in theme panel
https://www.screencast.com/t/TFhdIpMVk41
And also this setting in the block settings
https://www.screencast.com/t/ZkOHXuKO
The block will display posts that have the most views from the specified period, from the moment of activation. The counter will not count back for that period of time.
Caching plugins can affect this option from working properly, you can try to activate this option
https://www.screencast.com/t/kE41ZmJjyLK9
This sorting option works properly using the default options, we have not made any tests with other settings for the time period or any other customization.
Here is a topic if you would like to try adding a custom sorting option on blocks, provided by a user
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/implemented-new-sort-most-popular-among-posts-of-last-7-days/

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry but the new full grids do not yet have fonts setting for them. We will add them in future versions but for now you can only use css.
Here are the 2 codes for the 2 module types. The small ones and the big one in the middle:
.td_block_big_grid_fl_10 .td_module_mx25 .entry-title{
font-size:15px;
}
.td_block_big_grid_fl_10 .td_module_mx19 .entry-title{
font-size:20px;
}

You can add the code in the theme panel->advanced css and add different sizes for each device

Thanks.

Hello eddieor,

As you can see, the mobile theme uses the td_block_big_grid_mob_1 to display the posts for the homepage, sorted by Latest, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/OZlWE23WmtT By default, the limit of these posts are three and if you want to increase them, you should edit the theme core file which handles this limit and change it with your desire, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hnppCid9

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Thanks. I made the necessary changes to the PHP file to alter the time period and then selected “Popular (last 7 days)” after enabling it from Block Settings. But I am getting the output “No posts to display”. Check http://oi67.tinypic.com/sw3gww.jpg .
I am using W3 Total Cache. Is it possible I am not getting the desired output because of it? Is there any alternative?

Hi Bogdan,

I figured out the problem, and it has to do with a well hidden setting in the theme –
unique articles

Of course we had this enabled on the home page, but not on the category pages. Once I disabled the unique articles setting, everything worked as expected. We enabled this feature to avoid duplicate content on the homage page of the site which has a lot of blocks from various categories. Since articles sometimes use more than 1 category, this featured ensured no duplicate content on the home page — even in the sidebars!

The sidebar we were using on the home page was being filtered out by this feature!

I think the unique articles feature option should be used with great care. I wonder if there is a way to highlight on the edit page that this is turned on somehow? Right now it’s buried behind a tab under the content.

Thanks for your help.

ps. I am glad I didn’t follow your advice to start troubleshooting the website, Newspaper works great so I could not imagine something like this would be caused by a conflict — we’re good about not doing crazy things like this, although you never know do you?
