Activate page cache, browser cache (leave database and object off) and cdn if you use one, this should work.
If you want you can activate minify on manual mode and add each css and js file one step of a time and check if the site still works.
I did not managed to handle style.css which one added to minification would break everything!

hi,
try uninstalling all plugins, and see if the counter works, if it works enable the plugins one by one to see witch one breaks the counter.

if you are using W3 Total Cache, my advice is top remove it completely, since we had situation when it remain enabled even if we disable it.

hope this help

Thanks for you message.

Hello, does the live search work for anyone since 3.8.33.8.2 update ?
I disabled W3 Total Cache and still does not work..

What’s more annoying is that there are inconsistencies in developers’ changelog, i see one version in my theme panel and other version in the changelog file from the freshly downloaded zip.. 🙁

[ V 3.8.2 ]
- fixed missing image from facebook shares on video post formats
- usability improvements in the fonts selection panel
- fixed pagebuilder icons style
- posts with pagination register only one view per page (more accurate page view counter)
- we updated the revolution slider plugin to the latest version
- speed booster plugin - revolution slider is now compatible
- speed booster plugin - improved compatibility with jetpack
- fixed text and title widget issue when visual composer plugin is not installed
- fixed bbPress freshness date/username
- tagDiv social counter - fixed twitter issue again (please update the plugin)

Are these infos accurate? did i installed version 3.8.2 today or 3.8.33.8.2 ?

THis might or might not help… but:

Try logging out, and clearing your cache in your web browser (I did that this morning); restart browser, log back in, then try download from your account “downloads” screen?

You may be connecting from a shared/pool IP address which pools all users, and ThemeForest might be counting all those who have downloaded from what they think is one location.

This has worked for me on other sites. I have dedicated IP here, so I don’t run into that anymore, but have in past.

Hi,

@Christopher
we fixed this issue with the stock theme some time ago. The style and js is called with style.css?v=theme_version – so with each theme release, we serve different style url so that it won’t be cache.

@MobileCuisine
i’ve tested your site and it now looks the same on all the browsers http://screencast.com/t/KPdkQgqSu . It may be a caching issue as Christopher pointed out

@Radu when ever I try to enable CSS minify in W3 total cache my whole site crashes and only adsense ads are displayed.

Hi, don’t know if this will help … we had this same issue on one site and was driving me crazy. Turns out the CSS had been cached by the visitor’s browser, and so when they returned it would show them old layouts/missing elements etc.

In our case, we had to turn OFF the caching and mod_pagespeed entirely for several days on the site to let everybody load the new CSS/JS stuff and not the old stuff. Then the refresh worked for folks where their browser wasn’t clearing the cache properly. Tended to be more often with Firefox.

I waited 4 days then turned the caching and mod_pagespeed back on and it seemed to have solved the problem.

Not sure this will apply to your case, but might be worth a try.

It has recently been brought to my attention that my site is giving people using different browsers some problems.

My site http://mobile-cuisine.com

So I use Chrome as my go to browser and never see the problems some of my readers have until they tell me.

Firefox: Doesn’t refresh…if you go there now you’ll see an article a couple of days old, not the most current one.

Safari: Not showing most recent articles.

IE 9: If you open the site again, the newest articles are not showing up as they should (like Firefox). Also, if you look at the lower blocks I have setup, images seem to bust out of the container setup for their image.

I don’t have any problems in Chrome so I am a bit confused…it seems like a cache thing…but I have no idea how to correct this.

Please help

Hi,
Unfortunately we do not provide support for 3rd party plugins that are not made by us. From what I know disqus should update the comment count automatically but I think there is some kind of cache on your site and that’s why you cannot update the theme and the comments are not shown.

Sorry about that.

Hello,

I’m using W3 Total Cache plugin as per your recommendations. I’m only using page cache, but i still have issues with cache on the site.

For example, when i do logout through login-form plugin (placed in top header), i still see my self logged in, and if i publish a new posts it won’t show on the BigSlide.

All problems disappear when i disable W3 Total CAche plugin.

