i already placed ad using theme panel and enabled. i haven’t made changes, after theme update.

temporary i placed ads below post title using plugin.

Please help up, For this ad blocking rules cant affect for my some post same like other ads.

Found it. Got the same problem.
Go to Visual Compose tab on the left menu of WordPress Back end.
Then go Role Manager for administrator tab and scroll down.
There you will find a list with all elements of visual editor. just check the extra blocks and grids and weather and exchange etc that came with the new update. After that, new grids etc will show in the visual editor when you edit a page

Yes I understand – please don’t get me wrong I’m a massive fan of the theme – but things are moving on – I’m just thinking of the future development of Newspaper – mobile is the way forward – AMP/FB Instant etc – so a mobile site must be as close as possible to instant, clearly it can’t be instant but it does need 2 seconds max in load time. Newspaper 7 mobile therefore is a great thing.

However for a news outlet with a large following/visitors, it’s pointless investing in lots of blocks and widgets on a sophisticated home page, so though I still use the theme I’ve stripped it back to basically a roll of articles with one grid and one block. Others will do the same, and all of then sell their own ads on these sites and so need the flexibility.

Recently AdRotate’s author planned to remove mobile ads (except Google type) from his plugin settings, there were so many people begging him not to for this reason that he left it the same so sold ads could appear. If a site owner has developed an inventory of ad positions and prices over two years, he/she then can’t just change these positions when people may have paid for a year or so. It would be the right thing to develop this so a site owner can switch the same options on for the mobile theme if he/she needs them, it can’t be that difficult to do and will keep customers with Newspaper 7+

We get often this question regarding the differences between our themes. I can tell you that the both themes share the same core so their functionality and performances are similar. The main differences are in designs/appearances and the content area width which slightly differs from one theme to another. Newspaper’s grid width is 1068px while Newsmag’s width is 1021px and the newsmag’s theme grid has been designed to support the borders you notice between sections of a page: http://screencast.com/t/pNkgzN1Kn8Y5

Other differences are also appear regarding features, some of the blocks are present on one and missing on the other, for example you could check the Features menu items from each theme live demo and see blocks, modules, post templates… are present in each theme and the design differences – http://screencast.com/t/p87JJpieJd

Speaking from a development point of view Newspaper theme is more complex then Newsmag. Among the differences I can enumerate these ones:
– Newspaper have more blocks, grids and another widgets which arenot included in Newsmag yet.
– Newspaper have more smart-lists available. There are 8 types of smart-lists while Newsmag have 4.
– more posts templates are available for Newspaper, 14 and for Newsmag are only 9 at the moment.
– ad system offers more options fro Newspaper then for Newsmag

We are constantly working on multiple updates for both themes. Adding further features is always a goal of ours. At the moment we work on a major update for Newsmag theme, new features will be added which will make the theme more complex and also its flexibility will be improved.

Unfortunately this error could come from a big number of problems. I believe it happens due to a server configuration which is not responding, it could be due to a delay or it could also be a temporary issue so you can try this a few times and if you still get this error please contact your host provider and let him know about this, ask them to unblock our demo in order to retrieve the theme data. It could also happen due to your wp install or other plugins might also cause this. Also make sure that your permission for the upload folder are set correct. You can check this by trying to upload an image in media library. If the process succeeds then the permission are ok. If not you can use the c-panel to change permissions (set them to 777) or if you do not have access to the cpanel, please contact your hosting provider.

At the moment unique article feature display unique posts only at page first load. For example if you have on page three blocks whit pagination when the page is loaded all post are unique but if you click next/prev buttons for one block duplicate posts will appear.
We still looking for a way to extend unique article feature at ajax pagination and maybe in future we will find a solution.

OKay – fixed the issue.

The theme was blocking the visual editor – a setting in the ‘users’ tab. This was unticked for users but still was blocked.

We created a new user and then the tabs started showing. So we will reset all of our users now.

1) I do not get, what you are explaining. Sorry. Is it possible, to make a short video where you can show how to do this? And is this custom .td-menu-blocks-custom predefined?

2) Yes I know what you mean, that thumbs are not shown because of deactivating. But instead of the picture another thumb is shown to me : http://www.travelisfun.de/ –> watch the first row with those three pictures. So instead of the post picture the thumb picture is shown to me. Where is the advantage of this? I mean, for google a picture is still load, isn’t it? Hope you understand, what I mean.

For the missing checkbox for the category “Articles”, I found that the reason for this was because “Articles” was set as a default category and default categories can’t be deleted.

Regarding the custom post type “Magazines” posts not showing together with regular posts, it was a visual composer setting where I had to click “edit” on the Visual Composer block where the posts would show, clicking the “filter” tab and specifying the custom post type in the field “Post Type”.

I found a way by just eliminated the top posts from each category and adding the shortcode to the proper template in my child theme:
