I do not know exactly what needs to be done to achieve something like that. The Visual composer plugin is very complex, and no solution was provided before for this. Also the theme does not have an option to support this implementation. It would be best to try and use the default options for the blocks, because they already have settings to help you sort and filter the content that is displayed

You just need to enter one or more post or page Id’s and the block will display them only, until you change the entered data or remove this condition. This is useful when you want to display particular posts in a block or big grid, always.

If you are talking about excerpts, notice that all of these appears only on blocks in homepage and if you want to handle the length of them you can do it from Theme panel, according to your blocks used by you, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/rxcoQWors Notice that the subtitle is not the same thing with the Excerpts. If you would like to move the title on that block module, you need to edit the module file. There is no option by default to make a modification like that. Each module is predefined and has it’s own style. The file you must edit is this – https://www.screencast.com/t/8ciOaazxZ01H

If you want to do this, you should use a bit of CSS code. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Cusotm CSS area.

Hi,

The post filter on the blocks works by entering specific post Id’s in the required field. This must be done manually by identifying the post Id and entering it. There is no option to have an autocomplete function for the field. If you want to implement something like this it would probably need modifications to the plugin, and that would not be an easy task.

The best image to use is a full hd image of 1920 x 1080 as the theme creates thumbnails for each case in particular and the full size will not be used on the site except when accessing the image itself.
There is no best or worst aspect ratio as the theme creates thumbs if the image is large enough as there is a cropping system that will get the size it needs for the thumb from your image. The main issue is the size. In order to prevent the spaces for the images, you need to have a featured image larger than the container in the grid. The theme crops images but it does not enlarge them. If your images are bigger than the container, you probably did not regenerate the thumbnails. This is actually a WordPress trick. Our theme only uses the date from WordPress on it’s modules and blocks but you can add the time to the date code as well. You can add the time in the custom date setting like so: F j, Y, g:i A : http://screencast.com/t/vkDY3VK2o and now you will have something like this: http://screencast.com/t/xbt8qgRy7k6s

The Visual composer editor is an important part of the theme, with it you can create unique page design using the featured blocks, grids and other elements. This editor is one of the key advantages of the theme providing many customization possibilities. If you choose not to use it this will limit capabilities in this regard. You can use the theme without Visual composer, but with limited customization options.