There are many other parameters on the plugin, i’m not sure that everything is as it should be. I’m sending my W3 Total Cache configuration to you by mail.

Thanks for your help

Hi,

@uzairfreak
you are getting a very good speed.
from here: http://screencast.com/t/sGX4rgLlfkA

1. the files are served to slow by your server – use a cdn or … if you are familiar with nginx use that instead of apache
2. try to manually compress the css using an online css compressor maybe that will make get a better score without updating / configuring the server

The speed booster plugin is working on your site (make sure that you empty the cache when you test with or without it).

sorry for the delay… we try to answer all of the questions as fast as we can.

@Vinay
Prajapati – please give me your site url!

@mixvice
– our speed booster plugin is moving all the stuff at the bottom

@Steven
– google’s pagespeed tools gives a better score with css at the bottom but you lose html5 validation 😐 .

Hi,
You can use the W3 total cache but only with page cache enable.

If you enable minify will cause issue.

Thanks for the message!

Minify your css and html, I think it will add at least 6-7 points.
But can I ask how you did remove render-blocking javascript files, because that’s my only problem in pagespeed.

http://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thenerdmag.com%2F&tab=mobile

You can minify your css and html via W3 cache. I’d be glad if you could say how you dealt with javascript files.

Hi Marius and thanks for your support! It seems to be a conflict with W3 Total Cache Plugin. After deactivating it, the arrows appeared again.

Following my current beta location: http://hashtagsport.de/beta/

Hi,
DO you use cache? Empty the cache the try in Incognito mode (browse in private) to be sure the content is not cached.

Thanks!

Hi,

@london789
the tagDiv Speed Booster is incompatible only with Rev Slider from our recommended/optional plugins list. https://forum.tagdiv.com/installation/

About the page speed you need to analyze your site using Page speed insights or gmatrix and resolve all the issues reported.

On our demo we use only the Speed Booster + W3 with page cache enable + a good server configuration.

You can read here some tips about the page speed: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/pagespeed/

Hope this help!
Thanks for the message!

Hello Radu and thank you for the reply. I am still using your theme in allof our subdomains. This is where our content lives. Ex: Greece.greekreporter.com. We are using WP Super Cache. We would love to use your theme on our homepage too but it doesn’t pull in the images from our subdomains. We use WP MS. Our host is Media Temple and we have a pretty powerful VPS with them.

If you stumble upon a specific error or find a solution please let us know. Thank you in advance!

Thanks Marius – is there anything else the tagDiv Speed Booster isn’t compatible with ? If not I may give it a try.

My page speed scores are 31 mobile and 41 desktop. I have done the W3 cache as described in the tagdiv support page but not done Speed Booster yet.

Anyone else having trouble with the visual composer after the update to WP 3.9.1 with the above mentioned htaccess settings? It seems to be a problem in the compression code:

RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{HTTP:Accept-Encoding} .*gzip.*
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME}.gz -f
RewriteRule (.*)\.html$ $1\.html.gz [L]
RewriteRule (.*)\.htm$ $1\.htm.gz [L]
RewriteRule (.*)\.js$ $1\.js.gz [L]
RewriteRule (.*)\.css$ $1\.css.gz [L]
AddEncoding x-gzip .gz

ExpiresActive On
Header set Cache-Control “public”
ExpiresDefault A1209600
ExpiresByType text/javascript A300
ExpiresByType text/css A300
ExpiresByType image/gif A300

After I remove these lines it works perfectly again. But also brings my pagespeed score from 96 to 34 :/:/:/ wtf:(

Anyone a tip? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

@bhaa
if you have error logging enabled, you can find a file named errorlog usually in one of the folders in the root of your ftp directory. If you give me ftp access I can try to retrieve it. contact@tagdiv.com – also are you using a caching plugin?

@nusagrunge
and @anastasios – are you using a caching plugin? are you using a properly configured server? For example a stock vps from some of the hosting providers do not come with good default configurations for wordpress.

@anastasios
– I see that you are no longer using our theme 😐 – even with the current theme your server seems to be running with configurations that are not so good http://screencast.com/t/RQrRiDhv please enable compression and make sure that you have php opcache .
