Hello,
I activated the Retina mode for all the thumbs of my website. All of my images now display in HD quality and I’m very happy about that. But there’s still “Flex Block 4” sub images which are still displaying in low quality. I will provide screenshot to be more clear :

How can I make theses thumbs retina ?
Thanks Simion … that Meta info on Modules/Blocks tip worked.
Hello,
Thanks for your answer! But I can”t find this option in my tag div composer. Here’s the screenshot :

Thank you!
Hi,
I have added a Gutenberg block ‘audio player’ in a draft post. When I click to play it in the TagDiv template preview window a ‘blue box’ appears around the player.
Is there a way to remove this blue box?
Thanks
Hi Vlad,
Thanks for the reply.
I followed your suggestion; unfortunately, it didn’t work.
Having set/saved the post text colour in the theme panel (#eeeeee), I then return to the draft WordPress post and change a Gutenberg block text colour to black, from white (so that I can again clearly read it).
I then return to the ‘preview post’ in the TagDiv composer and refresh it.
The text has changed from the bright #eeeeee colour to a dark grey; making it hard to see against the dark background.
Somehow the TagDiv text colour is affecting the draft post editor text colour – or vice versa.
The Gutenberg draft text has to be set to be ‘white’ in order for the #eeeeee colour to clearly show against the darker TagDiv composer post background.
Do you have any more clues or suggestions?
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide some more details about the settings you’ve made and some screenshots.
You can check more details about flex blocks in our documentation for Flex Block Settings Guide https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ -> http://prntscr.com/onbgal also be careful to the sort order you chose.
Thank you!
Hi,
1. So you have created a page besides the homepage. Pages can display any posts you want, the blocks have an extensive filtering and sorting options, please see this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/
Posts that appear in blocks will lead to the post page.
So for example you can place 5 blocks, each can show posts from your desired categories. Most sorting methods are dynamic, an exception would the featured method
– https://prnt.sc/onaz3p
If you would like to make a block or grid display specific posts, you could sort by featured for more control. That means that only posts that you assign to the Featured category will appear in that element – https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
If you add just one post in the featured category, that will be displayed in the block until another one is added, and so on.
2. Each block or grid can be filtered as a whole. So it is not possible to filter it to show 3 posts from one specific category, and 2 from another – https://prnt.sc/onb1tz
Use multiple blocks to have a different filtering set on them.
3. One way is to use the featured sort, as mentioned in my first answer. But the posts will still cycle as you enter more in the featured category.
You could enter post IDs manually in the provided filter – https://prnt.sc/onb38k
Once post IDs are entered there, that block or grid will always show only those posts, until you edit the page and replace/remove them.
The filtering and sorting will affect the block or grid as a whole, the posts will be displayed accordingly. There can’t be a static (sticky) post in one module while the rest use a different sort.
4. Some footer styles come with predefined content, this content can’t be changed. The widgets you mention are 2 block 7 widgets and a popular category widget, that are predefined in the footer, they can’t be removed or customized.
If you want to replicate this but with your own settings, you can choose an empty footer template – https://prnt.sc/onb6qy and add a block 7 widget in the first and second footer section, and a popular category in the third – https://prnt.sc/onb7gj COnfigure them as you want. The popular category widget will show categories which have the most posts in them automatically.
The theme provides an option to set a footer page instead of a template. So you can also create a page and set it to appear in the footer, instead of a template.
5. I believe you are referring to the email in the footer
– https://prnt.sc/onb9rt
Like other elements the color of the email link will be the theme accent color
– https://prnt.sc/onba0q
A dedicated setting just for the email isn’t available unfortunately. However I could give you a code to change it’s color without changing thew theme accent color
– https://prnt.sc/onbbz1
The code can be entered in the Theme panel->Custom code->CSS section
– https://prnt.sc/onbc7d – https://pastebin.com/8aeM6F9a
Please let me know if I missed something.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately on News ticker and the blocks you select can not be select the h tag, if you want to set the h2 on those blocks http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/31/5/1564700320-capturetagdiv35.png
http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2019/31/5/1564700320-capturetagdiv36.png
you’ll need to replace those blocks with flex blocks http://prntscr.com/onbbfg you can check more about the Flex Block Settings Guide here https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/
Unfortunately for the News ticker this can be achieve only if you make chnages in theme code and those changes will be apply to whole website.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello !
The fonts and more option can be edited by using the tagDiv Composer. Simply click on the block you want to edit and go into the STYLE tab. There you will see many modifications available for the block: https://www.screencast.com/t/okAi1MMPBt
It is weird that you have 2 exactly the same blocks and different fonts. Maybe that could be a plugin conflict. Try disabling all of your non-theme related plugins and see wich one creates a problem.
Thank you !
Hi,
Unfortunately I do not understand to what “Blog feed” you are referring, please provide some more details an some screenshots!
If you want to set the image in flex block 1 to be round, then you should do those settings http://prntscr.com/onarmn
If this is not what you mean, please provide some more details and a link where I can check your current flex layout.
Thank you!
Hello !
My colleague answered on this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cannot-change-the-block-title-h4-in-h2-after-newspaper-9-7-update/
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you !
Hello !
Please tell me the number of the block or if it’s a homepage. I cannot seem to find the blocks that you are seeing in any of those. https://www.screencast.com/t/6xEdJUWP
Thank you !
Hi,
@meri You could use flex blocks, these now have options to change the heading of the title (since update 9.7.4) – https://prnt.sc/onaohm – https://prnt.sc/onaoo8
The options is available for all the flex blocks.
