Hi riminisparita, as long you do not made changes in theme files or theme plugins, there will be no problems to make the theme update, the theme panel setting are saved in database.
If you made change you can use our guide for child theme, also there are more methods to update the theme, you can check our guide from here -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/

Hi epromd,
If you are using WordPress v5.5, you must use the last version of Newspaper theme too, only this will work on this version of WordPress.
Also if you already have Newspaper 10.3.6.1 and you have this problem, then try the below steps:
1. Disable tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/uzBdRB9.png
2. delete tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/xGGfYE7.png
3. Reinstall tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/Ay0zJHn.png or -> https://i.imgur.com/ZMgV9at.png
4. Clear all cache from your website, host and browser ( for browser use force refresh Ctrl Shift R ).
Usually the “Invalid reply from server endpoint error” is caused by insufficient WP_Memory_limit, if you’ll set it to 256M, and is still not working, please check the rest of settings from our guide.
Also make sure that all theme settings are as in our guide ->
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps.
Also make sure that you are using https not http, also make sure that you have a good connection to internet.

Let me know the results!

Hi TkLbIY, usually this is a cache problem, we recommend to use WP Super Cache Plugin with the configuration form our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ you can use other cache plugin, but unfortunately know the right settings only for this one.
Also if you are using the responsive version, you can check the mobile menu using tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/2OjVQtX.png -> https://i.imgur.com/MYxJ7aT.png or if you are using the mobile theme plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/FLGPJHx.png
Hope this will help you!

Hello !

We recommend using WP Super Cache since it was the plugin used when the theme was created. Find out more in our guide here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Let us know the result.

Hi Guys,

I have installed the WP Super Cache on my website http://www.rugbyleagueplanet.com as it is the recommended cache plugin to use with tagdiv.

All works well until I enable “Cache HTTP headers with page content” IT gives me super fast speed but after a while the site stops loading correctly (Has blank pages etc). Has anyone come across this issue before and if so does anyone have a solution to resolve?

Thanks for the reply, Vlad.
I have it working with an update of the theme.
But I’m having frequent 504 errors, and my host WPEngine suggested “modifying the caching that they save to the database, seems like it’s causing some bloat, which is causing queries to be slower, which is resulting in the requests timing out and giving you 504s.” They say it’s related to these plugins: Its related to these custom plugins:
td-standard-pack
td-social-counter
td-newsletter
td-composer
td-cloud-library.

Also a ton of autoloaded tables in the database, which can cause slowness as well. 2,105,748 bytes. We want that total to be under 800k or so for good performance but yours is actually over 2mb which is definitely not good.

These are the tables over 10k:
941076 | td_011_settings |
| 283020 | td_011_remote_cache |
| 73662 | GOTMLS_definitions_array |
| 71431 | td_011 |
| 52280 | Newspaper_demo_history |
| 48843 | ampforwp_ia_exclude_post |
| 33793 | td_covid19_data |
| 31614 | redux_builder_amp |
| 27074 | jetpack_file_data |
| 24007 | fa_icons_new |
| 23338 | td_008 |
| 19849 | wpsso_options |
| 14464 | page_scroll_to_id_instances |
| 14196 | aioseop_options |
| 13235 | rewrite_rules |
| 10735 | mom_options

Please help me make sense of these.
Thanks for all your help.

1. Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

2. For that you will have to use post templates from the cloud library: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/ Those templates are fully editable using tagDiv Composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/ and reproduce your layout as the homepage.

Hi, Calin,

I followed your instructions and could delete the SVG image. Now I can upload the image. The issue is the logo is not loading. I couldn’t see any logo.

Deleted the cache. No use! Also, I have a few more issues.

1. On the mobile browser, I could see the title “Gadgets” instead of “ExcelMee” (on the header only). In the footer, it’s correct.

2. When I edit the page that already published using the TagDIV composer, once saved, the content got disappeared.

So I think it’s better to depend on the default theme 🙁

Hi,

I think I have it set up correctly; here’s what one of the posts looks like in the backend right now, but it’s still not working for me. https://imgur.com/u4jzyHY

I cleared the cache but I am still not seeing it on the video page.

Hi, I would like to know which cache plugin do you recommend for your template.. Now we are using Lite Speed Cache only for caching but minification breaks completely the appearance of the blog (don’t know why but it doesn’t work well). We used for a while Autooptimize but server hard drive turns crazy (from 2,3 Gb to 6!!!).

So, any recommendation? Many thanks.

Hi,

The related articles should work as in our guide from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-default-templates/ (also these change need to be made suing tagDiv Composer on PRO demos) and in this section should be display only related posts/articles.
Please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv plugins (theme plugins), also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
If there is still a problem, please provide me a link where I can check this problem.

Thank you!
