We didn’t tested the WP Rocket plugin with the theme so it’s may be a chance to appear some issues with its usage. We recommend WP Super Cache as a cache plugin and you can find more details about its configuration with our theme in our documentation here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

You likely will need to change your settings for WP super cache per the theme docs.

Since hitting refresh on the page does not show an increment when page is reloaded, it’s not working properly due to your caching setup.

Here is one example of the articles where the likes disappeared, its definitely not the cache. http://www.fashionghana.com/site/hot-shots-cape-verde-beauty-at-its-finest-isilda-moreira-by-luc-valigny/ And its too risky at this moment to revert to the old theme just to test.

I did change to the Newspaper Theme a month ago and am also missing many Facebook likes on my posts. I did flush the cache and checked the facebook id etc. Everything should be working properly but am still not seeing the number of Facebook likes that where there originally.

I’ve checked your site on mobile devices and the ads are displayed fine now: http://screencast.com/t/9MvGougPQ2O I am not sure why ads are not displayed fine on your side but you can try to empty phone cache memory and test again. Also you can try by deactivating all others plugins except Visual composer, then check is the problem is still there.

as I can see, styles are no longer with links as scripts are .. progress 🙂 but not for Pagespeed

Please make sure that you update the theme according with our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/ Also make sure that you updated the Visual Composer plugin from the same path with the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/ deactivate all others plugins except Visual Composer, clear all caches and test again.

The theme code was tested and optimized for best performance, we have a lot of clients and the theme works well on a large variety of hosts.
First please make sure that you use the recommended server configuration for Newspaper theme, you can check our documentation for more details: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
There are lots of factors that influence the site’s page-sped. I suggest you first try this without any other plugins active, leave just VC plugin active the check again. To improve the loading speed look the mysql query cache: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/query-cache.html we also use it on our demo.
Also you can use the speed booster to move the js and css at the bottom of the page, eliminate render-blocking, but not for all plugins. Check the System Status if the speed booster is active if you use other plugins than the tested ones.