However, if you would like to modify a block template, that is possible to do in a child theme now. So for example if you use block template 3, copy it in the child theme like so
– https://prnt.sc/onapsr then modify the heading from h4 to what you want.
If you have more questions let me know.
Thanks
1. Can you tell me how to change the color of the red bit next to the categories on the latest articles block? I have hunted high and low for it.
2. On my about us page, i used one of the new templates. is the header image set to fade in slowly or something? It seems to load very slow compared to all the other images on the site. https://vapesinthehood.com/about-us/.
3. behind the logo on my category pages there appear to be some breadcrumbs. I have turned these off in the theme panel so I’m not sure how those are showing?
4. also the pin button at the top of the posts in the share section is small compared to the rest. Is there a fix for that?
thanks
Hi Simion,
These may be my last questions before I activate all 4 websites and licenses.
Grateful for your answers. I was told to pick a post page. I deactivated a post page, and keeping TagDiv on every page, so that issue is solved but still the other issue exists which is…
1.I have a news page that is NOT the home page and there is no designated post page. But I also have other categories. How do I choose for some articles within their own category or general posts to go on the main news page that I created as a the page to receive all news, but some articles to only go on the specific category page I like to choose and not show in the first page of the main news page? And how do I keep one specific post at the top and not let new post drop it down?
2. In the Tag builder, how do I command a block, or a grid with news to be which category I want in that page, or even lets say in a block of 5 to have 3 articles from one category and 2 of them from other categories? So If I have 8 different blocks, or categories on a page, how do I differentiate them and their content?
3. How to tell the TagDiv system to keep an article active in the main news page, (Not Home Page) or category and not be filtered down by new posts, and or tell a block or grid of 3 or 5, to keep one important post permanent active while the other posts to rotate based on new posts? And would your answer apply the same way for the home page?
4. How do I change the Footer content of Fuetures, Popular, or editors choice based on pages or categories. For example, if I have category of finance, I may want the category economics and politics in the footer popular/editor choice, future article sections, rather than having it site wide? Or I may want certain posts.
5. The footer content has a section “Email US” But it is blue and hard to read, I don’t a section in the Theme Colors to change that to white since the background is black?
Thank you Very Much Simion,
Best,
Cyrus
Hi there,
I’m using tagDiv’s blocks in order to customize my sidebars but I have an issue with the fonts in one of the blocks. As you can see here, I’m using the header block 1 for the header. The problem is that it shows a “nothing-to-do” font and I don’t know how to change it.
The funny thing is I’m using the same sidebar widget in the Authors page template and there it shows one better, and proper font.
In any of both cases, I would like to know how to change that header font and why it’s showing two different fonts in both pages (regular post page and authors template page).
Hope you guys can help me with this.
Thanks!
Hi Bogdan,
Can you please specify where exactly we have to make a change (and which change) to turn the H4 block titles into H2?
Thanks
Hi,
You’ll need to set Offset posts on each block in function of the Limit post number http://prntscr.com/omuy31 also you can use the “Unique Articles” http://prntscr.com/omuzqk ->https://forum.tagdiv.com/unique-articles/
Thank you!
Hello !
Sorry for missunderstanding your issue. Plese take a look at this topic regarding the same matter: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/cannot-change-the-block-title-h4-in-h2-after-newspaper-9-7-update/ You will have to get into the code and edit it.
Thank you !
Hi,
They won’t appear in pages even if you set them. The theme page templates don’t display the featured image – https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
While a featured image can be set, it is used only when the composer blocks and grids are set to display pages, as a thumbnail.
Please provide some more details about what you want to achieve within a page, and I will try to help you. Let me know.
Thanks
Hi,
I’m trying to do multiple categories filter on the homepage but it doesn’t show up in the header of block 1.
I actually tried with Beauty blog Demo but it didn’t show up either. At that time, I thought it might work actual posts but nope, it doesn’t.
I followed the tutorial and everything else is working except multiple categories header in the block.
Could you please check it for me?
Cheers,
My mistake, I forgot to make a modification in the code before pasting it here. Remove it and add this one, should work fine now
@media(max-width: 767px){
.category .td-main-sidebar .td_block_instagram,
.single .td-main-sidebar .td_block_instagram,
.category .td-main-sidebar .td_block_15 .td-cust-row:nth-child(2),
.single .td-main-sidebar .td_block_15 .td-cust-row:nth-child(2) {
display: none;
}}
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
I get this following error when trying to change the default image used in tagDiv Composer after adding the “Inline single Image” element:
“Invalid data Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)”
I was attempting to change the image that tagDiv Composer used by default in this “Inline single Image” element by clicking on the small thumb of the image near top of left side of it’s settings panel.
I also tried removing the existing image first using the link for that, and then adding an image from the media library. However, this also results in the same error.
I then also tried this same thing by trying to change the default image used in the “Column Content” element, this also results in the same error.
Further, if I exit out of tagDiv Composer and edit using the Classic Editor instead and then attempt to add an image from the media library using the Add Media button it just silently fails with no errors shown. It does open the media library and I can browse/select an image, but the image just never gets placed on the page.
If I use the Backend block editor (WP Bakery Page Builder), choose and add an image element to an existing page this does indeed add an image. Why is this not working in tagDiv Composer or the Classic Editor?
However, in any of the wysiwyg html editors, like provided in a text block in WP Bakery Page Builder, using the Add Media button also fails same as in the Classic Editor.
Please help.
Hi,
I don’t get it. Your screenshot shows how to change the size but that’s the H tag I want to change, not the size. At the moment block titles are H4 and I want them to be H2 for SEO purposes. Can you help?
Thanks
