Hello lbartosek,
Please keep in mind that the Roboto and Opens Sans fonts are used default by the theme and there is no solution to disable them. If you want to make deeper changes in this regard, you should check the td_config.php core files and from here you should change the default theme fonts which are Open Sans and Roboto with your desired one, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/YXUNUqxE. Also, if you want to remove the Roboto Google Font you can try to remove from there, clear all your caches and check the results. For more information about this regard, please consult the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/do-i-really-need-to-change-all-the-text-fields-for-fonts/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Catalln,
I am sorry for such huge delay in answering your messages. I was on a long vacation and back then I have actually replied to the email which are no-reply email address I have noticed later.
Here is what I was trying to send you long time ago:
Hi,
I kinda understand that there is no such option and that you won’t customise it according to my need but can you explain why it has such negative effect on loading for mobile phones?
Would you be that kind and have a look at it what you’ll have time. I just enabled the lazy loading for you to have a look at it what I mean. I am still trying to make my pages as small as possible in order to load faster on mobile devices. I already tried your mobile plugin and it’s awesome regarding the page speed loading time but I kinda use different menu plugins and I haven’t managed to implement it for the mobile version yet. However, I am about to make my pages load fast on mobile devices with no use of you mobile plugin and that brings me to the lazy page loading and also I wanted to ask you how to minify newspaper JavaScript as I have tried to either combine it or even minify it but it always break my site. I have managed to combine and minify most of the js except the jQuery and newspaper js files. Any kind of help or hint would be very much appreciated. I use W3 Total Cache plugin in order to speed up my web site but as I mentioned I am having troubles to manage to minify or combine newspaper js file along with others. I tried most of the variations but none of them worked for the newspaper js file.
Thanks
Hi,
It seems that you have deeply customized the theme and there is no quick solution for this. There are custom settings set on some of the elements of the theme, and custom classes – https://www.screencast.com/t/ZYTUfI1Ctnv You must go over and check these customizations, where you have made them (theme panel or in the theme files) Or if you did not make those changes maybe a plugin could be the cause, so please try to disable all the plugins except Visual composer and the mobile theme, clear cache, purge cdn files and see if the problem is still there. A new theme install should fix this also, just delete the theme and install it again only using the required plugins that come bundled with the theme – https://forum.tagdiv.com/install-via-ftp/
Thanks
Hi,
This could be caused by a plugin or plugin conflict, so try as a test to disable all the plugins except Visual composer, clear your cache and purge cdn files, then check to see if the search is working. If the problem is not there anymore, enable the plugins one at a time to identify the one that is most likely causing this issue.
Thanks
Hello,
This could be a problem from wp super cache. If you use the plugin, please use this method to fix the issue:
Use this link and add the customization as marked here: https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows there.
Thank you!
Hi,
It seems you do not have enough posts to populate more articles. Please make sure you filter the block so it has posts to load. Are you sure the filtering you use on your block provides more than the 10 posts shown now?
If this is not the case please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
hello,
Please switch to a wp default theme to see if the issue is still present. Our theme does not impact the content that can or cannot be inserted into a post. It could also be plugin related so please disable all plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
Thank you!
Hello _pages,
I have inspected your screenshots, and I noticed that you are not right to use the theme layout with Visual Composer. You should look at this screen like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/8c1MIr2Y Also, for more information about how to use Visual Composer, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-use-visual-composer/ Make these changes, clear all your caches, purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Simon C.,
it was indeed the cache of my CDN wich, after cleared, displayed the current CSS.
The fix of the “half” compressed CSS is a plus. Thanks for the help!
Regards,
Christian
Hi,
Please check the status of your speed booster plugin – https://www.screencast.com/t/ty1sRky6 Please note that speed booster is an optional plugin, and only works with the tested plugins. If you have other plugins installed it will be disabled. Please follow this work around method provided here – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/speed-booster-not-compatible-with-vaultpress/ to make it work with other plugins. After these changes check to see if speed booster is active in theme system status, clear your cache, purge cdn files and test the site again. Also take in account that some plugins can have a negative impact on page speed, so try to use as few as possible, or uninstall the unnecessary ones. Here you can see how some of your plugins and ads are affecting page speed – https://www.screencast.com/t/uVNcHZlstdKp delaying the loading of the site.
Thanks
Hello Elevas32,
Regarding on your first problem, if you want to hide the date for modules and post pages, you can do this from Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Z2Bj7FP5XQ0y -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Z2Bj7FP5XQ0y
Please check the following topic here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-make-this/ and try to implement the last modified date as my explanation.
After each change, you should clear all your caches, purge all CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results. It will take a while until the Google will index the page because it is not a live effect.
Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,
It seems that you have not minified all the code in the theme’s style.css file – https://www.screencast.com/t/Ty63DWwQd Maybe try again by selecting all the code and use a css minification tool – http://cssminifier.com/ then paste all the resulted code in the style file. You could also check maybe there is a cache on the server side and try to clear that too.
Thanks
Hi,
If none of the solutions you tried works and you ruled out a plugin being the possible cause for this, please check if gd library is enabled on the server as it is required for the image processing, so contact you hosting provider and ask them about this. If that is the case and a solution is provided in that regard, then try and use the regenerate thumbnails tool and also clear your cache.
Thanks
Hi,
Please check this tutorial about site speed optimization and follow the required steps provided there – https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Also read this cache configuration guide – https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Thanks
Hi,
If you are having problems with the thumbnails on blocks, try deactivating all the plugins except Visual composer, and use this guide to regenerate your thumbnails – https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ Then clear your cache and purge cdn files if you use it.
Thanks
Please disable the plugin and delete it and then activate it again as it seems the plugin is not working.
Please also disable any other plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files. Then test again.
If you still cannot get it to work, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide wp-admin so we can login and investigate. Please also provide a link to this topic so we can trace the email.
Thank you!
Hi,
This is how I see it on chrome – https://www.screencast.com/t/52JWDbTOcqyk according to the width modifications to the module thumb that are seen using chrome browser inspector – This is how it should be – https://www.screencast.com/t/9yM2fqdsz So the changes are in effect maybe you should try clearing your cache on the chrome browser if you do not see it like this. Also I see that you have modified the module thumb display property – https://www.screencast.com/t/GIeMsnXjkoSX to a non valid value affecting all the modules on the page and this could cause problems.
Thanks
Hello all,
I minified my style.css and replaced the old one with it. Though I can see it on the server external test-websites still show my old “big” style.css.
Is this a caching issue? I deleted super-cache and other caches.
Regards,
Christian
Sounds like caching issue on your host setup.
Had issue with client, hosted on GoDaddy, similar issue. Had to clear the ‘cache’ in the GoDaddy panel twice to see changes on home page, or product pages.
Also, with Chrome, helps to do the force reset option as well when viewing a page after update.
Not sure that helps – but not theme specific.
But ALSO check the ‘system status’ to ensure you have enough RAM allocated to WP.
We’re not having that issue here, but we have a more controlled setup than you.
(I don’t work here; just been using the TD themes for 3 years now!)

Hello Bog, are u fine?
Thank you for your reply.
Look, i tried almost everything that u said, turn off all plugins, cache (cdn i dont use), I dont have custom code and the footer wanst came back, dont show up for us…
About the child theme, we do use it but if i desable then, ill mess the thing up with the website.
Have we another option to work it on?
Thank you.
Since updating the theme I have experienced very slow load times both front and backend of the site.
I am showing some 60+ “slow queries” in the Query Monitor plugin, many of them relating to
SELECT post_id, meta_key, meta_value
FROM gmgQKTmJpostmeta
WHERE post_id IN (66700)
ORDER BY meta_id ASC
update_meta_cache()
wp-includes/meta.php:826
Is this theme related ?
Site is http://www.jedinews.co.uk
Hello trakmaster,
Please keep in mind that the Excerpt should have to be applied on your modules used by you and also, the Subtitle will have to be under your title -> https://www.screencast.com/t/7lwBEUZweXfJ If this is not show, please try to disable all the active plugins, leave just Visual Composer, clear all your caches and install only the plugins that come bundled with the theme packet and rule out any conflicting plugins.
Thanks for your understanding!
It could have been the cache that has since reset.
Thank you!
Hi Catalin,
The eternal problem with the Speed Booster plugin is not how Google interprets/see the code, the problem is in the Speed Booster coding.
Please talk with your developer and look seriously a little closer to the problem because all that warnings are related with the Google fonts implemented in this plugin, “Speed Booster”.
Examples of rendering blocking and when appear:
- since I bought your theme, I remove completely any Google font and never I receive that warning; if I use your default font or any other, yes I receive warnings about render blocking.
- when featured image is disabled for posts
- when blockquote is used in comments
- when the post have too much comments (more than 200)
I hope this information arrives to your developer.
I’ve always used your theme without any other untested plugin (only Yoast Premium, Visual Composer & Speed Booster), not even WP Super Cache.
I have to say that removing the Google font, allways we had 99/100 score (both PC & mobile) into PageSpeed Insights and the site charge in 0,4 sec.
Maybe your developers will implement some default option to disable the Google fonts from the panel settings (I think we are many users that keep asking for this).
¡Thank you and best to all!
